As For Me And My Household We Will Serve The Lord
âBut if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.â
Parents make important decisions for their families about how to use their resources, how to spend their time, what to prioritize, and even what ideas and worldviews will influence those decisions. A father plays an important role in shaping their familyâs ideology. A good father makes choices that help their spouses and children orient their lives around God and recognize opportunities to serve his purposes.
Your Faith Will Be A Refuge For Your Children
âWhoever fears the LORD has a secure fortress, and for their children it will be a refuge.â
When families face hardships, children look to their parents for reassurance, hope, and encouragement. If a father respects and submits to God in all things, his faith will be a source of comfort for his children and help them feel secure, regardless of what the storms of life bring against them.
The Lord Disciplines Those He Loves
âMy son, do not despise the LORDâs discipline, and do not resent his rebuke, because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in.â
It may seem strange to think of discipline as a sign of love, but a lack of correction often comes from a lack of concern. While kids who are disciplined may wish they had more freedom from consequences, children who grow up with no rules or correction come to crave structure and even recognize it as a result of love.
The disciplined child may ask, âWhy do you even care?â And the answer is, âBecause I love you and care about your well-being, and I want the best for you.â The undisciplined child may question, âWhy donât you care?â

Your Father Gives Good Things To Those Who Ask Him
âWhich of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? So if you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him!â
Fathers canât give their children everything they want. But they do their best to give good gifts and fulfill their childrenâs needs. Jesus uses this example to remind us that God is a much better father than any human could ever be, and as his children, we can trust God to provide us with good things.
Peace Promoters Have A Reward
Proverbs 12: 20 reads, Deceit is in the hearts of those who plot evil, but those who promote peace have joy.
What does the Bible say about peace breakers? The Bible says that their hearts are filled with deceit. On the contrary, those who choose to promote peace are always joyful for this is the reward from the Lord. If you want to have a happy family, one that has the joy of the Lord, then make peace promotion your priority as a family. Even as you create personal Bible quotes about family for your family, consider putting those that emphasize on peace. Your family’s success will be assured if everyone embraces peace.

His Father Saw Him And Was Filled With Compassion For Him
âBut while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.â
The Prodigal Son is a powerful portrayal of a loving father. The father in Jesusâ story symbolizes God and his love for us, and he also shows us a love every dad should aspire to. His son effectively said, âI wish you were dead so I could have my inheritanceâ and then abandoned him. Despite the hurt he surely felt, the father not only welcomed his son with open arms, but he ran to greet him, hugging and kissing him.
At times children deeply wound their fathers. The ideal father humbles himself and doesnât allow his pain or frustration to overpower his love.
What The Bible Says About The Origin Of Evil
Did God create evil? Some people say no. They argue that man’s free will is the source of evil. But didn’t God create free will? And doesn’t that make Him the ultimate source of evil? Doesn’t that make Him responsible for our sins? Is that why the Lord says in Isaiah 45:7 , “I make peace and create evil”? If God isn’t the source of evil, what can the Bible possibly mean when it tells us that “an evil spirit from God” came upon King Saul ?

Blessed Are The Children Of The Righteous
âThe righteous lead blameless lives blessed are their children after them.â
Righteousness doesnât lead to wealth and prosperity. But it does change the way we respond to our circumstances and how others see us. A father who pursues righteousness wonât find himself in compromising positions or be an embarrassment to his children. Rather, heâll provide his children with a model worth following, and his righteousness will change the way others treat his family as well.
Peace With The Enemies
Proverbs 16: 7 reads, When the Lord takes pleasure in anyone’s ways, he causes their enemies to make peace with them.
God understands how powerful peace is. When you please him he rewards you with peaceful neighbors. You will be surprised when your enemies turn around just because the Lord’s favor is upon your life.

When People Conspire Against You Bible Study
- Posted in Bible Studies
Have you ever had a person literally try to bring you down or set you up for a fall or lie on you? Do you know someone that seems to enjoy when you are feeling pain or hurt and have you ever wondered WHY do they conspire against me or hurt me on purpose? What do we do and what are we expected to do as Christians when people come against us on purpose? Why doesnt God just strike them down on our behalf? After all, WE are Christians right, and isnt God supposed to fight on our behalf?
Well according to the Word, God tells us to pray for those that despitefully use us and say all manner of evil against us. WHAT!!!!??? Are you kidding God, you want me to pray for THEM? Dont you see what they are doing to me? Why should I pray for them when they are the ones that are wrong? Why God? How many times have you had that same conversation with the Lord? Lets be honest here, I know I have had that conversation on more than one occasion with the Lord and yes, while I am in the midst of being SAVED.
When people compete with us or conspire against us or try to set a trap for us, usually somewhere in the background is the underlying factor of we have something that they want. Be it a persons love, a job or family or peace and joy, something that they do not have and long to have so they covet what we have and try to take it from us or stop us from enjoying what we have.
Matthew 5:44 shows us this.
Blessed Is The Man With Many Children
âChildren are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in oneâs youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.â
The psalmist wrote that a father with many children will be safer from his enemies. Children depend on their parents for protection and guidance. But as they mature into adulthood, the relationship often shifts, and children become advocates, caretakers, protectors, and counselors for their parents.

Do Not Concentrate On Revenging
1st Thessalonians 5: 15 reads, Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.
The secret of winning as a family is to let things go. The pressure of having to live in a world where many people are after their own gains are numerous. Your family may suffer injustices as a result of this, and the last thing you want to do is sit back and watch people take advantage. Well, that is exactly what the word of God asks of you. Keep praying for you and your family as you wait on God’s vengeance which is sure and perfect. When you do good to others, the peace of God will dwell within you and your family.
Proverbs 1: 2: A Good Man Leaves An Inheritance To His Childrens Children
This verse keeps our life goals, our vision and our legacy front and center when were choosing how to use our money today. When we weigh what we want now against what we really want later, we realize how temporary satisfaction pales in comparison to a legacy of purpose and generational fulfillment.
And an inheritance is not limited to money. It also includes godly character qualities like integrity and trustworthiness. Combining a financial inheritance with wisdom and godliness ensures that the next generation will also manage Gods blessings Gods way for Gods glory long after Ive graduated to heaven.

Pay Evil With Blessings
1st Peter 3: 9-11 reads, 9 Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. 10 For, Whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech. 11 They must turn from evil and do good they must seek peace and pursue it.
All Christian families are called to pursue peace by all means. It does not matter if you are provoked to react differently, focus on the end goal for the reward of blessing is assured.
All Believers In Jesus Christ Belong To The Kingdom Of God
Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with Gods people and also members of his household.Ephesians 2:19
This verse follows the great passage that lays out how we have been saved by faith in Jesus . In it, the terms foreigners and strangers are used as metaphors for our condition before our faith in Jesus Christ. Before we believed, we were outside the covenant and considered foreigners or strangers in Gods kingdom . But because of our faith in him, we are now part of Gods community strangers who have been welcomed in.

Is Coronavirus A Biblical Plague From In The Book Of Revelation
So, is COVID-19 one of the seven plagues mentioned in Revelation 16-17? While it might be tempting to try and identify this virus with one of those plagues, I believe there are a couple of reasons not to. The first reason is that these seven plagues are identified as the completion of Gods wrath, and the plagues seem directed solely towards those who belong to the kingdom of the Antichrist. But this virus is not as discriminating. There seems to be no one who is immune to it. Saint and skeptic alike are affected by it.
A second reason to doubt that it is one of the plagues of Revelation is that we know the source of this virus. As many of the coronaviruses do, it jumped from an animal to a human and spread from there. COVID-19 is simply more contagious than most, as well as generally more deadly.
To all appearances, COVID-19 seems to be just a natural event rather than a supernatural action of God. It is an event that is not unique in history but is, apart from its severity, rather common. It is even something that our infectious disease experts have been anticipating, and warning us about, for many years.
