Reason No : Niv Denies Christ As The Creator
This might be a shock to many Christians, but Yahshua or Jesus Christ is the Creator of all things. Now, this is entirely a different topic that I wont discuss today, but you may simply check out these verses as they prove that Christ is the Creator: Colossians 1:16 John 1:1-3 and Hebrews 11:3.
Theres one particular verse that I want you to take a look at. Its found in Ephesians 3:9:
And to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things .
And to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ .
Did you see a big difference? NIV just denied Christs Creatorship!
This is a direct assault to Christs divine nature and His role as our Creator, Savior, and Messiah.
Now, if you are just using the NIV, how would you know this profound truth written in the pages of your Bible? Surely, NIV users are again eternally denied of this truth.

The New International Version or simply, the NIV, is currently the second most popular translation of the Bible. However, this does not mean that you have to follow this trend. Before you reach for the NIV Bible, I want to warn you of its silent molestation and corruption of the Bible!
Yes, you read that right. Molestation and corruption. Strong words. So, let me explain my point.
After reading this post and you still rely your salvation on this unholy Bible translation, then it is up to you to answer to God. I know this can be a big shock to many Christians and non-Christians alike, but the NIV Bible isnt what it claims to be.

The Conclusion Of The Matter
9 Not only was the Teacher wise, but he also imparted knowledge to the people. He pondered and searched out and set in order many proverbs.10 The Teacher searched to find just the right words, and what he wrote was upright and true.
11 The words of the wise are like goads, their collected sayings like firmly embedded nailsgiven by one shepherd.12 Be warned, my son, of anything in addition to them.
Of making many books there is no end, and much study wearies the body.

Reason No 1: Confusing Footnotes
If you are a new convert, how would you feel if the Bible you are reading has confusing footnotes? For example, in Acts 7:46, the footnote reads: Some early manuscripts read the house of Jacob. Thats the footnote for the word, the God of Jacob.
Now, thats a substantial difference. This is not the only footnote that can sow the seed of doubt in the heart of a new convert. With so many footnotes that contradict each other, do you think that it promotes confidence and faith in the Holy Scripture?
Being a Christian is hard enough, but adding the challenge of reconciling conflicting statements in the Bible makes the Christian race even TOUGHER!
Let me give you another example. Read Matthew 16:18, which reads, You are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church.
Obviously, the Rock here is Christ. He is the foundation of the Church. Peter means small rock or stone. Christ cant possibly build His Church on Peter. However, we read the footnote of NIV, Peter means rock. Without any explanation, it is implying that Peter is that rock which Christ will build His Church upon!
This is a disgraceful footnote used to support the claim of the Universal Church that they have the only right of the Christian faith.
Please read the footnotes of Mark 1:1, John 10:29, Acts 20:28, I Corinthians 16:24, John 7:8, Luke 23:34, John 10:9, Romans 9:5, and Mark 15:39. All these footnotes will surely send your mind swirling in doubt and confusion.

What Are The Difference Between Nkjv & Niv
Scriptural paleographers and textual critics serve as scholars who have committed their lives to comparing Bible manuscripts. As with any language translation, many differences exist and may not translate literally from one language to the next. Modern versions of the Bible tend to gravitate between one of two translation methods: formal equivalency, a more literal translation method, and dynamic equivalency, which tends to focus more on meaning than literal text. There are differences in every version of the Bible today. Comparing these different translations may prove especially helpful when reading or studying the Bible.

How Was It Translated
In order for the Bible to reach far and wide, there needed to be a partnership of denominations from within Christianity. This couldnt be just a protestant Bible, or just a Lutheran Bible, or the sole text of any other singular group within the wider Christian family. This Bible needed to speak to all believers. So a gathering of scholars from all manner of denominations was formed. They werent going to content themselves with adding updated language to an already-existing Bible. This was going to be a wholly new Bible. A Bible translated from as many of the original manuscripts as possible. This meant bringing in experts on Aramaic, Greek and Hebrew into the team, as well as Church leaders, theologians, linguists and other Bible scholars. All in all, over one-hundred experts worked over ten years to make the dream of a modern language Bible a reality.
As the foundation for the new version, the manuscripts used for the NIV included: The Dead Sea Scrolls , the Masoretic Hebrew Texts , the Samaritan Pentateuch , the Latin Vulgate , as well as a great many others. All of these manuscripts were thoroughly read, translated and brought into modern English. The translation process was long, thoughtful, and in-depth.

Why Does The Niv Bible Omit Or Have Missing Verses
The Committee on Bible Translation , the team of translators responsible for the New International Version Bible, is composed of world-class scholars and leaders in their respective fields. Their goal is to accurately translate the Word of God in a way that enables readers and listeners to hear the Bible as it was originally written, and understand the Bible as it was originally intended.
From the beginning, the translators have been committed to getting the words right. That means being true to the original Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic of the Bible while at the same time capturing the Bibles original meaning in natural, everyday English. Each NIV translator believes that the Bible is Gods inspired Word. That conviction, along with their years of studying biblical languages, has helped them capture the depth of meaning in the Bible in a way that is accurate, clear, and trustworthy.
In the years since 1611, many older manuscripts have been discovered and carefully evaluated by scholars. Their conclusion is that the older manuscripts are more reliable. This has given modern translators unprecedented access to manuscripts much closer in time to the original documents. Therefore, translations such as the NIV actually reflect better Bible scholarship than was available in 1611 when the KJV was published.

The Most Popular Bible Of The Year Is Probably Not What You Think It Is

Americans dont lack access to the Bible, but it remains a big business for publishers in the United States. In fact, 88 percent of Americans have a copy of the Bible in their homes, according to a 2015 report from the Barna Group. Most homes have more than one copy, and nearly a quarter of people have more than five. Nevertheless, 13 percent of Americans said they bought Bibles within the past year.
So why do Americans seem to have an insatiable appetite for Christian scripture?
A new study Bible out this week underscores how simmering questions about the accuracy and authority of translations drive demand for new versions of an old text. A mix of firm authority and breezy accessibility seems to be key to the commercial success of many study Bibles.
No official sales projections are publicly available, but if history provides a guide, the NIV Zondervan Study Bible could easily sell 100,000 copies by the end of the year probably a lot more. The new study Bible by Zondervan, a Christian publishing house in Grand Rapids, Mich., owned by HarperCollins, could follow earlier blockbuster sales. The last NIV study Bible, published by Zondervan in 1985, sold more than 9 million copies.
One of the Bibles most popular translations is the NIV and newer versions, like the ESV also sell remarkably well.

Why I Left The Niv For The Esv
I preach and teach from the ESV translation of the Bible every week. For those who are used to a different translation, it might be helpful to hear the reasoning behind my decision here. Furthermore, next week our church will consider whether or not to replace our current NIV pew Bibles with new ESV Bibles to match the version I preach from.
I grew up on the NIV. From as early as I can remember it was my native language so to speak. I continued to read the NIV daily, as well as teach from it, until around 2010. The change was hard for me because at that point I was 24 years old. I had already begun to internalize the NIV language by osmosis. If you read anything enough times it becomes ingrained into your brain. Even today, when I do a search for a phrase that I know is in the Bible, Im sometimes searching for NIV phrases and word-order. Switching to the ESV was not an easy task.
So whats the big deal? The TNIV and the 2011 NIV have both made changes to certain passages that suggest a feminist or progressive interpretation. The changes were significant enough that the conservative group The Council of Biblical Manhood and Womanhood refused to recommend the NIV as a trustworthy Bible translation. This is a widely known conservative group whom I have consistently trusted on matters of biblical interpretation and gender issues. Those changes were also significant enough to send many preachers and Bible teachers, like myself, to another translation.
Reason No : Meaning Of The Verse Changed
If you change a word in a verse, it will affect the entire message or meaning of the verse. Notice how the NIV undermined the eternal existence of Yahshua or Jesus in Micah 5:2:
Heres what the NIV mentioned:
But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah,out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.
Compare this with what the NKJV mentioned:
But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to Me the One to be Ruler in Israel, whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting.
Theres a huge difference between everlasting and ancient times.
One of the greatest proofs of Christs divinity is His eternal existence. If you are to prove this, you can always go to Micah 5:2. However, if you are going to use the NIV, you will be disappointed to see that Christ is only mentioned to exist from ancient times!
From everlasting denotes Christs eternal existence.
Ancient times is only saying that Christ is very old or He has a beginning!

Completion Of The New International Version
The New Testament NIV was completed and published in 1973, after which the Committee once again carefully reviewed suggestions for revisions. Many of these changes were adopted and incorporated into the first printing of the complete Bible in 1978. Further changes were made in 1984 and in 2011.
The original idea was to continue the work of translation so that the NIV would always reflect the very best of biblical scholarship and contemporary English. The Committee meets yearly to review and consider changes.
Reason No : Niv Deleted Christs Teachings
The murder of NIV of Christs words didnt stop. It also went on as far as changing and deleting the teachings of our Lord and Master.
Consider Matthew 5:44:
NIV But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
NKJV But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
In the NIV, we can only read a portion of Christs instruction on how to love our enemies. However, the NKJV version goes on to say to bless those who curse us, do good to those who hate us, and pray for those who SPITEFULLY use you. If you study the Bible and use the NIV, Im sure you will not have the same idea how to love your enemies compared to those who read the NKJV.
How about Mark 11:26? Lets see the difference.
NIV MISSING.
NKJVBut if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.
Now, this is a HUGE difference that you cant ignore!
Jesus Christ taught that God the Father can forgive us of our sins, but there is one reason that He might not forgive us and that is written in Mark 11:26!
Lets consider another verse found in Mark 6:11:
