What Does The Bible Say About America

What does the Bible say about President Trump’s immigration ban?

America is very evil and it will be punished by God. It is so wicked that not only do unbelievers live like demons, but many people who profess Jesus as Lord do as well, but of course these are false Christians. The things that are acceptable now in Christianity like homosexuality, tattoos, yoga, sensuality in churches, and more would have made people catch heart attacks 50 years ago. Why are believers starting to look like the world? We were warned these things would happen!

America is filled with false religions like Mormonism, Jehovahs Witnesses, Hinduism, Catholicism, and more. They are taking God away from our public schools in exchange for deceitfulness and evil. This is one of the reasons that many Christian parents are choosing the homeschooling option. America knows God is real, but they hate Him so much so they push blasphemy like evolution.

Many mockers will be scared on their death beds and God will have the last laugh. While other countries are in poverty America is spoiled and rotten to the core. America is increasing in abortion, homosexuality, pornography, sensuality, gambling, debauchery, pride, greed, feminism, legalizing marijuana, drunkenness, devilish music, adultery, witchcraft, idolatry, idleness, envy, and more. We are prideful of these things and boast about our wickedness. We say we need more money while our kids are living like demons. Our kids are becoming more rebellious and are becoming dumber.

Does The Bible Allow For A Woman To Be President Of The United States

Why were there no female priests in Israel and no female Apostles? Why were there no female queens appointed by God to rule over Israel? Was it just cultural sexism or was the lack of women ruling over men based on the what these people understood and accepted about Gods design of gender roles?

Moving forward to our modern culture, does the Bible allow for a woman to President of the United States?

A brief history of Women seeking Americas highest office

Contrary to popular belief, Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton are not the first women in American history to seek Americas highest office. In 1884, Belva Lockwood, an activist for voting rights for women and for African Americans campaigned for president.

In 1872 and 1892, Victoria Woodhull ran for President of the United States the first time from the Equal Rights Party, and the second time from the Humanitarian Party.

Many other women since then have either run for President from very small parties, or have sought the nominations of the Republican or Democratic parties.

What does the Bible say about a woman being President?

Obviously there was no such thing as a President in Biblical times, so the Bible would not specifically mention it. But the Bible does teach Patriarchy .

The Bible tells us Man is to lead Woman in the Home:

For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

Ephesians 5:23

I Timothy 3:1-4

I Corinthians 11:3

What Does The Bible Say About Voting Government

With the national election just weeks away. Jim Denison, co-founder of Denison Forum, pastor, author and digital-ministry leader, digs into the Bible to discover its insights on politics.

Some Christians say we should stay above politics, especially in such a politically-charged season as 2020, Denison said. At the same time, Gods word calls Christians to be salt and light in their culture. So how can Christians be politically active while remaining Christlike? How can Christians vote biblically? How can Christians make a difference in this season and act in ways that empower their witness when the election is over?

Three points from the Bible offers a way forward:

  • God calls and uses political leaders.
  • God is calling us to participate in politics.
  • Ultimately, we must serve our highest authority: God.

One: God Calls and Uses Political Leaders

It is tempting for Christians to stay above politics and out of the fray. In this day of cancel culture and 24/7 media coverage, and a nation that feels more divided and divisive than ever, it is understandable for good people to want to sit on the sidelines.

However, as Plato noted, One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors.

The Bible makes clear that, despite the stigma often associated with politics, God calls and uses political leaders.

Two: God Calls Us to Participate in Politics

To Do So Is Very Displeasing To God

I am not for President Trump. I disagreed with some of his positions when he was candidating and Im sure I will find myself in disagreement with him many times over the next four years.

Neither am I against President Trump.

I am for God!

And because I am for God, I will do all I can to please God.

I will stand for truth every time, even when it brings me opposition!I will stand for biblical valuesI will stand for family valuesI will stand for moral values

I stand for God, not for man.

And because I stand for God, I cannot raise my words against any man, his person or his character.

What Honoring Our President Does Not Mean

What Does God Say About Prayer?

To honor our president does not mean we must agree with everything he says or does or that we must commend it or condone it. Or that we cannot speak out for truth and righteousness. To honor our president does not mean that we cannot work within legal means to oppose him and change policies we dont believe are righteous or helpful. To honor our president does not mean we cant express where we feel he is wrong.

To honor our president does not mean that we must obey laws if they require us to disobey God. If the President were to forbid us to proclaim the Gospel, we would have to disobey him. But we should obey and submit to all laws that do not cause us to sin, even if we dont agree with them.

Fear God. Honor the emperor.

We seek to honor the President because we fear God. God is the only one we must seek to obey every time, without question. And this wonderful God we fear commands us to honor the President, who is in our Gods sovereign hands and subject to our Gods sovereign will.

What Does The Bible Say About Praying For Our Leaders

Youve probably heard it said before that it is important to pray for our leaders. Maybe you regularly pray for your leaders at church or at home. Do you sometimes feel that praying for our leaders is hard because you dont see eye to eye with the way they are leading? The truth is . . . we may not get to choose our leader or their position on the issues we care about, but we can choose to cover them in prayer.

The Bible tells us several times how and why we should cover our leaders in prayer. Lets dig into Gods Word and take a look at some verses to help us teach our children this important, biblical habit.

What Does the Bible Say About Praying for Our Leaders?

When it comes to praying for our leaders, 1 Timothy 2:1-4 gives us direct instruction.

I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 NLT

Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 NLT

When we pray for our leaders we take part in advancing Gods kingdom on this earth. Here are some of the ways to pray for those in leadership that can impact Gods influence on the earth:

Is Obama A Christian 5 Reasons Obama Is Not Saved

Barack Hussein Obama is the 44th president of the United States of America and while he claims to be a Christian he is not and Ill prove it. You will hear false teachers in America like Joel Osteen who tells the world he is Christian, but you must remember that Mr. Osteen is from the pits of hell and everybody to him is a Christian.

You can be the devil in a I love Jesus t-shirt and be called a Christian to this fraudulent man of God. Jesus was known for calling out fake Christians and I know Jesus would have looked Obama in the eyes and called him a liar and a hypocrite.

Before I start, if you are one of those people who say things like how dare you call out someone elses faith stop judging, then you might be a false convert and you need to look at these verses before proceeding.

John 8:55 but you dont even know him. I know him. If I said otherwise, I would be as great a liar as you! But I do know him and obey him.

2 Timothy 4:13-15 When you come, bring the cloak that I left with Carpus at Troas, and my scrolls, especially the parchments. Alexander the metalworker did me a great deal of harm. The Lord will repay him for what he has done. You too should be on your guard against him, because he strongly opposed our message.

Ephesians 5:11 Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them

1. Barack Obama falsely says there are many ways to Heaven. Who do we believe Jesus or Obama?

What does Jesus have to say about all this?

Ways To Pray For The President Today

Maybe you have been a prayer warrior for the president? If not, lets start today.

The Crosswalk Editorial Staff shares tips on praying for the president. As Christians, we should lead by example and lift anyone in authority up to the Lord in prayer, supplication, and intercession. May God give our leaders wisdom and discernment as they lead, and may we continually lift them up in our prayers.

Salvation: First of all, we can pray for our president and leaders to accept Jesus if they have not already. If a leader is not led by the Holy Spirit, there is reason to be concerned in the direction he or she is heading.

Wisdom: Pray for wisdom like that of Solomon. Leaders need to apply the knowledge that they have been given to make helpful decisions not only for themselves but for society as a whole.

Protection: Being the president is a dangerous job. He is possibly the most wanted man in all of the evil circles of the world. Pray for protection from the attacks of others and more importantly against the attacks from the enemy.

These are just a few ways in which we can daily pray for our leader. Today we can honor God by praying for the president who He allowed to be in charge. We can trust in our great Lord and that He is in control. We may not be lawmakers or government leaders, but we can be prayer warriors.

A Letter To Christian Supporters Of President Donald J Trump

Pray for Your Leaders

Heres what the Bible says about people like the president.

This letter is addressed to Christian supporters of President Trump. The rest of you are welcome to read, but you are not my main audience.

Abortion and homosexuality are the two main issues that define conservative Christianity today. But these issues are not my main concern. My focus is the presidential election in five weeks. The source for this column is the book, The Spiritual Danger of Donald Trump. It is a compilation of conservative Christian leaders who have come out against reelecting the president. Hopefully, you havent put the paper down at this point because you have already made up your mind and dont care what the Bible says about the issue.

First, let me see how deep your devotion to Donald J. Trump is by giving you the falsifiability test. Theres only one question and nobody is going to check your answer but you. What would make you decide to vote against President Trump on November 3rd? If your answer is nothing, then you failed the test. That level of devotion to a mortal man is contrary to scripture and borders on idolatry.

Still with me?

Let me quote you a scripture found in Proverbs 6:16-19:

If you find yourself saying, But what about?, then you are deflecting from the issue and your heart is deceiving you. The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure, who can understand it? Be careful.

19. 2 Peter 2:1-2 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed.

Thoughts On Does The Bible Allow For A Woman To Be President Of The United States

If you are going to apply biblical principles for church and family leadership to a secular government where leaders are democratically elected, then Ronald Reagan should have been disqualified. He was divorced and remarried, and therefore not literally a husband of one wife, as the Bible commands for elders. Christians are not under an Old Testament civil government system any more than they are obligated to follow Kosher laws or the temple sacrificial system.

I am intrigued by this discussion. I have been trying to articulate why I would not vote for a female candidate. I have always believed that man is head of woman, but could only support the argument for the environment of the home and the church. I am going to continue reading the word hiding it in my heart that I might not sin in hopes of finding answers.

I have always believed there was/is a rationale as to why I have felt so strongly about a woman for President being a poor choice. I believe the Bible is the divine, inspired word of God and that it is what should lead all those who love and are followers of God. However, we are talking about the secular world where it seems that anything goes now a days and we are lovers and followers of self. So, maybe the Bible does not apply here? It is just a scary thought, we have moved so far away from the old landmarks, to gray, to anything goes.

    Just my thoughts.

Trump Has Capitalized On This Idea Of Vessel Theology

Numerous evangelical leaders have used the Trump-as-Cyrus comparison to explain how a leader who, while not religious, might nevertheless figure into a divine historical plan.

In December, Christian evangelical leader Mike Evans made the comparison while praising Trumps decision to move the American embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, another act with deep theological connotations. Before seeing Trump right after the announcement, Evans said, the first word I’m going to say to him, ‘Cyrus, you’re Cyrus. He explained that Cyrus was used as an instrument of God for deliverance in the Bible, and God has used this imperfect vessel, this flawed human being like you or I, this imperfect vessel, and he’s using him in an incredible, amazing way to fulfill his plans and purposes.

Likewise, last year, Creation Museum founder Ken Ham used the same rhetoric to explain how God had, in his view, brought Trump to power: God is in total control, Ham told the Deseret Daily News early last year. He makes that very clear in the Bible where he tells us that he raises up kings and destroys kingdoms. He even calls a pagan king, Cyrus, his anointed, or his servant to do the things that he wants him to do.

Trump himself seemed to bolster this particular comparison. He referenced a quote from Cyrus in March 2017 as part of a speech commemorating Nowruz, the Persian New Year.

What Does The Bible Have To Say About A Trump Presidency

Donald Trump has been dubbed the ‘President of the Divided States of America’ by Time Magazine. My Twitter feed bears witness to this. I have seen friends heralding Trump as the anti-Christ and others who speak about him in glowing, messianic terms. The world is either in jeopardy or justified in a celebration â and lots of Bible verses have been quoted on both sides. These social media comments have made me wonder â how should we read world events as Christians? What has our Bible really got to say about such things as new presidents?

    1. The proof text ping pong

When Osama bin Laden was shot dead by Navy Seal team 6 it was accompanied by a telling object lesson in the use of Scripture. My social media feed had two equal and opposite reactions and both sides used proof texts which were batted back and forth like a ping pong ball.

One would quote Proverbs 24:17: “Do not gloat when your enemy falls when they stumble, do not let your heart rejoice.”

Another would quote Proverbs 21:15: “When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers.”

Or one would quote Ezekiel 18:23: “‘Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked?’ declares the Sovereign LORD. ‘Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?'”

While another would quote Proverbs 11:10: “When the righteous prosper, the city rejoices when the wicked perish, there are shouts of joy.”
