What God Wants From Us Bible Verses

Gods Love Allows You To Change And Grow Into The Person He Wants You To Be

Psalm Chapter 115 Summary and What God Wants From Us

Either way, Christs love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life. He died for everyone so that those who receive His new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.

God loves you just as you are, but He also loves you enough to not let you stay how you are. He wants to see you grow and change for the better. He sent Jesus to die for your sins so this would be possible. When you receive Gods forgiveness and accept Gods help, you can begin to work toward positive, lasting change.

This is another way God acts as a loving parent toward you. Parents love their kids as they are, not just as they want them to be one day. Even if they have a toddler that never listens and regularly has meltdowns in public or a teenager on a rebellious streak, parents still love their kids. At the same time, they want to see their children grow, learn and make good choices in life. Good parents love their kids enough to set limits, give them guidance and walk beside them through the good and the bad.

God does this for you. Once you choose to begin a relationship with God, you experience His forgiveness. This allows you to let go of negative aspects of your personal history and move toward positive change. You also receive His Holy Spirit, who guides you, gives you strength and is present with you every day.

Cast Your Burden On The Lord And He Will Sustain You; He Will Never Permit The Righteous To Be Moved Psalm 5: 22 Esv

God will sustain us, He will never let us fall, and He cares for us. God is able to support us mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Anything that is meant to overwhelm us He wields it to make us stronger, to guide us in building character.

So when faced with challenges and trials, look at it as a lesson and rise above it.

What If You Aren’t Happy

If you struggle with feelings of happiness, it is easy to read through verses and wonder how you are supposed to get that feeling yourself. If you don’t “feel” happy, does that mean you are doing something wrong? After all, the Bible talks about how being obedient brings joy. However, we need to remember that joy and happiness are not the same things and life is tough.

There are many strategies you can use to increase your level of happiness in life. Here are a few options to consider:

You Are Secure In Your Relationship With God: Nothing Can Separate You From Gods Love

Can anything ever separate us from Christs love? Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? … No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from Gods love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow not even the powers of hell can separate us from Gods love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God is more powerful than anything in heaven or on earth. When you accept Jesus invitation to begin a relationship with God, you are secure in His love forever. There is nothing powerful enough to separate you from Gods love. Even when things are difficult or you feel far from God, its not because God stops loving you. The truth is that God will never stop loving you, no matter what you do.

How God Wants Us To Give

Bible Verse Of The Day:Be who god wants you to be not what ...

In giving, motivation is crucial. God wants us to be cheerful, generous givers with humble hearts. He asks us to give as a response to His grace in our lives even if what we have to offer is all that we have.

Deuteronomy 15:7-87 If among you, one of your brothers should become poor, in any of your towns within your land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother, 8 but you shall open your hand to him and lend him sufficient for his need, whatever it may be.

Deuteronomy 15:10 10 You shall give to him freely, and your heart shall not be grudging when you give to him, because for this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in all that you undertake.

Leviticus 25:36-37 36 Take no interest from him or profit, but fear your God, that your brother may live beside you. 37 You shall not lend him your money at interest, nor give him your food for profit.

Luke 6:30 30 Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away your goods do not demand them back.

Luke 21:1-4The Widow’s Offering21 Jesus looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the offering box, 2 and he saw a poor widow put in two small copper coins. 3 And he said, Truly, I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all of them. 4 For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.

You Could Never Earn Or Deserve The Love God Offers You

But God is so rich in mercy, and He loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, He gave us life when He raised Christ from the dead.

You do not deserve Gods love. No one does. But the amazing news is that He loves you anyway.

This is grace: God loves you so much that He paid the price to offer you the gift of eternal life. None of us deserves it based on our own actions or how religious we think we are. Gods love is a precious gift we should treasure.

The Lord Is Close To The Brokenhearted And Saves Those Who Are Crushed In Spirit Psalm 3: 18 Niv

The enemy wants to keep us from knowing the truth that God loves us deeply, he does not want us to receive the courage we need to move forward when life is hard.;

But God wants us to know Him, He wants us to know that He is present there with us especially when we are going through the worst.;

This psalm should remind us that God is not only there with us but He is close. Near to the anguish, the grief and pain we are feeling. He is close to the loss we cannot fill. He is near to the needs we have that we cant even identify.;

He knows our pain and He knows our suffering. He loves you and knows you intimately and there is nothing that can stop Him. Reach out to Him, He is right there.;

God Disciplines You To Help You Learn Because He Loves You

My child, dont reject the LORDs discipline, and dont be upset when He corrects you. For the LORD corrects those He loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom He delights.

Though people often associate discipline with punishment, this verse shows us that Gods discipline is more about training and teaching. That is why Jesus followers were called disciples, or people who follow a teacher.

When you follow Jesus, you become His disciple. In the process of learning from Jesus, some lessons will be hard or even feel like punishment. But God is not out to punish you or hurt you. He is trying to teach you. Your choices have consequences, and God usually allows you to experience those consequences. Facing hard things and overcoming them is one of the best ways to learn.

Dont let yourself get dragged down by hardships or isolate yourself from God and others. Instead, turn to God for help and discover what He is teaching you in the process.

What Does God Want From Us In Our Christian Life

Psalm Chapter 114 Summary and What God Wants From Us

We Christians naturally want to please God and make Him happy. But what exactly makes God happy?

To please God, we first need to know what He wants. Otherwise, we can spend a lot of time doing things we think He wants, but end up not pleasing Him. Lets take a look at what we think God wants, and what God actually wants for our Christian life.

Keep Your Life Free From Love Of Money And Be Content With What You Have For He Has Said I Will Never Leave You Nor Forsake You So We Can Confidently Say The Lord Is My Helper; I Will Not Fear; What Can Man Do To Me Hebrews 1: 5

I believe this verse can be a reference to any sin including the one mentioned . Why I say this is because I know God to never leave or forsake me, I know He is my helper and I know I have nothing to fear.

God comes through, I should know. Life is tough and sometimes you have nothing but God which should be called a blessing in disguise because if it werent for my lowest moments, I would not know God the way I do now. There is no greater gift than knowing Jesus Christ.

But He Looked Directly At Them And Said What Then Is This That Is Written: The Stone That The Builders Rejected Has Become The Cornerstone Luke : 17 Esv

The builders the writer is speaking about are the Jews in Israel who rejected Jesus. They refer to Jesus as the cornerstone. The cornerstone was the first stone that was set during the building process, careful measurements were always taken to ensure that the cornerstone was square to ensure proper alignment of the remainder of the building. Without Jesus, we would have no direction and no foundation.

Evaluate why you are broken-hearted because sometimes Jesus is not the cornerstone of your life. With Jesus firmly planted as your foundation, healing, peace, goodness, and truth will guide you and strengthen you.

What Is Gods Will For Your Life

On the one hand, when weâre talking about Godâs will for your life, youâre not going to find the answer to specific questions you have, such as:

  • Who should you marry?
  • Where should you work?
  • What college should you attend?

On the other hand, what you will find in the Bible are morals and principles that will guide you in the choices you make, which will explore in detail below.

In the meantime, hereâs one key passage from the Bible that talks about Godâs revealed will:

God’s Will In Christ Jesus

Pin on Hope From the Word

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

What if God’s will for us is as simple as;learning to be thankful, staying in constant communion with Him, and rejoicing no matter what? Each of us could spend a lifetime learning to make these things a consistent part of our lives. But when it comes to pleasing the Lord, this seems like a beautiful place to startand the rest will work itself out in time.

Teaching Children The Power Of Generosity

As Christians, our spiritual health is greatly impacted by why and how we give. We know that all that we have belongs to God. We also know of our responsibilities to offer what we have for the promotion of Christs Kingdom.

Teaching our children to prayerfully give, to sacrificially give, and to give for the glory of God is a very important lesson.

When sharing these verses, try challenging them to demonstrate their message in their everyday activities. How can they be more selfless? Ask them: What kinds of ways do they see others demonstrating generosity through Christ?Once you see them recognizing opportunities to give, discuss other peoples wants and needs with them. Help them to understand the difference and why God wants us to help meet the needs of those less fortunate than us.

When your lessons are over, look for new ways to encourage giving in your home. Remind them that giving involves more than money or material items. It can include friendship and time, and many other kinds of activities. Faithfully planting these seeds now will allow the Lord to work in your children. And, in time, you will see that He has helped them grow a cheerful, giving heart.

What Is The Difference Between Knowledge And Wisdom

Have you memorized the Bible verses about wisdom and guidance?

Do you know a handful of verses about dating, marriage, and sex?

Can you quote several passages about work?

You need to know what the Bible has to say about the decision you want to make to be informed. But knowing what the Bible has to say about any given topic is only one part of getting wisdom from God.

When we talk about biblical decision making, knowledge is knowing what the Bible has to say about the decision you need to make. Knowledge is having the right information.

If you have wrong or misinformation about what the Bible says about any given topic, youâll make a wrong, misinformed, or sinful decision.

So, if knowledge is having information, then wisdom is being able to apply that information to your situation. This is the difference between knowledge and wisdom you need to know.

To help you think through getting wisdom from God, here are multiple Bible verses about guidance and wisdom for you to review. Use a Bible verse for guidance when deciding if your decision is the right choice.

Whats The Problem That Hinders God From Getting What He Wants

Psalm Chapter 111 Summary and What God Wants From Us

The problem is that our default mode is to live by our strong willpower and good intentions, striving to attain excellent virtues. And if we arent clear about what God wants, well be satisfied to live this way. But God wont be satisfied because He isnt interested in a goodness thats apart from Him. If He were, we wouldnt need to be reborn with His life.

We may attempt to emulate the actions and demeanor of Christ, but whats expressed wont be Christ, but ourselves. The source is our natural life, not the life of Christ within us. Imitation isnt the same as expression.

For instance, we realize we need to love people, so well strain to love a particular person at work or in our class who irritates us. We might even muster a little love for the person, but what comes out is our natural love. Its not the love of Christ in us expressed through us. Instead, our love is like an artificial flower. It kind of looks like the real thing, but it doesnt have the same feel, scent, color, and overall expression of the real thing because it doesnt have the life of a flower. If we are to express Christ, the life of Christ must spread into our soul. Only Christ living in us and through us can express Christ.
