The Bible tells us that when Jesus comes back for a second time He will come with angels and a loud trumpet sound announcing His arrival.At the sound of that trumpet, those who are asleep will come up out of the grave They will not be ugly flesh eating monsters. Where Did Zombies Come From
Maybe the better question is when did people start believing in zombies?
Long before we had access to the internet, televisions, newspapers, and even before ink pins, people passed down information in a different way. Instead of sharing pictures or reading a book, people would sit around and tell stories about things that had happened in the past. This passing down of memories or old stories from generation to generation was often the way that legends were formed.
Where did these stories come from? It is very possible that many of them came from events that took place in the Bible. Remember that in Biblical times, not everyone believed in Jesus. Actually most people did not. The Jewish people believed in the God of the Bible but they were just a small group of people compared to the rest of the world.
Instead of believing in the Bible, These other people groups put their faith in idols, other gods like the Sun, and often times magic. We already mentioned that Greeks feared the dead coming back to life. where did they get this idea? Imagine if you were one of those people and you heard about some of these events that happened in the Bible.
Bible Verses About Zombies
Jesus was not a zombie. He had to fulfill biblical prophecies. Jesus became the perfection that God desires. He loved you so much He took your place and was crushed under the full wrath of God that you and I deserve. He had to die for your sins in order for you to live. He died, He was buried, and He was fully resurrected. He was not a walking dead person, which is what a zombie is. In movies they are mindless dead people who bite people and then that person turns into one. Jesus is alive today indeed and He is the only way into Heaven.
In some places like Haiti and Africa there are indeed people who practice voodoo and witchcraft and make the dead walk again. When someone dies they either go to Heaven or Hell. These are not the actual person. These are demons that are in that persons body. Jesus performed many miracles such as resurrecting people. People get this confused with zombies. When people are resurrected they are 100% alive back to their regular self just like how they were before. Zombies are mindless dead people. They are not alive, but they are walking.

Can You Explain The Rapture
The Christian New Testament refers to the second coming of Jesus in a passage from 1 Thessalonians chapter 4: For the Lord himself, with a cry of command, with the archangels call and with the sound of Gods trumpet, will descend from heaven, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up in the clouds together with them to meet the Lord in the air and so we will be with the Lord for ever.
Here, the Bible is talking about what will happen at the end of time when Jesus returns, on the day thats traditionally known as the Last Judgment. This passage has been taken very literally by some groups, who argue that the dead will rise up and walk around, and those Christians who are being saved, will be physically lifted up into the sky, while everyone else will be subjected to eternal punishment and destruction.

You will never believe what happened! The things that Jesus said actually came true. Even though He had done nothing wrong and had helped everyone, it was like the whole world turned against Him. They crucified Him on the cross. After He died, there was an earthquake and graves all over the city opened up.
Then it happened, three days later just like He said, Jesus rose from the dead! People said that he appeared to his disciples and lived among us again for 40 days. Not only did Jesus rise on this resurrection day, but remember when all those graves opened up? On resurrection day those who had been God followers before their death came back to life. Yes it was the days of the living dead. They walked around and talked to people like they had never died. The once Jesus ascended back to heaven, they were gone.

Is The Coronavirus Pandemic A Sign Of The End
7Teacher, they asked, when will all this happen? What sign will show us that these things are about to take place?8 He replied, Dont let anyone mislead you, for many will come in my name, claiming, I am the Messiah, and saying, The time has come! But dont believe them.9And when you hear of wars and insurrections, dont panic. Since Jesus spoke those words 2000 years ago, there have been many plagues that killed large numbers of people. The bubonic plague in the 1300’s A.D. killed about a quarter of the world’s population. Also since Jesus spoke those words, thousands of people have compared current events to Bible prophecies and predicted the end was near. They have all been wrong. So, as Jesus said, there is no good reason to believe anyone who predicts the end is near.

Interpretations Of The Apocalypse
Although Christ is clearly the central figure of Revelation, the apocalypse was foretold in the Old Testament, hundreds, and even thousands of years before Johns writing. God planned the end from the beginning. The text presupposes familiarity with Old Testament language and concepts, especially those taken from the books of Daniel and Ezekiel.
The final book of the Bible is taken literally by some, figuratively by many. Authorship is debated did John write the entire book? And if so, which John? Is this the Apostle John? Does the book speak of a real apocalypse or a symbolic one? The end of sin for individual Christians and in the world, or a dramatic event spanning several years?
Will everyone be judged at this time? Perhaps all people will go to Heaven because Satan will be defeated. Maybe the apocalypse has already taken place and Revelation is about Christians being persecuted in Rome.
Gospel-believing theologians generally believe that the Apostle John wrote the Bibles final book as a legitimate prophecy from God, but that much of the language is symbolic. They believe that the apocalypse has yet to take place and will involve cataclysmic events worldwide in which people will be judged.

WACO, Texas Quick, before its too late: May is Zombie Awareness Month so its high time for people to prepare for a zombie pandemic.
But thats more than a heads-up for those who are passionate about zombies. Those who yawn at the notion of zombies also have reason to take notice, suggests pop culture critic Greg Garrett, Ph.D., of Baylor University.
To answer the question of Why should we care? when it comes to zombies, he advises looking deep inside ourselves. Garrett is author of the new book Living with the Living Dead: The Wisdom of the Zombie Apocalypse one of three trade books featured in the United States for 2017 by Oxford University Press, one of the worlds largest academic publishers.
Garrett, professor of English in Baylors College of Arts & Science, shared some of his thoughts about zombies past, present and future in this Q& A:
Q: Briefly if possible how did alleged zombies originate and how has their image evolved over time?
Q: How do our 21st-Century zombies differ from those of the past?
Q: Why are people so obsessed with zombies?

The COVID-19 vaccines are recommended by all major health organizations. All major Christian denominations also recommend vaccination.

Did The Bible Foretell Pandemics
The Bible does not foretell specific pandemics or diseases, such as COVID-19, AIDS, or the Spanish flu. But it does foretell pestilences and deadly plague. These events are part of the sign of the last days, also referred to as the conclusion of the system of things.2 Timothy 3:1 Matthew 24:3.
Specifics Of The Apocalypse
The power holding back the Antichrist will be taken away . The Antichrist signs a covenant for seven years with the nation of Israel. This is the event that inaugurates the Tribulation period. From Daniel, we learn that he will confirm a covenant with many for one week which is actually seven years one year for every day.
In the middle of that period of time, on the wing of abominations will come one who destroys, until the decreed end is poured out on the one who destroys . Seven years will begin with three and a half years of relative peace under a single ruler, perhaps one who will bring stability out of a global crisis and will be worshiped by all except those with the indwelling Holy Spirit who discern his true nature.
Next, the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God. The Antichrist will be unveiled by the appearance of the true Christ. The dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so, we will be with the Lord forever .
Christians, living at this time, will join with those who died in Christ. For those still on earth, there will be seven trumpet blasts, signaling torments such as five months of locust who sting like scorpions. Men beg to die but cant.

Since the people are already alive, this is not quite a description of a true zombie, but more of an inverse zombie. However, it does describe what zombies might look like when they attempt to overcome the human race.

Though many of the early “Church Fathers” refer to this passage without any apparent issue — including Clement of Alexandria, Eusebius, Ignatius, Irenaeus, Julius Africanus, Origin and Tertullian–, there are those who suggest that it is a late edition to the narrative that should simply be cut out. This is an interesting argument, made more so when applied.
Notice how smoothly Matthew 27:50-54 reads with verses 52 and 53 excised:

However, to channel the renowned Nahum M. Sarna, we must work with the text we have before us as it stands, even when textual and historical difficulties arise. If we can’t merely excise the text, we have to decide what to do with it. To that end, the primary question applied to this text has been whether to understand this passage literally or not?
