Post Tribulation Rapture Proof In The Timing Of The Signs Of The Sixth Seal

The Book of Revelation (5) The 7th Seal (Revelation 8:1-2)

Matthew 24 is a perfect chronology. It absolutely matches the first six seals of Revelation. Many that believe in the Pre-Tribulational Rapture have pointed out the first four or five seals match Matthew 24 but they ignore that sixth seal is mentioned as well because it contradicts their Pre-tribulation Rapture system. Be honest and tell me if these verses are talking about the same event:

Mat 24:29 KJV Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

Rev 6:12-14 KJV And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

Obviously this a description of the same event. So whats the big deal? In Matthew, the next verse is the Coming of The Lord which happens at the end of the seven years. Obviously in Revelation it is at the sixth seal. That is too early for Pre-Tribbers because they believe there must follow the Seventh Seal, then the Seven Trumpets, then the Seven Bowls of Wrath. So they have a big problem with their timing.

Bible Commentary For Revelation : 1

Wesley’s Notes for Revelation 8:1

8:1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven – Such a silence is mentioned but in this one place. It was uncommon, and highly observable: for praise is sounding in heaven day and night. In particular, immediately before this silence, all the angels, and before them the innumerable multitude, had been crying with a loud voice and now all is still at once: there is an universal pause. Hereby the seventh seal is very remarkably distinguished from the six preceding. This silence before God shows that those who were round about him were expecting, with the deepest reverence, the great things which the Divine Majesty would farther open and order. Immediately after, the seven trumpets are heard, and a sound more august than ever. Silence is only a preparation: the grand point is, the sounding the trumpets to the praise of God. About half an hour – To St. John, in the vision, it might seem a common half hour.

People’s Bible Notes for Revelation 8:1

Great White Throne Judgment

At the end of the thousand years the holy city, New Jerusalem, will descend from Heaven with all of the saints inside. After the city comes to rest, the wicked will come to life from their graves. The wicked, from Cain on down to the Second Coming will number in the tens of billions. Remember that most of these people did not see the Second Coming because they were asleep in their graves. On this day of resurrection, two great classes of people will be present. The saints, a thousand years older, but free of the aging process and any deformity, will see the wickeds miserable and degenerate condition. The wicked will rise from their graves just as they went in. The wicked will be astonished as they study the gleaming walls of New Jerusalem. They will see family members, friends, and individuals who they regarded as poor, weak, unsophisticated, and uneducated. Generals, kings, presidents, scholars, statesmen, tycoons, religious leaders, and greedy employers will be found standing outside the city.

Jesus will resurrect the wicked for three reasons:

The Second Scene In Heaven

The second scene in the description of the Tribulation occurs in Revelation 10:1-11:14. This scene includes a strong angel which is a giant angel . During this break in the description of the Tribulation period, two witnesses appear . Their purpose is to serve as witnesses however, we are not told what they will communicate. This scene focuses on the spread of the gospel and the ministry of the two witnesses.

The Setting For The Fifth Seal

Sealsoft Revelation Chart Sermon Reference

To better appreciate the fifth seal, consider the setting on Earth when martyrdom begins. About two and a half years after the Great Tribulation begins, God will send a fifth judgment to impact Earth. He will release Lucifer, the devil, and his angels, from the Abyss . At this point in time, almost everyone will have heard Jesus gospel , but many people will have refused to love the truth and be saved. This is why God will release the devil.

When the Lord releases the devil and his angels from the spirit world, they will appear physically all over Earth. The devil will masquerade as Almighty God and millions of the devils angels will join him. Jesus permits the devil to do this because the wicked have thus far, rejected Christs authority. Paul wrote about this event saying, They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

The Last Plagues Of Revelation Also Called The Bowls Of Wrath

Revelation 15:7 describes these seven last plagues as golden bowls full of the wrath of God to be poured out upon the earth. Some translations of the Bible, such as the King James Version and Youngs Literal Translation, use the word vial instead of bowl in this passage and in Revelation 16:1.

Albert Barnes in his Notes on the Bible states: The word used here phialemeans properly, a bowl or goblet, having more breadth than depth . Our word vial, though derived from this, means rather a thin long bottle of glass, used particularly by apothecaries and druggists. The word would be better rendered by bowl or goblet, and probably the representation here was of such bowls as were used in the temple service. The allusion seems to be to a drinking cup or goblet filled with poison, and given to persons to drinkan allusion drawn from one of the methods of punishment in ancient times .

So these bowls are imagery God uses to represent the seven last punishments that He will pour out on a sinful humanity.

What Does The Seventh Trumpet Mean

The sounding of the seventh trumpet signals the long-awaited arrival of the Kingdom of God on earth. The sounding of the seventh trumpet signals the long-awaited arrival of the Kingdom of God on earth. This trumpet, which is also called the third woe , will be one of the most important announcements in human history. The establishment of the Kingdom of God on earth is the fulfillment of biblical prophecies recorded throughout the Bible.

In the interpretation of King Nebuchadnezzars dream, God through the prophet Daniel revealed that eventually a kingdom would arise that would destroy all the human governments that preceded it. Most important, God said this kingdom shall never be destroyed and it shall stand forever .

Years later, Daniel also had a dream in which God confirmed the coming of this eternal kingdom. In his vision Daniel saw One like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven, who was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him.

And again, Daniel noted that His dominion shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed .

Don’t Miss: Bible Verse Where Your Heart Is There Is Your Treasure

Lucifer Attacks Gods People

As saints and angels of God rejoice over the contents of the Book of Life, Lucifer, his demons and the wicked multitude will be moved to anger. They cannot blame anyone but themselves for their hopeless position outside the city. They cannot do anything to save themselves from the suffering that they are about to receive. As they gaze on the glorious holy city and the rejoicing saints inside, they feel darkness, jealousy, and despair. Their hatred for God rises and Lucifer seizes the moment. He assumes command and marshals the mighty host to make war against Jesus, inspiring them to take the city by force. The nature of false religion is to do whatever it takes to save self: They marched across the breadth of the Earth and surrounded the camp of Gods people, the city He loves. But fire came down from Heaven and devoured them. And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. This torment, which the wicked receive day and night forever and ever, reflects the demands of restitution. The wicked will suffer until their debt is paid in full. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.

The Christian Bible describes a time in the future when the Seven Seals will break one by one before the imminent return of Jesus Christ. The first Four Seals are said to unleash the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, who represent death, war, famine and pestilence. Some have already claimed the first Four Seals have broken with many doomsday prophets linking the coronavirus pandemic to prophecies of biblical pestilence.

What Are The 4 Horses In The Bible

What Are The 4 Horses In The Bible? The four horsemen of the apocalypse are four biblical figures who appear in the Book of Revelation. They are revealed by the unsealing of the first four of the seven seals. Each of the horsemen represents a different facet of the apocalypse: conquest, war, famine, and death.

What does it say about the Four Horsemen in the Bible? In Ezekiel 14:21, the Lord enumerates His four disastrous acts of judgment , sword, famine, wild beasts, and pestilence, against the idolatrous elders of Israel. A symbolic interpretation of the Four Horsemen links the riders to these judgments, or the similar judgments in 6:1112.

What is the order of the 4 Horsemen? The Book of Revelations in the New Testament lists the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse as conquest, war, famine and death, while in the Old Testaments Book of Ezekiel they are sword, famine, wild beasts and pestilence or plague.

What are the names of the Four Horsemens horses? Four figures in the Book of Revelation who symbolize the evils to come at the end of the world. The figure representing conquest rides a white horse war, a red horse famine, a black horse and plague, a pale horse. They are often called the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

So Dont Let Anyone Ever Tell You That The Following Verses Are Not Talking About The Rapture Of The Church The Rapture Is Mentioned In Matthew 24

Mat 24:30-31 KJV And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

How much more clear could Jesus have said it? He comes, THE Second Coming, and He raptures His Church FROM HEAVEN! It seems it is from these very words that Paul studied and wrote for us 1 Thess. 4 and 5.

1Th 4:16-17 KJV For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

The Fifth Seal: Souls Crying From Under The Altar

The Seven Seals

Next, the fifth seal is opened and we seeWhen He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth? Then a white robe was given to each of them and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed .

Remember the story of Cain and Abel and that the Lord said to Cain, who had just killed his brother, What have you done? The voice of your brothers blood cries out to Me from the ground .

This is a picture of the martyred victims who were killed during the previous seal and up until the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries when the power of persecution for religious faith was restrained. During this time those who witnessed for the faith with their blood are shown as crying out to God.Read more about the fifth seal

God Sends The Plagues So That All Mankind Will Turn To Him

Some people have the mistaken idea that God is harsh and crueldelighting in making people suffer. But this is most definitely not the reason God will bring these seven last plagues upon mankind.

As our loving Father, God always administers punishment to encourage us to turn from sinful conduct to obedience to His holy and beneficial laws so we can be blessed.

Conveying this principle to ancient Israel, God told the prophet Ezekiel: Say to them, As I live, says the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel? .

This principle that God explained to ancient Israel is true for all peoplesnot just Israelites. God loves everyone and desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth .

The book of Revelations prophecies about the seven last plagues are terrifying and show there will be massive suffering and destruction around the world in the end times. This will be necessary for God to deal with a sinful and rebellious world. But the good news is this will be a temporary period of time. Afterward, Jesus Christ will return to stop the sufferings of the end time, deal with mankinds sins directly and begin ruling the world with righteousness.

This will result in 1,000 years of peace and prosperity.

Matthew Chapter 24 A Perfect Chronology Of End

Matthew 24 tells us exactly what is to happen in exact order. So much confusion has been raised concerning Matthew 24. It is hard to see the Truth even if it were told to some people because so many have been programmed to believe in a pre-trib rapture. If pre-trib rapture were true, you would have to rip Matthew 24 out of your Bible because Jesus got it all wrong. When it talks about Jesus coming to gather together His elect , That isnt the rapture the pre-trib doctrine says but that could not be further from the Truth.

Pre-tribulation doctrine says the rapture is when Jesus stays in the heavens while His second coming is when He lands on mount Olives. THAT distinguishes the two events, they say. Why could He not rapture us into the heavens to be with Him where He is and then days or weeks later touch down on the Mount of Olives? I believe the Bible teaches that the rapture and the coming are one event spread out over days.

Pre-trib doctrine says Matthew 24 is all about the Jews since it mentions Judea, Sabbath days, and the holy place. They say, since it is all about the Jews, when it starts talking about the gathering when Jesus comes, it is not the rapture. That is totally incorrect. Yes, Matthew 24 does deal with the Jews but not exclusively. We, the Church, are Gods elect and we will be gathered just like it says in Matthew 24.
