I am the good shepherd. I know My own and My own know Me.

A shepherd guides and looks after the sheep in his care. Jesus, the Son of God, is the Good Shepherd, and His followers are His sheep. There is only one God of the Universe who made you, knows what you need and calls you His own.

Jesus is a good shepherd. Hes 100 percent trustworthy. He always knows whats best for you, even if its not easy. To follow Him, you need to know Him and listen for Him. As you get to know Him through prayer, reading the Bible and being in community with other followers of Jesus, you will be able to distinguish His good voice from other voices.

Bible Verses About Giving

2 Corinthians 9:7 Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

1 Corinthians 13:3 If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Luke 6:32-35If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full. But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.

Proverbs 3:27 Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it.

Proverbs 22:9 The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor.

Matthew 6:2-5So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Back & Extend Forgiveness

What does the Bible say about trust?

If a person in your life is toxic to your mental, spiritual, or physical health, often the wisest decision is to put some distance between you and them. If the abuse is physical and/or you live with the person, you must seek help from trusted friends or family members right away for your own safety.

In Galatians 4:7-10, the Apostle Paul admonishes the church for listening to someone who was spreading lies and shaking people’s faith in God. He spoke pretty harshly upon the troublesome person too . Paul goes on to say that love is the better option, but that distance may be necessary for “if you bite and devour one another,” you may end up hurting each other a lot worse .

Being angry and frustrated by a situation, relationship, or person is OK and perfectly healthy that’s our mind’s way of alerting us to the fact that something is very wrong. If you’re in a toxic environment, you do not need to “get used to it” or “just get over it.” It is OK to distance yourselfeven if you’re still mad.

The key to making this distance work is to avoid indulging in your anger or bitternessfor both your sakes. In distancing yourself from the toxic relationship / person, you create space for empathy and forgiveness. When you forgive someone, you are not only offering them the gift of forgiveness, you are setting yourself free from holding onto a grudge. You exchange a heart of bitterness and anger for one focused on God’s love. That said…

Act On Your Trust In God

As you begin to trust in Him, start to act on that trust. Don’t hide and avoid things, do the things that represent that you have the God of all the universe as your Father and that you trust in Him. Trust Him to lead you, catch you when you fall, heal you, establish you, and even raise you from the dead by His Spirit.

Finally, I must conclude by saying that this is a very personal decision. No one can trust in God for you. It is something that each person must decide that they want to do in their lifetime. Remember trusting in someone means you are not trusting in your merit, but the merit of the one you are trusting in. Don’t look to yourself or to others. Look to Him that made you, has a plan for you, and wants to live with you forever and who also has the power to make all that happen.

I want to end simply by reciting the chorus to one of my favorite hymns.

Trust and obey for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

Look To The Promise Of Heaven

The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Paul was the author of this verse. In this letter, this follower of Jesus was telling his young apprentice about one of the numerous hardships that he was going through. But Paul knew no matter what torture, imprisonment or harassment he might face, the Lord was on his side. The Lord would help him face every circumstance.

Paul put his trust in God when the world let him down. He knew that in difficulty he could look to the promise of heaven because he trusted in Jesus. He did not have to get worried because of the difficult things he went through. Neither do you. God cares about how you have been wronged. He will take care of you in those times. Do not let them distract you. Keep your eyes on Him.

Bible Verses About Trusting Others: Important Scriptures

There is a reason we must not trust in man, but God.

When we place our trust in man, we limit the power of God over our lives.

About three months ago, I got the shock of my life.

I had needed urgent financial help to start up a massive project for my company.

At first, I didnt know where to get the funds needed because I had just a few weeks.

I had informed my wife about my challenges, and we prayed together.

I quickly visited one of the banks in my vicinity to ask for a loan.

And thats when I understood firsthand why we must only trust in God.

As I spoke with the bank manager, he was initially skeptical that we could achieve anything in a short time.

Then in a few days, I got a message from him that my loan has been approved.

He spoke with so much confidence that there was no reason not to believe him.

But surprisingly, for days, there was no response from him.

He stopped picking my calls and didnt know how to inform me that the loan was canceled.

Despite my disappointment, I knew I must continue trusting in the Most-High God.

I prayed together with my wife and believed that a miracle is on the way.

And as always, God intervened and provided supernatural interest-free funds for my project.

The truth is, as Christians, we must trust in God alone.

There are many scriptures about trusting other people we can learn from.

Man cant save himself, let alone defending others.

I have put together bible verses about trusting others to inspire you.

What Are The Benefits Of Trusting God

What Does the Bible Say About Trusting God?

Verses 7-8 begins to tell us:

Blessed the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. 8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. Jeremiah 17:7-8 KJV

Notice, first of all, how connected having hope is to trust. Trust in the LORD allows us to hope in the LORD. No trust, no hope. This principle repeats in Romans 15:12-13

And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles in him shall the Gentiles trust. 13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Romans 15:12-13 KJV

Now certainly, this is in the context of Gentiles being grafted into the promises of Israel, and it clearly states that is made possible by the Gentiles trusting in Christ.

Verse 13 says NOW. Paul is saying, now that you are grafted in by trusting in the promised seed , may the God of all hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing , that you may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Ghost. Are you struggling to find hope? Examine your heart before God and see if there is an area that you are not trusting in Him with your life.

Keep Your Focus On God

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD Himself, is the Rock eternal.

To be steadfast is to be firm and unwavering. If you keep your mind steadfastly on the Lord, you can have peace in knowing He is in control. He is a steady rock. He does not change or falter. You can have peace in knowing you are cared for by a trustworthy God.

It’s More Than Not Trusting God

I don’t know about you, but that is a grievous thought to me, and it convicts me thinking about all the times I have trusted in something or someone else besides Him for my well-being, my hope, and my life. We do it unknowingly, or we think it is not that big of a deal, but we don’t understands that by doing so, we are leaving God. It is more than ‘not trusting’ it is departing from Him. You may say, ‘That sounds a bit extreme, surely God understands.’ But the Word says that we are departing.

It is not pleasing to God when we do not trust in the Lord it is a sin against Him. I don’t want to sin against God I don’t want to displease Him.

And we all must face the reality that when we don’t trust in God, we are departing from Him. This verb departing in verse 5 in the Hebrew is an imperfect tense, meaning that there is not necessarily a completed act, but one that simply is ongoing. By continuing to not trust in God, we are continually departing from Him further and further. The result is a heart that is slowly being hardened.

Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. 13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end Hebrews 3:12-14 KJV

A Prayer For Trusting God

Lord, I thank You that You are the God of the impossible. You can do anything. I want to trust in Your ability and not my own. Teach me to see difficulties in my life from Your perspective. Help me to focus on You and Your power. I want to be like Joshua and Caleb who believed in a good report and focused on You even in hard circumstances . My responsibility is to carefully read, trust, and obey Your Word. Today I bring before You this difficulty in my life . Help me not to fear but to trust You in this situation. I declare my faith in Your ability to fulfill Your promises to me. You will fight for me and win the battles in my life. You are mighty, powerful, righteous, and true. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Bible Verses About Trusting God

A few months ago, I shared 10 Bible Verses for Worry & Anxiety because Ive been going through an anxious season in my life. It helps me to share the verses that God has laid on my heart in hopes that he can use me to encourage someone else who might be struggling.

Im still walking through a difficult season, but things have improved and I really can see a light at the end of the tunnel at this point. Praise God!

One of the things that God has taught be through all this is that anxiety can only come when we arent trusting in Him. If we TRULY put all of our faith and trust in HIM who already has the victory, then what is there to worry or be anxious about??? I have to put my whole life in His hands and simply trust that he knows what is best.

I put together this list of 10 bible verses about trusting God not only to encourage myself, but also that others might be encouraged. I hope you enjoy the bible verses below and dont forget to .

Sometimes A Good Word Is A Hard Word

That is pretty straightforward and maybe even difficult to hear. But before I get going on unpacking this verse, let me say this:

We often just want to be encouraged in the Word to do the right things. But the older I get, the more I realize that only being encouraged in the right things doesn’t really move us to change. We often have to be shown the consequences and gravity of our decisions to incite action to change. Proverbs 16:6 says:

Proverbs 16:6 KJV

I want to help us understand the ‘negative’ aspect in these scriptures so that the Holy Spirit can help move us into the fear of the LORD. That way, we can depart from those things like not to trust God, which does not please him. In departing from sin, we draw nearer to Him instead of being indifferent in certain areas of our lives when it comes to trusting God.
