Bible Verses About Enjoying Life

This Week at CBN: What the Bible Says About Life After Death

The Bible teaches Christians especially the youth to enjoy life. God gives us the ability to enjoy our possessions. Does this mean in life you will have no problems? No, does this mean you are going to be rich? No, but enjoying life has nothing to do with being rich.

We are never to be materialistic and become obsessed with possessions.

You will never be happy about anything if youre not content with what you have.

Be careful, Christians are not to be part of the world and its deceitful desires. We are not to live a life of rebellion.

We must make sure God condones our activities and that they dont go against Gods Word. This will help us in making good decisions instead of bad ones in life.

Be happy and give God thanks daily because He created you for a purpose. Laugh, have fun, smile, and remember enjoy. Learn to cherish the small things. Count your blessings daily.

Be content with what you have.

Be different from the world.

Reminders

Advice

Continue to do good.

Experience The Presence Of God

He redeems all that He allows, and He will work through them to His glory and to our good if we will give thanks in them. Psalm 100 says that we enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. Thanksgiving is the means by which we experience the presence of God. Its the way we plug into His power source. Its the way we walk into His Holy of Holies. Its the way we experience the very presence of the God of the universe. If we will give thanks in our circumstances, we will experience God in our circumstances. And when we do that, we receive His very best.

Pray this week:

Lord, I want to experience Your presence and be thankful to You always no matter what my circumstances are.

What are you thankful for today?

Life Without The Knowledge Of God Leads To Emptiness

Vanity of vanities, says the Preacher, vanity of vanities! All is vanity.

Eccl. 1:1

Ecclesiastes is a book of the Bible, one of the Wisdom books, that explains how life in this world can be meaningless. Solomon, one of the great kings of Israel, got to pursue everything and anything he wanted to in life.

His conclusions after everything is: Life is vain, empty, and worthless without God. In this world, we will experience life under the sun as one marked by brokenness.

All the riches, learning, and experiences in life end up being empty. Whether people try to live a good life or not, the conclusion is the same: Life goes on. Everything starts from dust and returns to dust .

This is why Jesus says in Luke 12:22-23 :

And he said to his disciples, Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing.

Jesus says that life is more than food and the body more than clothing. Life is not an endless pursuit to get more.

Meaning in life comes from a deeper place than just the physical world and the things that we are usually so busy living to get more of. People who are in countries going through the devastation of war or famine have very little food and clothing. Yet, people still find meaning in life and the will to survive.

Instead, seek his kingdom, and these things will be added to you.

Luke 12:31

What Does The Bible Say About Death Eternal Life And Heaven

What the Bible Says about: Do You Have Questions about God ...

Most Christians have spent some time wondering what happens to us after we die. Recently, we looked at the account of Lazarus, who was raised from the dead by Jesus. He spent four days in the afterlife, yet the Bible tells us nothing about what he saw. Of course, Lazarus’ family and friends must have learned something about his journey to heaven and back. And many of us today are familiar with the testimonies of people who have had near-death experiences. But each of these accounts are unique, and can only give us a glimpse into heaven.

In fact, the Bible reveals very few concrete details about heaven, the afterlife and what happens when we die. God must have a good reason for keeping us wondering about the mysteries of heaven. Perhaps our finite minds could never comprehend the realities of eternity. For now, we can only imagine.

Yet the Bible does reveal several truths about the afterlife. This study will take a comprehensive look at what the Bible says about death, eternal life and heaven.

The Bible Sets Things Straight

The Genesis account of creation says: Jehovah God went on to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living person. The expression a living person is translated from the Hebrew word nephesh,* which literally means a breathing creature.Genesis 2:7, footnote.

The Bible thus makes clear that humans are not created as individuals with a soul that is immortal. Rather, each individual is a living person. That is why, search as you may, you will not find any Bible text that uses the expression immortal soul.

Since the Bible does not say that humans possess what some call an immortal soul, why do so many religions teach the contrary? The answer takes us all the way back to ancient Egypt.

Choose You This Day Who You Will Serve: What The Bible Says About Pressure

The Bible says because were in the world, we will have tribulation, or pressure. It is an unavoidable part of life on this earth. In the beginning, though, Gods plan was that we be free from pressure. The garden of Eden was a place of perfect peace. God didnt put any pressure on Adam and Eve all they had to do was obey Him. Pressure came through Satan in the form of temptation. When man fell, Satan became the god of this world. And now by simply being in the world, we experience tribulation. Mans failure to obey opened the door to a corrupted creation one that we must fight against each day to survive.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places . Were all in a wrestling match in this world, though we may not see it. Were struggling against something in the spiritual realm. To win, maximum effort must be exerted in a wrestling match. Each opponent gives their all as they try to pin each other down. The devil is trying to pin us down to keep us from serving God, by bringing tribulation against us. He is trying to keep us from serving God wholeheartedly by distracting us with the worries and cares of this world.

Where Are The Dead

Simply put, the Bible says that the dead are in the grave, awaiting the resurrection. They are not suffering or in any kind of pain, for the dead know nothing at all. In his teachings, Jesus likened death to a deep sleep. Thus, we have no need to fear those who have fallen asleep in death or to appease them by making offerings to them. They can neither help nor harm us, because there is no work nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom in the Grave. By means of the resurrection, however, God will do away with death forever.1 Corinthians 15:26, 55 Revelation 21:4.

How Did Life Come Into Existence

The issues about the origin of life have been examined based on scientific and theological perspectives. In general, there are three basic views on the origin of life and the universe:

1. Atheistic materialism, which asserts that everything originated from nothing and the result of pure random chance over the billion years since the universe evolved .

2. Special creation, which affirms that God is the Creator of the universe, and that life is originated by His divine power.

3. Theistic evolution, which believes that God made the universe through an evolutionary process, thus this view attempts to compromise the two opposite views: Evolution vs. Creation.

Despite the stark differences, these views share one thing in common: they have no direct evidence, thus we all need faith to believe that one or the other is true . The author, however, believes that true science leads to faith.

Consider these facts, which support the logical arguments on the existence of God: the complexity of the universe as well as the wonders and laws of nature, which will lead us to the conclusion that it is way easier to believe that life is truly originated by the Creator. In other words, it actually takes a bigger faith to believe otherwise.
