which He will bring about at the proper timeHe who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords,

1 Timothy 6:15

In this verse, we are promised the second coming of Jesus Christ which will be at the perfect timing of God. As Christians, we are not to lose hope and faith in God while we wait on Him.

What Is Gods Perfect Timing

Gods perfect timing is never too soon, and its never too late.

The timing of God is impeccable. God knows when you require something and when it will occur. He also understands when you dont require it and when it is unlikely to occur. He will not disappoint you. You can put your trust in Him with your future, and He will lead you to the ideal location at the ideal time.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

There Are Never Strings Attached

In our lives decision are often made with obligations associated to them. Some are direct while others are indirect .

Gods timing, whether in answered prayers, blessings, or challenges never have strings attached. God will never say Do this for me and Ill do that for you. His guidance and answered prayers are a result of His goodness.

Even Gods blessings are provided with pure intentions. As Christians, God expects us to act in accordance with His Word. However, there are never strings attached when He guides us .

God Has The Answer When We Are Powerless

When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.

Romans 5:6 NLT

Sometimes we think that God will answer us or bless us when we have done something good for him to reward us. The challenge with this way of thinking is that when we believe we have not performed well, we fear we do not deserve to be loved by God. The Bible teaches that Gods care is not based on our accomplishments but rather on his love for us.

How Do You Trust Gods Timing

God

Wait. When we feel in a hurry to move forward or decide that we cant trust His timing, remember the words of Psalm 27:14: Wait for the Lord be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.

The entirety of Psalm 27 is Davids confident prayer when he was in trouble. It speaks of his faith in waiting for his light, his salvation, and his stronghold- his God.

Pray like David about your situation- hand it over to God and wait for him to show you the path to take. Declare Him to be your stronghold and to keep you in His safe-keeping. Have you heard the saying Let Go and Let God? Giving it to God and trusting in Him will see you through.

Make it a habitto trust in Him each day one day at a time.

Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation. Psalm 68:19

Every day he loads us with his benefits: mercies, kindness, protection, and provisions. He shows his love and cares for us day after day, without limits! Not just when we need it, but daily. He has promised this to us!

Trust him when he says he will give you these things. Actively watch for his benefits to manifest themselves in your life.

Rememberhis past provisions and protections for you.

Keep a prayer journal to remind yourself of answered prayers from the past. We have short memories. We sometimes forget how he guided us through the hard times.

Is Gods Timing Always Perfect For Us

If we look at the phrase from our perspective, Gods timing may not always seem perfect. Its important to understand that His timing isnt our timing.

With this in mind, it doesnt mean we shouldnt accept or deny a job offer and it certainly doesnt mean we should refuse an engagement proposal because God hasnt given us a definitive answer.

Gods timing is the result of our prayers, consultations, and knowledge of Scripture. His guidance appears through a variety of sources .

Christians should consult with God through prayer when there is an important decision to make. Prayer is essential to being a Christian and the more we develop our faith, the more we will understand Gods direction.

Gods answers also come through His teachings in Scripture and appears in church leadership. So, we shouldnt pray then sit back and wait for Gods timing to occur. We should use prayer, consult with mentors and church leaders, and talk to family members.

Gods Timing Has Perspective

God has perspective for our lives and for the world. He created the world long ago and His timeframe is vast it is far greater than our short lives.

This doesnt mean Gods timing will come after we are gone, but it does mean that He has perspective that we cant understand. Compared to God we have a narrow perspective, built around our schools, places of work, and places of worship.

We can travel, read, and study Scripture and this give us new perspectives, yet it is still nothing compared to the perspective of God. Trust Gods timing because He has perspective.
