Resources Regarding The Return To Mass
The Archdiocese Office of Worship and Evangelization has created several videos featuring Archdiocesan speakers that highlight the privilege and joy of being able to celebrate the Eucharist together as the Body of Christ. Each of these very brief videos addresses a specific facet of what a gift and a privilege it is for us to attend Sunday Mass. Please enjoy these videos and share them with others:

Are You Able To Host A Ukrainian Family
When hearing reports of the war in Ukraine, and the millions of Ukrainians that have been forced to flee their homeland, many have asked what they can do to help. Over 80,000 Ukrainians have already arrived to Canada through a special visa program created by Immigration Canada. An additional 500,000 have applied to the program and are expected to arrive in the coming months. Many are arriving to Toronto and are without family here in Canada to help them. Among those will be some who are vulnerable to human trafficking, particularly seniors, single women, and women with children. There is an immediate need for families to host for a period of between one and six months some of those who have arrived. If you would like to learn more about hosting a Ukrainian family, please go to Archdiocese of Toronto Ukrainian Crisis and register for a virtual information session.

Pope Francis Prayer To Our Lady Health Of The Sick
O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick.
At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus pain, with steadfast faith.
You, Salvation of the Roman People, know what we need.
We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Fathers will and to do what Jesus tells us:
He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen.
We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God.
Do not despise our pleas we who are put to the test and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.
Pope Francis, March 2020

Prayer To Care For Our Common Home
Father of all, Creator and ruler of the universe, You entrusted your world to us as a gift. Help us to care for it and all people, so that we may live in a right relationship– with You, with ourselves, with one another, and with creation.
Christ our Lord, both divine and human, You lived among us and died for our sins. Help us to imitate your love for the human family by recognizing that we are all connected to our brothers and sisters around the world, to those in poverty impacted by environmental devastation, and to future generations.
Holy Spirit, the giver of wisdom and love, You breathe life in us and guide us. Help us to live according to your vision, stirring to action the hearts of all individuals and families, communities of faith, and civil and political leaders.
Triune God, help us to hear the cry of those in poverty, and the cry of the earth, so that we may together care for our common home. Amen.
This prayer from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops is based on Pope Francis’ Laudato Si’: On Care for Our Common Home
Amen.

A Message From Fr Zachary Cecil Pastor
We are in the first phase of Beacons of Light. Beacons of Light, a term you have undoubtedly heard many times, began a couple of years ago when the Archdiocese started to evaluate and deeply look at where we are and where we are going as an Archdiocese. With the desire to build upon the rich and enduring history of the Archdiocese, it became clear that some changes needed to happen. A plan was formulated and named Beacons of Light. At the highest level it was determined that the best possible chance for success for the parishes of the archdiocese would be to group into Families of Parishes. These Families would then work together to create a stable and lively structure for their particular area. The groupings have now been formed The St. Lawrence, St. Teresa, St. William, and Resurrection of Our Lord are now a Beacons of Light Family of Parishes also known as the SW-4 Family.
Our Family of Parishes now has the potential to create a lot of good for our parishes. Now in phase one of Beacons of Light, we are committed to coming together, getting to know each other, and forming groups that will help us with this endeavor.
I ask that you would please pray for me, our archdiocese, our parishes, and our Parochial Vicars.
Please know you are in my daily prayers.
Fr. Zachary Cecil

A Prayer For Protection In Time Of Pandemic
O Mary, you always brighten our path as a sign of salvation and of hope. We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who, at the Cross, took part in Jesus pain while remaining steadfast in the faith. O loving mother, you know what we need, and we are confident you will provide for us as at Cana in Galilee. Intercede for us with your Son Jesus, the Divine Physician, for those who have fallen ill, for those who are vulnerable, and for those who have died. Intercede also for those charged with protecting the health and safety of others and for those who are tending to the sick and seeking a cure. Help us, O Mother of Divine Love, to conform to the will of the Father and to do as we are told by Jesus, who took upon himself our sufferings and carried our sorrows, so as to lead us, through the Cross, to the glory of the Resurrection. Amen.
Under thy protection, we seek refuge, O Holy Mother of God. In our needs, despise not our petitions, but deliver us always from all dangers, O glorious and blessed Virgin. Amen.Adapted from the prayer of Pope Francis

A Letter from Bishop Frank J. Caggiano
My Dear Friends in Christ,A Bridge Home is the theme of the 2022 Bishops Appeal, formerly called the Annual Catholic Appeal, and it highlights hope, renewal and evangelization in our diocese. The Appeal invests in services that continue to engage those in their faith and build a strong bridge to so many who are struggling. Now it is more important than ever to reunite our Church, affirm our faithful and welcome others back.I am grateful for your support this past year as we continue to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic and we once again gather within our parishes, homes and communities. This is possible because of your faith and generosity. The Diocese of Bridgeport has a long tradition of providing programs that serve those in need and prepare for the future of our Catholic faith. This years Appeal goal is $8.1 million and remains unchanged from last year.I personally invite you to join with me in making a gift and building A Bridge Home, one living stone at a time. We have been through much together as a family in faith, and we have much to look forward to because we are a people of hope.I pray for Gods blessings on you and your family.Faithfully in Christ,Most Reverend Frank J.
