I What About The Unpardonable Sin Of Blasphemy Against The Holy Spirit

What is the Salvation Jesus taught? | What Does it Mean to be Saved?| The Bible and ACIM

I tell you the truth, all the sins and blasphemies of men will be forgiven them. But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven he is guilty of an eternal sin.

The nature of this sin has been the subject of much debate. In context, Jesus was referring to the sin of the teachers of the law ” rel=”nofollow”> Mark 3:22-30) who said Jesus was possessed by demons and had an evil spirit. The total spiritual blindness of those who mistook the work of Jesus for the work of Satan put them beyond hope of repentance, faith and forgiveness.

Many people worry about committing the unpardonable sin accidentally or in a moment of weakness, but most Bible experts say there is no need for such worry. It is not that any sin is beyond the power of God’s grace. The sin of the teachers of the law was not forgiven because their own stubborn perversion of the truth and hardness of heart prevented them from repenting. Those people who are concerned enough to worry about their sins are not in danger of committing an unpardonable sin.

From everyone to whom much has been given, much will be required and from the one to whom much has been entrusted, even more will be demanded.

What Does The Bible Say About Being Set Apart

When it comes to being set apart for God, know that it cannot be done by our own efforts. You must be saved. You must repent of your sins and trust in Christ alone for salvation. God desires perfection. Jesus died on the cross and became that perfection on our behalf.

He satisfied the wrath of God. We must have a change of mind about who Jesus is and what was done for us. This will lead to a change of lifestyle.

The sanctification process is when God works in His childrens life to make them more like Christ until the end. Christians are a new creation through Christ, our old life is gone.

We cant go back to when we used to live in sexual sin, drunkenness, wild parties, and anything that goes against the Bible. We dont live for man, we live to do Gods will.

Being set apart from the world doesnt mean we cant have fun, but we are not to indulge in the sinful activities of this world. Christians are not to go clubbing.

We are not to indulge in things that are contrary to the Word of God, like the fake Christians of this world who live like unbelievers.

The world likes to smoke weed, we shouldnt like to smoke weed. Weed and God do not mix. The world is infatuated with materialism while others are in need. We dont live like this. Christians dont live in sin and things the Bible doesnt condone.

Not only should we set ourselves apart by our lifestyle, but we should set ourselves apart by getting away to be alone with God in prayer.

The Bible Clearly Tells Us How To Be Saved

As you read, I think you will be surprised to see just how wrong the religious world can be, and sadly how many truly dont know Jesus and are teaching and preaching error. The Bible warns about another Jesus and false teachers .

In his warning, Jesus even goes as far as calling them ravenous wolves, and tells us that we will be able to know them by their fruit .

Furthermore, Jesus said that the path to eternal life is narrow, and very few would actually find it . Jesus also said that on the very last day of this earth, when everything is destroyed, when he returns to judge the world righteously, and to take his followers with him for eternity there will be MANY who have believed they were following him and heartbreakingly will be told to depart into everlasting fire because they did evil and never knew him . They did not obey him and keep his commandments.

I would have been one of those people. So I write this to for a couple of reasons. Because 1) God loves you and wants for you to spend eternity with him. He gave you his word so that you could come to know him, and know how to be saved. 2) I love your soul, and I want for you to be saved too.

So, what does the Bible actually say about how to be saved? Lets dive in!

You Must Be Baptized For Salvation

Pin on Religious

He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.- Mark 16:16

The first step in denying self is to bury self in the waters of baptism. Baptism is necessary in order to be saved for many reasons:

How Do We Receive Salvation

When I bought an engagement ring for my wife, it did not make us engaged. I still had to pop the question and she still had to receive my gift. In the same way Christ has done what is necessary for us to be saved, but that gift is not appropriated apart from faith. This is what the Bible teaches in Ephesians 2. We are dead in our trespasses and sin, and God makes us alive. When our eyes are opened to the beauty of the gospel and the accomplishment of Christ our only fitting response is to respond in repentance and belief.Repentance and belief are really two sides of the same coin. Repentance means that we are changing our mind about God and about ourselves. We are laying down our own foolish efforts to save ourselves. We are turning away from self-sufficiency. At the same time we are turning towards Christ. We trust that He alone is the one who can save us. We are entrusting ourselves to him. This is why the Bible says it is . Faith is simply that which links us to Christ. Its that which reaches out and grabs ahold of the work of Christ. And, as it has often been said, a weak faith is able to lay ahold of a strong Christ. The most important aspect of our repentance and faith is not its own veracity. The most important aspect of our repentance and faith is its object. When we place our faith and trust in Christ the Bible says we are saved. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved, Joel 2:32 .

D We Must Be Truly Committed

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Jesus asks for total commitment ” rel=”nofollow”> Luke 6:46-49, ) and warns that the road to salvation will not always be easy ” rel=”nofollow”> Matthew 10:22, ).

C Salvation Is By The Grace Of God Through The Sacrifice Of Christ

For even I, the Son of Man, came here not to be served but to serve others, and to give my life as a ransom for many.”

It seems strange to us today, but the concept of sacrifice for atonement was very familiar in Jesus’ time. Lambs and other animals were routinely sacrificed in the Jewish temple to atone for sin. God accepted the death of the sacrificial animal as a substitute for the death that the sinner actually deserved. Against that background, we can understand that Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice to redeem us from the penalty for the sins we have all committed. Through Jesus’ death on the cross, we are freed from the deadly grip of sin. Although we do not fully understand the how or why of Jesus’ sacrificial death, it offers us a chance for salvation, and that is the central belief and hope of Christianity.

However, salvation is not a gift given to all ” rel=”nofollow”> Matthew 7:13-14, ) the Bible lists many requirements for salvation. Matthew, Mark and Luke emphasize high moral standards, love for one another, and commitment. We can never measure up to God’s standards, but we must put forth our very best effort, and when we fail, we must repent and resolve to do better. The Letters of Paul also emphasize moral uprightness. Paul also says we can be justified only by putting our faith in Christ, not by observing the Old Testament Laws. The Gospel of John emphasizes the importance of believing in Jesus Christ and putting our trust in Him.

Convicting Work Of The Holy Spirit

What does the Bible say about baptism?

True faith in Christ is preceded by the work of the Spirit as Jesus Himself described in John 16:7-11:

But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment: in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.

Judgment is also defined as referring to the fact that sin was judged when Christ died on the cross, and Satan was condemned and now awaits the execution of Gods judgment. Obviously, many who are saved do not completely understand this doctrine, but, nevertheless, under compulsion of the Holy Spirit, turn to Christ in faith in order to be saved. The three aspects of the Spirits convicting the unsaved are that a person seeking salvation must understand the nature of sin in contrast to the righteousness of God, that God provides a righteousness which is by faith and is not earned or deserved, and that God has judged sin in Christ on the cross, including the condemnation of Satan. As we enter into salvation through faith in Christ, Christ becomes our sin-bearer. As John the Baptist expressed it, Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! .

What Doesnt Save You

Water baptism Baptism is an act of obedience. It is important, but it is a public declaration of your faith in Christ. It is a symbol of dying with Christ and being resurrected with Christ unto newness of life. After we are saved we should get baptized, but baptism does not save. You wont lose your salvation if you dont get baptized, but a believer should desire to be baptized after putting their faith in Christ.

Going to church Going to church doesnt make you Christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car. I believe many people walk into church and they dont think about God once. Idolatry abounds on Sundays. Many are worshiping a god in their imagination that lets them live like the devil. I had a guy once tell me that God is OK with him being a homosexual. No! The god you made up is OK with it.

Even though going to church doesnt save you, we should not forsake church. It is essential for your walk of faith that you regularly attend a biblical church.

Obeying God Obedience is evidence of repentance, but it does not save you. Works do not save us. We cant maintain our salvation by our obedience. God desires perfection. We must trust in the perfect obedience of Christ on our behalf.

How To Be Saved According To The Bible

Are you wondering how to be saved, or questioning How do I go to heaven? The answers are clearly found within Gods Word. Sadly, many today arent teaching the full truth of what the Bible actually says. God loves you and wants you to be saved, more than you can ever know! 1 Timothy 2:4 says that God desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

For several years Ive wanted to publish a blog post outlining how to be saved according to Gods word. I wanted a clear, concise bible study in one simple place. Sadly, most of the top search results for how to be saved are filled with false teachings, and not outlining the full truth of what the Bible actually says about salvation.

As Christians, our aim is to take the word of God seriously and follow it as closely as possible especially regarding how to be saved. The purpose of this post is to help people who are new to Christianity, or just want to learn more about Gods plan of salvation and what the bible actually says about it.

Recently, God placed a wonderful soul named Megan Marchesano in my path. She is an absolute inspiration, and her words on how to be saved could not be more clear or Scripture-filled. She has graciously allowed me to share this wisdom with you, and I pray you are blessed by it.

A Love God Love Your Neighbor

Being a Christian doesnt mean I wont fall. It means Jesus will catch ...

One day an expert in religious law stood up to test Jesus by asking him this question: “Teacher, what must I do to receive eternal life?” Jesus replied, “What does the law of Moses say? How do you read it?” The man answered, ” ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ “”Right!”Jesus told him. “Do this and you will live!”
