Base Our Worth On What God Thinks
The problem is people never love perfectly. Their views and opinions are constantly changing. They can never completely fill us up. And quite honestly, some people love horribly. Let me just say to the child who has never been unconditionally loved or accepted by a parent, I am truly sorry but it is NOT your fault and it does NOT mean you are worthless.
I believe the only way to gain deep rooted self-worth is to understand how God, your creator, views you. Even if you struggle with something as dark as depression and suicidal thoughts, God can and will help you, because His love is perfect, unconditional, and pure. He thinks you are worthy. Once you understand this in the core of your being, in your soul, you will no longer depend on the fleeting approval of others, but your worth will be built on the solid foundation of an unchanging God.
It is absolutely possible with Gods help to stop hating yourself. If you will start looking at yourself the way God sees you, you can change your self-loathing to self-assurance. You can change from hating yourself to knowing you are made in Gods image. God says you are: awesome, special, loved, cherished, beautiful, chosen, and so much more.
Do you ever wonder Am I worthy of Gods love?
Below are some of my favorite verses from the Bible that describe who you are in Gods eyes.

Do the voices in your head say youre not good enough, smart enough, pretty enoughor just not enough, period? Its time to stop listening to lies that sabotage your confidence and embrace the truth of who God says you are.
Popular author and speaker Sharon Jaynes exposes the lies that keep you bogged down in shame, insecurity, and feelings of inadequacy. By recognizing the lies and replacing them with truth, youll be able to silence the voice inside that whispers youre just not good enough accept Gods grace and move past failures that have defined and confined you preload your heart with truth to fight your deepest insecurities.
Your confidence and faith will grow when you trade self-defeating thoughts for Gods truth. Today is the day to embrace your incredible worth as a woman who is uniquely fashioned and spiritually empowered.
A Jesus Did Raise Lazarus From The Dead
John reported this miracle so that you would believe in Jesus and have eternal life in His name. But Satan always attacks essential truths. So, it’s no accident that liberal critics dispute that this miracle really happened. They argue that John presents the raising of Lazarus as a crucial event that precipitated Jesus’ death at the hands of the Jewish leaders. If this is so, they say, why do the other three Gospels omit this important event? They conclude that John fabricated this story to illustrate some spiritual truths about Jesus. For example, William Barclay concludes , “It does not really matter whether or not Jesus literally raised a corpse to life in A.D. 30, but it matters intensely that Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life for every man who is dead in sin and dead to God today.” Strange reasoning!
That’s like saying that it doesn’t really matter whether Jesus was raised bodily from the dead, as long as we learn the spiritual lessons from the story. Paul refutes that nonsense by arguing that if Christ is not literally raised from the dead, our faith is worthless . If Jesus did not literally raise Lazarus from the dead, then John’s credibility as an eyewitness of Jesus’ glory is worthless. His entire Gospel becomes just a clever fable, alongside Aesop’s fables, but not worth staking your life and eternal destiny on.

Nothing Can Steal Your Worth In Christ
Sin and shame are the main culprits in hindering our sense of worth. And certainly, we cant ignore them. However, we also cannot remain stuck in them, allowing self-condemnation to steal our sense of worth in Christ. This is a huge distraction that comes only from the enemy. God loved us while we were still sinners! And He continues to love us in order to bring us to the saving knowledge of His Son. Dont let anyone make you believe you are worthless to the Lord. Your past and current mistakes are always, always redeemable!
God is faithful and just. He will forgive your sins and purify you. Nothing can steal your worthnot even sin and shame. Daily, we can enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. We can go boldly to His throne to receive forgiveness. Nothing builds self-worth more than knowing we are walking in obedience to God. And its because of what Hes done for us that we want to be obedient. What a beautiful relationship with the Savior that builds our worth on the foundation of His sacrifice!

Psalm : : He Heals The Brokenhearted And Binds Up Their Wounds
This verse talks about how when you are broken, the Lord will bind your winds and make it better. The Lord is always there when we stray away and is always ready to take care of us. Has your heart ever been broken? As time went on did you notice it slowly going back together and feeling whole again? That was the Lord working in your heart.
Bible Verses About Useless People

This wicked people, who refuse to listen to My words, who walk in the stubbornness of their hearts and have gone after other gods to serve them and to bow down to them, let them be just like this waistband which is totally worthless.
You have made us mere offscouring and refuseIn the midst of the peoples.
Son of man, the house of Israel has become dross to Me all of them are bronze and tin and iron and lead in the furnace they are the dross of silver. Therefore, thus says the Lord God, Because all of you have become dross, therefore, behold, I am going to gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.

Bible Verses About Guilt
Most believers if not all believers have felt some type of guilt in their walk of faith at some point. When we talk about guilt we must talk about the gospel. We are all guilty of sinning before a holy and just God. Gods standard of goodness is perfection and we all fall so short.
God would be just and loving in condemning us to hell. Out of His love, mercy, and grace God came down in the form of man and lived the perfect life that we could not.
Jesus willfully sacrificed His life for us. He died, was buried, and was resurrected for your sins. He took your guilt away. God commands all men to repent and trust in Christ.
Jesus is the only way to Heaven. Jesus paid everything in full. Through Christ a believers sins are forgiven. Satan tries to discourage us and seeks to make us feel worthless and defeated.
Why believe in Satans lies? Jesus paid your sin debt. Dont dwell on your past sins. Dwell on Gods love for you. Dwell on His grace. In Christ we are free of condemnation. You are forgiven. How much more will the blood of Christ wash away your past and future sins?
What is stronger than the blood of Christ? Is guilt always bad? No, Sometimes guilt is good such as when you have unrepentant sin. Guilt is to make us repent. Stop being distracted by your past. Fix your eyes on Jesus.
Sometimes we feel guilty over our past sins.
1. Isaiah 43:25 I, I am the one who blots out your transgression for my own sake, and Ill remember your sins no more.
What Does The Bible Say About Emotions
Living by faith and not allowing our emotions to lead us can be complicated to tackle. Our feelings can change at the drop of a hat, the tune of a song, or the embrace of a friend. Can we trust our own feelings, allowing them to guide our decisions if they are so quickly changing?
Are they something to rule our lives? Are they something that should guide our decisions?
Its not foreign to God for humans to have emotions in life, as Jesus famously wept in John 11:35 over the death of His friend Lazarus . The Bible also regularly shares about when God and Jesus were angered by what people did on earth.
However, what does the Bible say about our emotions, primarily how best to handle those feelings we have in ways that are pleasing to God as well as to ourselves?
It is possible to manage these emotions God has gifted us in these bodies. But it is through understanding what emotions are and how we should act with that we are able to manage these unpredictable sensations properly.Bible Study Tools

Favorite Quotes From Enough And Why I Like Them
The devil cant take away the promises of God. He cant change the truth of who you are and what you have in Christ. But he can put a question mark at the end of those promises to cause you to question if His word is really true for you.
This causes me to focus on all the things I have in Christ. It also reminds me that satan might be a thief but he cant steal the love my Heavenly Father has for me. Nor can he take away the gifts I have received from the Holy Spirit.
Satan knows exactly which lies to whisper in your mind. He has watched you over the years and is well acquainted with your insecurities, weaknesses and vulnerabilities.
This is something I have told myself many times before. But hearing someone else say the same thing? Thats validation. It means that theres truth here and I have another voice telling me that the enemy is using what he knows about me against me.
The voice you listen to will determine your destiny. When you choose to listen to the Truth, you will live a life based on truth.
What a beautiful reminder for us to choose to listen to what God says about us instead of what the enemy does. The enemy is sometimes sneaky he looks like the people we love and let into our world. When we remember that the only voice worth listening to is Jesus Christs, it puts everything into perspective.
