What Does The Bible Say About Finding Your Purpose

God Fulfills His Purpose For Believers

What Does Bible Say About Purpose | Perspective

Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyednot only in my presence, but now much more in my absencecontinue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose .

Gods greater purpose has to always be on the forefront of our minds. We may be offered employment, school, and marriage opportunities that may not fit in Gods purpose. This takes wisdom on our part to wait on Gods peace before making presumptuous decisions that may have lifetime ramifications. Theres great joy in the discovery of His purpose when we trust in Him rather than on our feelings or pressures from other people.

The Secret To Pauls Productivity

The apostle Paul accomplished an astounding amount in two decades of ministry. What made him tick? What drove him to carry out the work that he did? We find the secret in Philippians 3:7-9:

But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith.

This passage explodes with Pauls passion for his calling. Effective leaders, like Paul, are those who have figured out what they stand for. They have identified their purpose and pursue it with a passion.

Paul preached that in Christ he and all believers possess all the righteousness of God. We can have peace with the one who created us, the one for whom we were made. Because of the infinite worth of knowing Christ, Paul devoted his life to knowing the Savior. That was his purpose and his passion. And that purpose and that passion shaped all he did and influenced all he led.

Finding Your Purpose In God Will Help You Come Out Of Your Trapped Situation

What Does the Bible Say Family Bible Lessons Children

How do you come out of a trapped situation?

Well, I think its all in the world. It begins with a mental transformation, . So there is really no magic wand, other than intention and resilience.

As a coach, I know how difficult it is to set yourself free from limiting beliefs and disappointments, and because you cannot see your blind spot, you may believe what is not true.

Most of the decisions you are making with your mind have been implanted years back, because your brain is your core, there are strongholds which we may call limitations that make you reject the word of God.

Some people even spin the bible around to make it suit them because they do not understand this. I dont think God is angry with you, since his abundant love made him give up his only son, to pay a prize for you.

I believe that if you approach him with honesty, he will show you, love. God is still here and helping. He is calling you, not regarding your location and circumstances, because he has a future full of opportunities for you. And when you connect with him, he will act fast and speedily because it is his reputation at stake.

It is not Gods desire that any of his kids be tired of living, stumbling repeatedly. Jesus is the lion that came to rescue you and I, the devil was his prey, and he had long been destroyed.

The Bible Was Written To Equip Gods People

Ephesians 6: 13-17, Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Christians need to be dressed in the armor of God to fight the battles of this world. Where do we get our equipment? Christians gain their protective covering from reading Gods Word and being familiar with his truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation. We learn about these tools from the Scripture God breathed himself.

When Jesus himself was tempted by Satan, he used the Word of God as his ammunition. Gods Word is truth. Anything that goes against the Bible is therefore a lie. To be able to recognize the lies, we first need to know the truth ourselves by reading Scripture.

Consider Desires And Gifts

God normally leads into areas of service through heart desiresbut this can be tricky because the desires of the flesh can deceive . Just as God placed a purposeful desire in Moses heart , God can do this in Christ-followers hearts. God can give the desire to do what pleases Him . Identifying spiritual gifts, natural bents and personality, and abilities can help pinpoint purpose in regard to where and how to serve God. Taking into account Gods unique design can help Christians step courageously into His plans.

When You Feel Rudderless

Sometimes when we feel like we lack direction, we start fixating on figuring out God’s will. Part of that comes from our desire to please God, and part of it arises from a desire to have the answers laid out for us. But it’s seldom as simple as we desire.

If you feel like youre merely on autopilot and floating through life right now, check out “4 Tips for When You Feel Directionless.” It will give you some easy steps to get you moving again.

C The Branches That Bear Fruit Are Pruned So That They Will Bear More Fruit And Much Fruit

4 Signs God Is Saying, âItâs Time to Pursue Your Passionâ?

Note the progression: In verse 2, the Father prunes the branches that bear fruit so that they will bear more fruit. In verse 5, the branches that abide in Christ bear much fruit. This points to the process involved in bearing fruit, which takes time. At first, you will bear some fruit. But as time goes on, you should bear more fruit. Finally, the vinedresser wants you to bear much fruit.

To accomplish this, Jesus cleans you with His word and the vinedresser prunes you. Jesus says , You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Clean is the noun in Greek related to the verb prunes in verse 2. As I understand it, Jesus is saying that the word He has spoken to them has already cleaned them in the sense of salvation. Their sins are forgiven. Its comparable to the bath in John 13:10, which cleansed them all over. But the Father further cleans them repeatedly, so that they will become more fruitful. This is comparable to the repeated foot washing that is necessary to walk in fellowship with the Lord. The pruning is the essential discipline that all true children of God must experience if they are to grow the peaceful fruit of righteousness .

But theres one other key concept in these verses that shows our responsibility if we want to bear fruit:

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God that no one transgress and wrong his brother in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we told you beforehand and solemnly warned you. Finding Your Purpose In God And A Future Full Of Opportunities

There is a lot of confusion in the Christian domain, I mean in our world today. So many so-called Christians are trying to be cleverer, than the word of God, maybe because they dont understand it. They call evil good and good evil. They are replacing darkness for light and bitter for sweet.

Jesus paid the ultimate price to redeem us through his body and death on the cross.

Religion is the mindset that is making so many Christian believers look wise in their own eyes. But the truth is, if you are seeking Gods purpose through your senses, you are following the wrong path. Instead, if you want to be free, and express your full potential in life, then you must receive Gods plan and promise for your life, through faith.

Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Don’t Miss: What The Bible Says About Loneliness

The Bible Was Written To Inform Its Readers About Gods Nature

There are so many aspects to Gods nature. His character is complex and difficult to understand, but by diving into the Bible, we begin to discover who he is. Stories preserved from the past show us the different aspects of Gods nature.

There are times God becomes angry, like when he sent a flood to wipe out the corrupt people on Earth. In Genesis 6:11-13. Moses writes Now the earth was corrupt in Gods sight and was full of violence. God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. So God said to Noah, I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth.

At the same time, God is compassionate and fair. Because Noah and his family honored God, they were preserved. God told Noah to build an ark to protect his family from the flood. Genesis 7:1 goes on to say The Lord then said to Noah, Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation.

God is faithful, documented in the book of Exodus when he equips Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt and into the Promised Land. At the same time, God is just, shown when he doesnt allow Moses to enter the Land of Canaan because he turned from God during his 40 years in the wilderness.

Lesson #: You Were Created To Live Life With Purpose

God created you for a purpose. When he considered the world, his sovereignty saw a place for you to not only thrive but make an impact. He knew the generation you would be born into would need your thoughts, words, and creativity. These scriptures on purpose remind us that we were made with a purpose in mind.

  • The Lord of hosts has sworn: As I have planned, so shall it be, and as I have purposed, so shall it stand, Isaiah 14:24
  • For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

Christians can take courage that He is working everything for our good even the most difficult life situations.

What Is The Real Purpose Of Life

Purpose is found in the Old testament 56 times and in the new testament 12 times according to Strongs concordance. In the old testament its mainly seen as the Hebrew root word machashabah which means thought, purpose, plan, or invention. Purpose in the New Testament is translated as the Greek word prothesis which is defined as intention exposed before God.

Both of these definitions bring to mind the idea that purpose, specifically speaking about why you were created, was an intention set before God created you, by God. Youre God given purpose is the actualization of this intention. But what exactly does this mean for purpose in life?

Well, finding Gods purpose for your life is quite simple, we just have to look at a few bible verses about living life with purpose. In understanding what the word says we can more accurately get to the point of life. A brief overview of the word of God basically goes like this:

God creates man to fellowship with him. Man falls. God designs and executes a centuries long plan to reconcile humanity back to Him. This plan is finalized with the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Anyone who believes in Jesus and gives their life to him, finds salvation, reconciliation, and ever-lasting life. After this acceptance of this beautiful free gift of life, we should endeavor to share this good news with others.
