Help In Secret And God Will Bless You Openly

Have you ever seen those giveaways in the public domain? Where people try to help others openly for the sake of the public eye.

God frowns at such and requests that we help others with dignity.

We must help those in need secretly and without bragging.

Most times, I find this extremely difficult to do, especially in a public spot.

But, I allow myself to be led by my conscience because It is even more sinful not to help at all than to help in the public domain.

If you must help, always try to be discreet as possible, knowing full well that God is watching.

Bible verse about helping others in secret

Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

2 So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.

3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you

May God bless you with riches and wisdom to support those in need around you. Amen.

First Step Before Helping Others: Love Them First

What Does the Bible Say About…Helping Hurting People? Ep. 1: WTBS | Impact Video Ministries

These Bible verses about helping others will not make sense if we fail to have the most important trait we should have. The first step in having a compassionate and generous heart to give and serve others is to love them first. In fact, loving others is the greatest commandment God gave us. We must love others the same way God loves us. It includes people who are dear to us, those who are our enemies, and of course, everyone around us.

But why do we need to love them first?

God wants us to willingly help everyone around us, especially those who are in need. This is because if we dont love them, we might end up extending our hands to the needy for the wrong reasons. However, we should love beyond our natural inclinations. It teaches us to let go of our own desires and focus on the welfare of others. Additionally, only God can give us the strength to love others the same way He loves us. We should allow God to transform our hearts for us to become more like him. Because the more we become Christ-like, the more love we can show to others. So, here are the Bible verses to remind us why it is important to understand Gods love first.

Let Us Not Become Weary In Doing Good For At The Proper Time We Will Reap A Harvest If We Do Not Give Up Galatians : 9 Niv

Acts of service and kindness should be extended to others without any strings attached. This way, if our efforts are not being lauded we will not feel unappreciated or think we are doing things in vain.

That is why this scripture passage encourages us not to become weary in doing well. Our focus should be on how we are able to assist others without receiving anything in return from them. That is why Galatians 6:2 encourages us to, “carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ”. The Lord will give a just reward to those who lead a faithful life and endure to the end.

We Were Commanded To Serve Others

When he had washed their feet and put on his outer garments and resumed his place, he said to them, Do you understand what I have done to you? You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one anothers feet.

John 1:12-14

Blessings aside, we are commanded to serve others. Jesus served, and as followers and disciples of Jesus we must serve. Our life should be a reflection of the life he lived and the life he gave us. When he left the earth he commissioned us to draw all men to him, and there is no better way to do that then to practically give what we can to those in needs.
