Trust In Godnot Technology

THE BIBLICAL END OF THE WORLD

Technology is a mixed bag of blessings and curses.

On the one hand, it has solved numerous problems around the world, it has alleviated many diseases, and it has improved the quality of life for billions of people. On the other hand, technology can be used to inflict pain and suffering, and it can lead to unintended consequences.

But hereâs the deal:

Technology must be redeemed for the glory of God, your good, and the good of others.

Technology cannot be simply rejected, demonized, or even mindlessly accepted and used. For your technological usage, you need to do so discerningly, and with an open hand knowing that technology is not the solution to every problemâbut it is a vehicle to share the gospel and do good for others.

The End Of The World From A Jewish Perspective

Do Jews believe in an end of time?

The end of the world is the restoration of the perfection of the world a return to the Garden of Eden here on planet earth. The Hebrew bible prophets said that Elijah would come to pave the way for the Messiah. When the Messiah will be revealed there will be massive changes in the world but not all at once. Eventually there will be peace among all nations:

They shall beat their weapons into plowshares. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

There are whole books or others written about this topic if you want to research more .

The Creator created the world in order to give us eternal pleasure. However, the Creators intention is not to give it to us for free, but as a reward for our work, so that we can enjoy it and feel that we deserve it. We call this place of reward the World to Come. At some time in the future this world will come to an end, and the World to Come will begin.

Make Sure Youre Ready

, Franklin Graham quoted the book of Revelation, Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war .

Jesus Christ came to earth as a suffering Servant, Franklin wrote. He will return as conquering King. A day of reckoning is coming, and we are invited to be ready. Have you bowed your heart in repentance and faith before the King of kings?

Thats the most important question youll ever answer. The Bible says its not if but when Jesus Christ will come back to judge the earth. By choosing to follow Christ now, you can ensure youll have eternal life in heaven when all is said and done.

Biblical Prediction Of The World’s End

A number of Protestant sects have focused on the imminent second coming of Jesus as a key part of their doctrine. In the 19th century, groups known as dispensationalists put forth the theory that Christ’s arrival would be preceded by a “tribulation.” Wars, famines, epidemics and earthquakes would be the fate of anyone not transported away in the “rapture” that would come just before the havoc. These predictions drew on verses from the Book of Revelation, the Old Testament and other biblical sources .

The tribulation and the second coming have always remained just around the corner, but some Evangelical preachers have suggested that 2012 may be the time when they finally arrive. Others have drawn on the methods put forth in the best-selling 1997 book “The Bible Code” to determine that news of 2012 is contained in the scriptures in the form of a cipher .

There is a long history of predicting the exact date of the apocalypse based on biblical interpretation. In the 1840s, upstate New York farmer William Miller kicked off an end-of-the-world movement by calculating that the final day would arrive on October 22, 1844. Thousands of people prepared for the end, only to experience “The Great Disappointment” on October 23. The Seventh Day Adventist Church is an offshoot of Miller’s movement .

In the next section, we’ll look at the mainstream view of the 2012 predictions.

How Many Ages Are There

Time was divided by the Jews into two great periods– this present age, and the age tocome. The present age is wholly bad and beyond all hope of human reformation. If can bemended only by the direct intervention of God. When God does intervene the golden age,the age to come, will arrive. But in between the two ages there will come the Day of theLord, which will be a time of terrible and fearful upheaval, like the birth-pangs of a newage.

Zechariah 14 teaches us that the “Day of the Lord” and the destruction of Jerusalem wereconnected. So, the destruction of Jerusalem, which was the Day of the Lord, marked the end ofone age, the Jewish age, and the beginning of the new age, the Christian age of the NewCovenant.

To the Jews, time was divided into two great periods, the Mosaic Age and the Messianic Age.The Messiah was viewed as one who would bring in a new world. The period of the Messiahwas, therefore, correctly characterized by the Synagogue as “the world to come.” All through theNew Testament we see two ages in contrast: “This age” and the “age to come.”

Matthew 12:32 “Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it willbe forgiven him but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgivenhim, either in this age or in the age to come.

Ephesians 1:21 far above all principality and power and might anddominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which isto come.

Bible Verses Of Encouragement For The Poor

In the Bible, it is clear that those in poverty are close to Gods heart. Jesus himself was born into poverty and gave up his heavenly riches when he came down to earth. Constantly, the poor are said to be blessed and we are instructed to value integrity over riches. God has not forgotten the poor and instead calls all believers to join in his restorative work to bring hope and opportunity to them.

Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him? James 2:5

You would shame the plans of the poor, but the Lord is his refuge.

Proverbs 19:1Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity than a rich man who is crooked in his ways.

Psalm 72:12-14For he delivers the needy when they call, the poor and those who have no helper. He has pity on the weak and the needy and saves the lives of the needy. From oppression and violence, he redeems their life precious is their blood in his sight.

2 Corinthians 8:9For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.

Proverbs 22:2The rich and the poor meet together the Lord is the maker of them all.

Scandals That Rocked The Winter Olympics

In Islam, the end of the world is referred to as the Hour and involves Jesus returning to Damascus to slay an anti-Christ who has put the planet in peril. With the anti-Christ out of the picture, a period of perfect harmony will ensue. Jesus will later die a natural death, which will usher in a time of destruction that leads directly to the Hour. In Judaism, there is no term for Armageddon, but there are references in the Hebrew bible to events that could be compared with Armageddon, including the Day of the Lord and the War of Gog and Magog .

In Hinduism, there is the story of the god Vishnu coming back in the last cycle of time as a figure called Kulki, who rides a white horse, carries a sword that looks like a comet and destroys the forces of evil. In some Buddhist prophecies, the equivalent of Armageddon is Shambhala, in which good triumphs over evil however, the planet is restored rather than destroyed so people can pursue enlightenment.

Despite the many theories and religious interpretations, the only thing thats certain about the end of the world is that no one can know for sure what will happen. And until that day arrivesif it arrivespeople will no doubt continue to speculate endlessly about when it will all be over.

Choose Hope Not Despair

|| What Does The Bible Say About The End Of The World? ||

In the same message from New York City in 1969, Billy Graham said people tend to react to the idea of the end of the world in one of three ways: with pessimism, activism or hope.

I belong to that group that has a theology of hope, he said. Because my hope is not centered in this world or in what man is going to do or not going to do. My hope is centered in the person of our Lord Jesus Christ, who the Bible says is going to come back someday and straighten the whole mess out.

If you are a follower of Christ, you also have hope, especially when it comes to end times. The idea of the end of the world may seem frightening, but those who are in Christ have nothing to fear.

Bible Verses About Gods Justice For The Poor

FHs founder Larry Ward read the following verses in Psalm 146, when he was inspired to start Food for the Hungry. Its clear that poverty is a result of brokenness in our world, but the Bible says that the Lord will bring justice for the poor in due time.

Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord their God. He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in themhe remains faithful forever. He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets prisoners free. Psalm 146:5-7

The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.

Deuteronomy 26:6-9But the Egyptians mistreated us and made us suffer, subjecting us to harsh labor. Then we cried out to the Lord, the God of our ancestors, and the Lord heard our voice and saw our misery, toil, and oppression. So the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, with great terror and with signs and wonders. He brought us to this place and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.

Are We Living In The Last Days

There is no doubt whatsoever, that the signs of the end of the world in the Bible are pointing to our generation. Anyone can see thegreat moral degeneration that has happened over the past 50+ years. The moral depravation of this world has reached such a point thatwe are now like Sodom and Gomorrha just before God destroyed that city with fire … 2 Peter 2:6 …’And turning the cities of Sodomand Gomorrha into ashes, condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example unto those that after should live ungodly.’

So is the world goingto end in the next couple of years? We cannot set dates, but from all the signs, we can know that the second coming is ‘at the door’.There are still some things yet to happen that end time prophecy reveals, like the mark ofthe beast being enforced. And once the mark of the beast is enforced, we will know that we are in the VERY last days, right at the end of the world. But please do not wait until that happens to get ready. We need to get ready now and live for Christ Jesus and the Kingdom of Heaven every day.

Don’t forget, none of us know when OUR last day will be. So we need to beready everyday. Satan’s deceptions and temptations are going to get stronger and stronger. So please seek the truth of God’s Word in theBible and start living for Christ Jesus.

Signs Of The End Times

Because of this sequence of unfortunate events, fear has affected millions of people in the world. As a result, many speculate that these things as might be the sign of the end of the world.

Now the question is, are we really in the end times? Are all the bad things happening today the signs of the end to come? Did the Bible predict this to happen? And should we fear all these major catastrophic occurrences afflicting the world today?

Many Point To Revelations

What does the Bible say about the end of the world?

If there was a prize for the most misunderstood source for bad predictions, it would go to the Book of Revelation. It may be the Bible’s ultimate crossover — no other book’s imagery and language has so penetrated popular culture.

Even people who have never read the Bible are familiar with its references: The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, the Red Dragon, 666 and the seven bowls of plague.

Revelation is filled with such contagious imagery that one theologian who has studied its text calls it a “multimedia” book whose popular images operate like an infectious disease.

“They break off from the larger text and circulate like little viruses in our culture that hook on to other things and that’s when they really take off and spread,” says Timothy Beal, author of “The Book of Revelation: A Biography.”

Beal says many people quoting Revelation get the meaning and the symbolism wrong.

“Almost none of the people talking about Revelation have really sat down and read it,” he says. Many people, for example, believe that the “Rapture” — when it’s believed that Jesus returns at the end of the age and all Christians, dead and alive, will rise up in the air to meet him — is in Revelation.

Not true, says Beal.

There is no explicit mention of the Rapture in Revelation. There are references to the concept in scriptures like 1 Corinthians 15:52, which says, “…For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.”

Does The Bible Say How The World Will End

The Bible actually says that the earth abides forever, so then how can the Bible also declare the end of all things? You have seen the signs and placards that have sometimes declared The end is near. But does the earth actually end? The end times is more of a reference to the end of the age and not an actual end of the world or earth. It certainly does not mean the end of mankind. Jesus talked about the end of the age coming and that the end times would be like the days of Noah and like Sodom and Gomorrah . That is much like 2 Timothys description of the end of times but not of time itself. It is the end of the time of human self-rule.

Second Timothy 3:1-5 is a vivid description of what the end days will be like: But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

So the old world will end and a new heaven and a new earth will come . That is encouraging for those who are believers in Christ but it ought to be a fearful thing for those who are not believers and are not born-again.
