Dont give up, friend. Use these Bible verses on endurance & perseverance to use your faith to encourage you when you feel like things are getting too hard.

I am afraid to fail.

More specifically, I am afraid to fail the people I love my husband, my parents, my niece & nephew, my friends, my small group, my business partner, and you are included in that, too .

Fear has a way of twisting logic.

Its the voice that tells you cant do it. That youre not good enough. Not strong enough. Not enough.

The voice that says you have failed too many times, so you better just give up now before you fail again.

If you are feeling tired, discouraged, disheartened, disappointed, and you just want to give up, read on.

The Bible has so much to say on this topic and it calls fear out for what it is fear is a liar.

Look over the powerful words in Scripture encouraging you to never give up.

Be Strong And Dont Give Up

1. Psalm 31:24 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

2. 1 Corinthians 16:13 Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.

3. Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

4. 2 Chronicles 15:7 But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.

5. Psalm 28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth and with my song will I praise him.

Psalm 3: 24 The Lord Upholds You

though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.

Psalm 37:24

Its okay to mess up along the way. Endurance isnt about knowing with certainty that each step you take is the right now.

This verse reminds me of this quote by Martin Luther King Jr.

If you cant fly then run, if you cant run then walk, if you cant walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.

Martin Luther King Jr.

Dont worry about doing things perfectly just keep moving forward.

Gods got you.

Bible Verses About Gods Justice For The Poor

FHs founder Larry Ward read the following verses in Psalm 146, when he was inspired to start Food for the Hungry. Its clear that poverty is a result of brokenness in our world, but the Bible says that the Lord will bring justice for the poor in due time.

Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord their God. He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in themhe remains faithful forever. He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets prisoners free. Psalm 146:5-7

The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.

Deuteronomy 26:6-9But the Egyptians mistreated us and made us suffer, subjecting us to harsh labor. Then we cried out to the Lord, the God of our ancestors, and the Lord heard our voice and saw our misery, toil, and oppression. So the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, with great terror and with signs and wonders. He brought us to this place and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.

God Gives Us Strength

God doesn t give us more than we can handle IAMMRFOSTER.COM

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

New Life demonstrates some incredible moments of joy, even in the midst of suffering. At one point, Ben shaves his head in solidarity with his wife. Ava then goes out and buys funky wigs, which lighten the mood, restore their strength to go on, and remind them of how rich they are in love for one another.

Kill Greed In Your Heart

Biblical Tithing Scriptures | Proof Christians Dont Have To Tithe | Verses On Giving

Who is a greedy person? Is it a politician? How about the CEO of a multi-billion dollar company? Or are athletes, musicians, or actors or actresses greedy? Regardless of what image comes to your mind, hereâs something you need to know about greed: Itâs not good, and youâll have to fight it off in your life.

Greed is bad, and itâs something all of us will have to fight in our life. In the words of the Apostle Paul, âPut to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatryâ .

Thereâs a good chance you probably donât think you have a greed problem. But let me ask you these questions:

  • Are you satisfied with how much money you make?
  • Do you want to purchase more things?
  • Does your desire for more money and possessions choke out your interest in God?

In life, the presence of greed will come and go in waves, which is why itâs a good idea to keep your finger on the pulse of your heart and to kill the presence of sin in your life with the antidote of the gospel.

Bible Verses For Not Giving Up

Jesus provided seven messages to seven churches in the book of Revelation. Each of the churches was provided a conditional promise. The promises were conditional upon the church overcoming a specific circumstance or situation.

We will find ourselves, on occasion, in seemingly untenable situations. They might be challenging and they might be difficult but with God all things are possible!

Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, whohave been called according to his purpose.

God knows our situation He will not judge us as if we had no difficulties to overcome. What matters is the sincerity and perseverance of our will to overcome them.

C.S. Lewis

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are quite small and wont last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we dont look at the troubles we can see now rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever

Revelation 2:7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.

Galatians 6:9 Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.

Deuteronomy : 8 Youre Not Doing This Alone

The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid do not be discouraged.

Deuteronomy 31:8

One of the lies we often believe when we feel stuck is that we are alone in this.

Nobody else understands how hard this is. Nobody else has been in this situation. Nobody else feels my pain. No one gets it.

God promises that He will never leave you or forsake you. Just because you are going through a tough time doesnt mean He has abandoned you.

God is with you, always!

What Does Galatians 6 9 Mean

Explanation and Commentary on Galatians 6:9

He lays out the principle of sowing and reaping, using the imagery of agriculture to teach his point. No farmer expects a harvest if he has not planted at the proper time. Paul also makes the point that the principle works just as well for evil. We reap whatever we sow.

Bible Verses For When You Feel Like Giving Up

John 3:16 Verse of the Day for 02/13/2002

Sometimes I want to give up. Im feeling a bit like that today as I steadily try to run faster and get back in shape to run a half marathon in the spring.

If youre honest, you occasionally feel that way too. Whether its a relationship, a job, a heart issue, etc., that feeling of just throwing in the towel seems like a great solution, at least temporarily.

Do Christians Ever Feel Like Giving Up

Christians face the temptation to give up just like other people. Circumstances can feel overwhelming. Hardships arise we didnt anticipate. Others may misunderstand us, criticize, reject, or abandon us. Ministry can be satisfying but also challenging. At times, we wrestle with sin or watch loved ones fall prey to sin despite our intervention and prayers. And just daily life in a fallen world can wear us down.

Christians are human. We tire, become ill, endure conflict, and lose perspective. And, because we follow Jesus, Gods enemy targets us. If He cannot keep us from following Jesus, he sets out to destroy our joy and tempt us to give up. 1 Peter 5:8 warns us, Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

The apostle Paul, in his letter to Timothy, compares the Christian life to serving as a soldier, competing as an athlete, and working like a farmer. These comparisons help us understand the incredible investment of time, effort, and perseverance living for Christ requires. Occasionally wanting to give up comes with the territory but we have tools to keep us on track.

Hebrews 1: 1 Run With Perseverance

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,

Hebrews 12:1 NIV

One of the first questions I ask myself when I feel like I cant do it anymore is, What is the biggest thing standing in my way?

That simple question usually uncovers an answer I can work with. The asking alone is a powerful thing.

So, whats making you want to give up? We serve a God who celebrates endurance and perseverance!

Keep your eyes on the lookout for where sin might have snuck in. The enemy is a master of using sin to discourage, disappoint, and destroy us.

Why Does The Church Talk So Much About Money

There are two good reasons why the Church talks so often about money. First, the reason the Church talks about money is because God talks about money. Consider these statistics on bible verses about money:

  • 16 out of 38 of Jesusâ parables deal with money and possessions
  • Nearly 25% of Jesusâ words in the New Testament deal with biblical stewardship
  • 1 out of 10 verses in the Gospels deal with money
  • There are more than 2,000 scriptures on tithing in the Bible, money, and possessions in the Bible, which is twice as many as faith and prayer combined

Many verses in the Bible talk about money, and for a good reason too, which leads me to my next point.

Second, bible verses about money are frequently used because thereâs a direct correlation between the way we handle our money and our faith.

When it comes to money, we will either worship wealth or worship with our wealth.

Read that again.

Thereâs a big difference between the two.

From the seduction of success to the lure of lust, many things in this world will vie for your affection and devotion. But the most significant idol you will face is money .

God desires our devotion, and he knows you will come face-to-face with the temptation of money, which is why he speaks so often about it.

Money itself may be amoral. But itâs our attachment to and our worship of money that will lead us into sin and making poor financial decisions.
