Who Will Go To Heaven According To The Bible

Will I Go To Heaven If I Am Good

What will HEAVEN BE LIKE according to the BIBLE?

As humans, we tend to see things as either good or bad. Many of us believe that we must simply do more good deeds than bad ones to earn an eternity in heaven. The Bible is very clear about the fact that our deeds, no matter how well-intentioned, will never be enough to earn our place in heaven.

God is perfect. Unfortunately, even the best of humans fall short of His perfection. At the core of our nature, we are all deceitfully wicked and sinful. This is exactly why we need a Saviour. God sent His son, Jesus, to take the punishment that we deserve. You see, even the best of us deserve an eternity in Hell, separated from God.

However, by accepting Gods gift of salvation, we will be granted the gift of eternal life. No matter how good or bad you have been in the past, Gods gift of salvation is available to you.;

Who Gets To Go To Heaven

Unfortunately, not everyone will go to heaven after they die. The God of the Bible is a gracious and loving God. However, He is also just. His justice means that He can not let any unrepented sin go unpunished.;

In the Bible, we learn that God sent His only son, Jesus Christ, to take the punishment that was meant for us. Through this selfless sacrifice, we are given forgiveness. This provides us with the opportunity to spend eternity in heaven.

Everyone has the opportunity to accept this gracious gift!

How Good Is Good Enough

The Bible, God’s inspired Word, has much to say about humanity’s so-called “goodness.”

“Everyone has turned away, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.”

“All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.”

Why do you call me good? Jesus answered. No one is goodexcept God alone.”

Goodness, according to most people, is being better than murderers, rapists, drug dealers and robbers. Giving to charity and being polite may be some people’s idea of goodness.;They recognize their flaws but think, on the whole, they’re pretty decent human beings.

God, on the other hand, is not just good.;God is holy.;Throughout the Bible, we are reminded of his absolute sinlessness.;He is incapable of breaking his laws, the Ten Commandments.;In the book of Leviticus, holiness is mentioned 152 times.;God’s standard to get into heaven, then, is not goodness, but holiness, complete freedom from sin.

We Will Still Experience Emotions

In Scripture, God is said to enjoy, love, laugh, take delight;and rejoice, as well as be angry, happy, jealous;and glad. To be like God means to have and express emotions. Hence, we should expect that in heaven emotions will exist for God’s glory and our good.

We know that people in heaven have lots of feelingsall good ones. We’re told of banquets, feasts; and singing. People will laugh there . Will we cry in heaven? The Bible says, “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes ; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying;or pain” . These are the tears of suffering over sin and death, the tears of oppressed people, the cries of the poor, the widow, the orphaned, the unborn;and the persecuted.

Such crying will be no more.

We might, though, shed tears of joy. Can you imagine joy flooding your eyes as you meet Christ, for example, and as you’re reunited with loved ones? I can.

What Happens Immediately After Death

9781491073438: What on Earth is about to happen.. for ...

After death, we either go to heaven or hell. We see this in the story of Lazarus and the rich man. Lazarus went to Abrahams bosom , and the rich man went to hell.; The rich man wanted Lazarus to go and inform his living relatives about the importance of living a righteous life so they would not end up in hell. It was too late for that as neither he nor Lazarus could go back to the living. You can read the story in Luke 16:19-31. This is a story that Jesus gave, and it shows that immediately we leave this earth, we have a destination awaiting us. In the gospel, the destination is determined by whether we believe Jesus is the Messiah.

Who Will Enter The Kingdom Of Heaven

  • Ed…itorial by Ed DavisNew Liberty church of Christ

Part 2:

Last week, we dealt with the plan of salvation as established by all New Testament scriptures. Today we will look at how this plan is corrupted by teachings that do not use the scriptures in their entirety; instead, they use only those passages that establish a man-made doctrine.; Paul says: if we or an angel from Heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed Galatians 1:8).;

James 2 states: But someone will say, You have faith and I have works. Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believeand shudder! Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless?; Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar?; You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by his works For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead. . ;

So, we should never think that just because they believe, we are Heaven-bound! Think about it.;

You Can Be Sure That You Are Going To Heaven

The Bible says that you can have assurance that you are going to heaven. Its not something that you can just go by peoples opinions or experiences. Its not a matter of emotions or guesswork. Its not something thats worth gambling eternity on.

Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Christ Died For A Reason

If universal salvation was real, then Christ did not need to die. He could have healed bodies and taught morality without forgiving sin. Instead, he went willingly to the cross, forgiving sinners the whole time.

The price for sin had to be paid, and only sinless, untainted blood was good enough. According to Jesus no one is good and anyone who honestly reflects upon his life, and sincerely probes his heart, knows that this is true. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace .

To The Father Through Jesus

Who will go to Heaven according to the Bible?

When we tell people that God gave his Son so that whoever believes in him will have eternal life , we are talking about Christ who died on the cross and was resurrected before ascending into heaven. He is one with God and the Holy Spirit .

Those who believe they can come to God by following the teachings of a good but mortal man named Jesus of Nazareth miss the point. He forgave sins, which only God could do. He told the disciples they would have to eat his flesh and drink his blood. Jesus called the Pharisees a brood of vipers .

C.S. Lewis is often quoted as saying, either this man was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse. We cannot intelligently argue that Jesus was merely good and that we can be good by following his lessons, thereby entering the gates of heaven without honoring and glorifying him as our Lord.

The older son in Christs parable of the Prodigal Son wanted exactly that. All these years Ive been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends . The older son did not love the Father. God desires mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings .

Forgiveness is a gift we do not deserve. We have utterly rebelled against our Creator. We are deeply affected by sin. Every part of us has been corrupted and we are incapable of earning our way into heaven.

You Get To Heaven By Trusting In Jesus

God did something about our situation and our destination of the lake of fire. God wouldnt be a just Judge if He didnt uphold justice. But in His love, He did something so that He can save as many people as possible from going there. He wants everyone to be saved .

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

John 3:16-17

The most important point in the Bible about getting to heaven or being saved is that you have to trust in Jesus. John 3:16 is possibly the most well-known verse in the entire Bible.

John 3:16 means that God shows His love to the world in this way: He sent His only Son, Jesus. If you believe in Jesus, God will rescue you and you will have eternal life. You will not perish as a result of the penalty of sin. Youll be saved from your final destination, the lake of fire.

Jesus came to seek and to save the lost . Jesus saves you by dying in your place. He became your substitute by dying on a cross. He became the sacrifice for your sin to pay the penalty. Jesus died so you can have eternal life.

And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.

The Bible says that you need to repent and believe in the gospel, the Good News of Jesus.

God Created Dogs And All Animals For A Good Purpose

The creation of all animals happened on days five and six of creation. Sea animals and birds were created on day five and God said they were good. Land animals were created on day six, the same day that humans were created. Maybe this was symbolic of the special relationship people would have with the animals that walk the same ground they do? We cant be sure, but its possible.

Ultimately, God created animals to be ruled over by humans. Animals are a gift and responsibility for men to steward, they arent equals to men in the eyes of God.

Being Good Isnt Enough

There is a common assumption in society that as long as you lead a good life, you will be able to go to heaven. However the thought that all good people enter heaven isnt truth from the Bible. This belief assumes that though some bad people need punishment, that most are generally good and entitled to heaven. It also assumes that the entrance to heaven is on the basis of merit and our actions, and not because of Gods grace. However theres no righteous deed we can do that will earn us a place in heaven . Lastly, the thought suggests that hell is only for a few marginal people who do purely evil acts.

Being a good person only isnt going to get someone into heaven. When we sin, we fall short of Gods standards. Sin separates us from a relationship with God . God wanted to give us a way to free ourselves from our sin, so He blessed us with Jesus Christ. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life . Jesus died on the cross as the only one worthy to pay the penalty for our sins demanded by the holiness of God. But in victory over death, God raised Jesus from the grave, defeating the consequences of sin.

Does The Bible Say You Go To Heaven When You Die

Bible Verses About Heaven: 15 Scripture Quotes

The Bible does not say that everyone goes to heaven when they die. It is those who accept Jesus as Lord and Savior who does. John the Baptist went around telling people to repent because the kingdom of heaven was near . He knew that those who accepted the good news would go to heaven, and those who didnt would face condemnation in the afterlife.

Romans 6:23 tells us that the wages of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. If we die before repenting and accepting Christ, we will not have eternal life. This is a life that goes beyond the physical one we live on earth. Jesus is in heaven and when we die in Him, we will with Him forever.

Will I See My Pet In Heaven A Christian Perspective

  • Will I See My Pet in Heaven? A Christian Perspective

In 2007, my family lost a beloved cat. BB was like a member of our family, and the experience nearly broke our hearts. After we buried him, we began to ask ourselves: will we see him again in the afterlife? When I realized that there had to be many other Christian pet owners out there who struggle with the same question, I set out to look for answers amongst local ministers and in the pages of the Bible.

What happens to animals when they die? Many a personchild or adultmourning the death of a beloved pet has asked, Will my pet go to Heaven? Surely God has a place in Heaven for our cats and dogsafter all, they were so cute in life!

So can we look forward to seeing our pets again in the next world? Opinions vary widely because the Bible has not specifically addressed this question. We asked six Christian ministers in the Columbia, S.C. area if they believe we will see our pets in Heaven. All agreed that the answer to this question lies in how one interprets the Scriptures. Several ministers responded no, but others were willing to grant the possibility, though all admitted that there is no clearly right answer. We also posed the question of whether animals go to Heaven to the staff at Columbia International University , but there was no consensus among the theologians there.

Jesus said, All things are possible to him who believes! If you believe that, then get ready for one big ole animal reunion in Heaven.

What The Bible Says About After Life For A Christian

What happens to Christians after death? Generally, death is an opportunity for hope and peace. No matter how old you are or what your situation may be, death gives all people the same chance at a fresh start in The Fathers house. Death does not discriminate between rich and poor nor young and old; everyone has one life which God created for them to live. All Men Die, Jesus Died but then resurrected and went Back Up to the Father.

When death comes for you, it is not the end of your life but rather an opportunity to discover a new one in Jesus Christs kingdom. For Christians, death means eternal life with God and His Son Jesus Christ where they will enjoy their heavenly Father forevermore! This is what makes Christianity unique from other religions because death does not have to be the end.

What happens when death comes? Well, according to the Bible death is not the endDeath does not discriminate between rich and poor nor young and old; everyone has one life which God created for them to live.

Bible Verses On The Future Resurrection Of The Dead

Here are other Bible verses that reiterate the truth that the dead will be resurrected at a future time. These can provide comfort when we are dealing with the death of a loved one.

  • Jesus Christ speaking: This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day .
  • Jesus Christ speaking: Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forththose who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation .
  • The apostle Paul writing: Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changedin a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed .
  • Samuels mother, Hannah, in one of her prayers: The LORD kills and makes alive; He brings down to the grave and brings up .
  • Isaiah prophesying: Your dead shall live; together with my dead body they shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust; for your dew is like the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead .

And later there will be another resurrection of those who in their lifetime had not been called to be followers of Jesus Christ.
