âWhoever fears the LORD has a secure fortress, and for their children it will be a refuge.â
When families face hardships, children look to their parents for reassurance, hope, and encouragement. If a father respects and submits to God in all things, his faith will be a source of comfort for his children and help them feel secure, regardless of what the storms of life bring against them.
The Lord Disciplines Those He Loves
âMy son, do not despise the LORDâs discipline, and do not resent his rebuke, because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in.â
It may seem strange to think of discipline as a sign of love, but a lack of correction often comes from a lack of concern. While kids who are disciplined may wish they had more freedom from consequences, children who grow up with no rules or correction come to crave structure and even recognize it as a result of love.
The disciplined child may ask, âWhy do you even care?â And the answer is, âBecause I love you and care about your well-being, and I want the best for you.â The undisciplined child may question, âWhy donât you care?â

Your Father Gives Good Things To Those Who Ask Him
âWhich of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? So if you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him!â
Fathers canât give their children everything they want. But they do their best to give good gifts and fulfill their childrenâs needs. Have you ever had a person literally try to bring you down or set you up for a fall or lie on you? Do you know someone that seems to enjoy when you are feeling pain or hurt and have you ever wondered WHY do they conspire against me or hurt me on purpose? What do we do and what are we expected to do as Christians when people come against us on purpose? Why doesnt God just strike them down on our behalf? After all, WE are Christians right, and isnt God supposed to fight on our behalf?
Well according to the Word, God tells us to pray for those that despitefully use us and say all manner of evil against us. WHAT!!!!??? Are you kidding God, you want me to pray for THEM? Dont you see what they are doing to me? Why should I pray for them when they are the ones that are wrong? Why God? How many times have you had that same conversation with the Lord? Lets be honest here, I know I have had that conversation on more than one occasion with the Lord and yes, while I am in the midst of being SAVED.
When people compete with us or conspire against us or try to set a trap for us, usually somewhere in the background is the underlying factor of we have something that they want. Be it a persons love, a job or family or peace and joy, something that they do not have and long to have so they covet what we have and try to take it from us or stop us from enjoying what we have.
Matthew 5:44 shows us this.

Blessed Is The Man With Many Children
âChildren are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in oneâs youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.â
The psalmist wrote that a father with many children will be safer from his enemies. Children depend on their parents for protection and guidance. But as they mature into adulthood, the relationship often shifts, and children become advocates, caretakers, protectors, and counselors for their parents.

Is Coronavirus A Biblical Plague From In The Book Of Revelation
So, is COVID-19 one of the seven plagues mentioned in Revelation 16-17? While it might be tempting to try and identify this virus with one of those plagues, I believe there are a couple of reasons not to. The first reason is that these seven plagues are identified as the completion of Gods wrath, and the plagues seem directed solely towards those who belong to the kingdom of the Antichrist. But this virus is not as discriminating. There seems to be no one who is immune to it. Saint and skeptic alike are affected by it.
A second reason to doubt that it is one of the plagues of Revelation is that we know the source of this virus. As many of the coronaviruses do, it jumped from an animal to a human and spread from there. COVID-19 is simply more contagious than most, as well as generally more deadly.
To all appearances, COVID-19 seems to be just a natural event rather than a supernatural action of God. It is an event that is not unique in history but is, apart from its severity, rather common. It is even something that our infectious disease experts have been anticipating, and warning us about, for many years.
