Woah that was good! This is a game changer when it comes to biblical time management books.

One of the best books on time management I have read thus far, in fact I will be purchasing a few extra copies to gift to friends. It couldnt have come at a better time being a new mom trying to better manage my time.

Other than its biblical foundation, what I really like about this book is it practicality. After Jordan dives into the theory, he provides practical steps you can incorporate to implement a particular concept as you proceed through each chapter. Chapter 2 was definitely a game changer for me and by far my favorite, although all the chapters were excellent. Here he provided what I call the secret sauce to staying on top of your to do list and getting things done with a proven workflow. Once you understand his workflow system you can certainly tweak it to make it your own.

If you are looking for the secret sauce to redeeming your time and want a easy to read and super practical book, look no further. Get ready to be transformed, a must read book if you are hoping to become purposefully present and wildly productive.

Why Did God Create Time

First, we were born, and then we die. But the meaning of death is just a lie. We all live until our life does end.

But eventually, we become born again unto that of another life that never ends.

Leaving us to wonder how time began.

God created this thing that we call time.

Why would he even create such a thing?

Do you know why?

I believe because God wanted to see not only what I would make my life mean, but also to see how much I would make him mean to me.

Its all about what you decide.

Like if you choose to live right or choose to sin.

I believe it means more about showing all of us what we mean to him.

So yes in a sense

Our life on earth is like a ticking clock, but our new life in him will never stop.

Above all else, time was most probably made to feel how much love our God can give.

So much that he gave us His ONLY son Jesus so that we could know what it means to truly Live.

Take Some Practical Steps To Assess Your Time Management:

• First, monitor your time for an entire week.

Time monitor example

To assess whether or not you are effectively managing your time, you first need to see how you are spending it. This is a lot like creating a budgetbefore you can set up a spending plan, you first need to see how much money you have available and where you are spending it and/or need to spend it. To do this with time, you need to start out tracking where you spend your time for an entire week. I have my students track this on a printed out Excel spreadsheet, but you could just as easily do this on a notepad or piece of paper. Youll want to write down everything. I know it seems daunting, but its only for a week. Youll need to write down everything because you will categorize it later.

• After you have tracked your time for a week, see if you can categorize and calculate how much time you spent on things.

For example 40 hours at work, 15 hours of TV, 10 hours on phone/internet/social media, 7 hours getting ready, 55 hours sleeping, 5 hours traveling to work, 10 hours recreation/relaxation, 3.5 hours of quiet time, etc.

Next, you should consider ways to help others with your time. We have a responsibility as Christians to support brothers and sisters in need. A good way to not forget to do good is by scheduling volunteering and community service on your calendar.

7) And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

Lastly, do not let your life become so busy that you hinder God from using you in unexpected ways.

As Christians we are not to manage our time the same way the world manages theirs. We must make sure that we seek God in everything that we do. We are to organize our time and plan wisely for the future. There are time management apps that we can download on our phones that we should all take advantage of. If youre old school a simple notepad or calendar will help.

We are to take care of the most important tasks first. We should pray for God to remove procrastination and idleness from our lives. We should seek to do Gods will daily.

Continually meditate on Scripture and allow the Lord to direct your life. Everything in this life will burn. Dont put your focus on the world.

When you live with an eternal perspective that will lead to managing your time better and doing Gods will. Always remember that ever minute counts. Dont waste time.

2 Corinthians 5:9-11 says,
