1. A new creation in Christ
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!
2. A child of God
But to all who did receive him, he gave them the right to be children of God, to those who believe in his name .
3. A branch of the true vine
I am the vine you are the branches. The one who remains in me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without me .
4. A friend of Jesus
I do not call you servants anymore, because a servant doesnt know what his master is doing. I have called you friends, because I have made known to you everything I have heard from my Father .

Only Christ Can Quench Our Spiritual Thirst
That longing and that desire to be satisfied can only be quenched by Christ. We are so busy looking for our own ways to improve ourselves and satisfy that pain inside, but instead we should be looking to Him. He is the very thing that we need, but He is also the very thing that we so often neglect. We say we trust God and we believe His sovereignty, but is it practical? When you run into trouble what is the first thing that you do? Do you run to things for fulfillment and comfort or do you run to Christ? What does your first response to roadblocks say about how you view God?
I believe most Christians have a low view of Gods sovereignty. Its evident because we worry and seek comfort in things over praying and seeking comfort in Christ. From experience I know that all my efforts to obtain joy that lasts falls flat on its face. Im left broken, far more broken than ever before. Is something missing in your life? What you are longing for is Christ. Only Christ can truly satisfy. Run to Him. Get to know who He is and realize the great price that was paid for you.
9. Isaiah 55:1-2 Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. 2 Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Dont think you can do it? God thinks you can. Romans 8:37 tells us that we are MORE than conquerors. Philippians 4:13 tells us we can do ALL things through Christ who gives us strength. And 1 Corinthians 15:57 reminds us that God gives us the victory!
Whatever circumstances youre facing today are NOT too much for you to handle. Not with Christ anyways. When youre on Gods team, youre ALWAYS on the winning side.

I am crucified with Christ and it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me and the life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself up for me.
Here, Paul did not say, I live in a Christ-like way, or, I glorify Christ through my behavior. No, he said, Christlives in me, clearly showing us that Christ lives in His believers. Because He lives in us, the Christian life is not a matter of trying to behave like Christ, but of allowing Him to live in and through us.

As I sit here and read that statement I realize its no wonder that my identity in Christ was off for so many years- I never saw my relationship as my core identitiy, from which everything else flowed.
All I ever wanted was to be normal. I dont really even know what the definition of normal is but i wanted it. My identity, and therefore my self-worth, was banking on it.
I knocked normal out of the park and guess what i found? Not much.
I felt the same inside.
A self-proclaimed master of busy, overthinking and a deep desire to achieve remained.
Looking back, I can clearly see that my identity was totally misaligned aligned to the things of this world, not of the word.
Learning to rewrite my script and knowing who I am in Christ is the best thing that has ever happened to me!

Truth 1 – I am Significant Because a Significant Christ Lives in Me
We are not what we have and what we do. As Christians we are more than what meets the eye. In each believer there is a living God who loves us no matter what. Our relationship with Christ doesnt rest alone in what good deeds we do or how we perform in life. Instead, our focus must be on what our God is doing in us and through us.
We are His temple. We move and act on His behalf. We are His co-workers in spreading the gospel. Depending on how one looks at their purpose in life will determine their beliefs about themselves. When we feel insignificant, we can remind ourselves that in Christ we are significant based on the truth that Christ actively moves through us. Often times our ego gets in our way, and we dont clearly see Christ working through us.
Truth 2 I am Truly Accepted Because of Christs Love
We all, at one point or time, have felt the brutal pain of rejection. It can take the living breath out of us and leave us feeling unloved. Jesus understands this rejection and the pain He endured on the cross for us was indeed the most brutal act of mankind. Because of His death on the cross we have victory. Jesus didnt go through this kind of torture for us to live life feeling unloved. He did this because He loves us and we have a choice daily to choose Him. His love is enough. We are complete in Him.
