How Can I Get My Test Result

Truest Truth | True Purpose in Suffering – 242 Community Church – Ann Arbor

You will be contacted when your results are available. Note that results sometimes take a bit longer than expected. Contact your primary care provider for results, or the health care facility where you got tested. We will not be able to provide you with test results.

The Washtenaw County Health Department is only notified of positive test results for Washtenaw County residents. We typically are not notified of negative results. If you do not live in Washtenaw County, we will not have your information – even if you took your test here. Contact the local health department where you live for help.

How Much Does Testing Cost

Please check about costs before going to any testing site. At certain locations, some types of tests are free or covered by insurance, while others have an out-of-pocket cost. If you have insurance, call your insurance provider to ask about testing costs and what is covered. If you need help with getting insurance, we contact the Washtenaw Health Plan!

    The Livingston Community News

Every Sunday at 7 a.m. sharp, 50-60 roadies unpack three large trailers and begin transforming the Brighton Center for the Performing Arts and parts of Brighton High School into a church.

It’s all part of the nondenominational 2/42 Community Church, which each week serves several hundred of the church’s 900 members at two high-spirited Sunday-morning services complete with a rock band.

Four services actually go on simultaneously, all of which are part of the weekly setup by the 2/42 roadies, which is all torn down every week at 1:30 p.m.

“You have to stay focused or else things won’t get done in time,” says Gary Hamilton, a 2/42 crew member. “When we have a full team, it rolls real good. Most people are very committed. But we couldn’t do all this without God’s help.”

The crew transforms the Performing Arts stage into a pulpit for Pastor David Dummitt that includes a full rock band and three giant screens. The high school drama room is turned into a colorful place of worship for first through fifth-graders, and the roadies make the high school wrestling room look more like a recording studio. That’s where Brad Tate, director of student ministries, delivers his message every Sunday to middle school and high school age students.

“My kids love it,” says Griest. “There’s something for every age group.”This is where 11-year-old Tyler Floyd wants to spend his Sundays. “I like the lessons we learn and the dancing,” he says.

What About Antibody Or Serology Testing

Antibody testing is not currently recommended to make health-based decisions on an individual basis . It is unclear if these tests are accurate or if they tell us anything about immunity to COVID-19. The Health Department does not recommend antibody testing at this time. If you do seek an antibody test, you should also get a diagnostic/PCR test.

Additional studies are needed to understand what antibody level, if any, would mean an individual is immune to COVID-19 disease – and for how long that immunity may last. If someone has antibodies, we dont know if that means the person wont get sick if exposed to someone infected with COVID-19. We also dont know if it means they will – or wont – be able to transmit the virus to someone else. Until we better understand the virus, we cant rely on antibody testing to make individual return-to-work decisions.

You can also check with your health care provider for their perspective on use of antibody tests.

These companies offer COVID-19 antibody testing. Note that we do not endorse these companies or recommend this testing this information is provided as a reference.
