What Does The Bible Say About Position

Today I Would Like To Sharefive Things That You Could Do To Position Yourself To Hear From God

What the Bible Says About Your Job
  • Spend time in His Presence. In 1 Kings 19, Elijah had to Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, when the Lord passed by. Once the Lord was there in the silence, Elijah went out and heard His voice. Spending time in His presence involves 1)reading and studying the word of God 2) praying i.e. talking and listening to Him. and 3) being in church among other believers who also enjoy His Presence. Dwight Moody said The difference between listening to a radio sermon and going to church is almost like the difference between calling your girl on the phone and spending an evening with her.
  • 2. Be sensitive to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. The voice of the Holy Spirit is that still small voice that brings conviction, confirmation and clarity. How can I be sure? you may ask. I have found that when I am not sure if I am hearing His voice, I be obedient anyway. I find that with time, He will confirm that you heard from Him or not. AND then, from experience, you will know what He sounds like, or not. But, if you never test it, how will you know what He does sound like.

So, as the Holy Spirit says:

Today, if you hear his voice,do not harden your heartsas you did in the rebellion, during the time of testing in the wilderness,

Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?But we have the mind of Christ.

    How Can Christians Help

    1. Pay Attention and Ask Hard Questions.

Christians are not to make judgments about others destiny. That is Gods prerogative, delegated to Jesus . But Christians who want to reach out to people who may be contemplating suicide should become aware of signs someone is thinking about suicide.

The National Suicide Prevention Lifelinesays there are three major signs of immediate suicide risk.

    • A person talks about wanting to die or kill oneself.
    • A person is looking for a way to kill oneself, such as searching online for information about suicide, or obtaining a gun.
    • A person talks about feeling hopeless or having no reason to live.

Also, be alert to new or increased behaviors that may relate to a loss, sudden change, or painful event. David Murray at HeadHeartHand says:

Although its counter-intuitive, the most important thing to do is to ask the person if they are thinking about taking their life. Do so in a non-threatening, non-confrontational way, to make it as easy as possible to speak openly about their thoughts and feelings.

This may encourage a suicidal person to admit their need and seek professional help.

    2. Listen to Those in Grief and Weep with Those Who Weep .

For Those Who Have Had An Abortion

Perhaps you have a friend who has had an abortion or perhaps you have. I dont know your story I dont know your circumstances, but I do know this: Jesus isnt shocked by abortion. He knows everything about you, and he wants to take the crushing shame and insurmountable pain off your shoulders. He wants to wash you in grace and set you free.

When Jesus receives you, you are united with him. He goes to God on your behalf. And do you know what our mighty, Father God says? You have been crucified with Christ youve already been through judgment you are now hidden in Jesus. You are my child in whom I am well pleased. You are fully known and loved by God.

And the beautiful part? Your child is waiting for you. He or she is with Jesus and when she asks when she will get to see you, Jesus simply replies, Tomorrow, because one day in his courts is 1,000 years on this earth.

If you have an abortion, find a friend that you can trust and open up about your story. Look for a biblical counselor in your area as well and join an abortion recovery group if there is one in your area. You do not have to live with pain and guilt. God can use your story to set another woman free and perhaps save the life of a child too. Who the Son sets free is free indeed.

    A Heavenly Home Assured

Last, but most importantly of all, He has given us citizenship in heaven where we will be fellow heirs with the King of kings! We live as strangers and exiles on this earth, far from our true home to come. We are ambassadors of God in a country not our own. But our heavenly home is assured, and our inheritance is waiting, kept safe by God himself!

    • Heavenly Citizens: Philippians 3:20 Our citizenship is in heaven.

    • Members of Gods Household: Ephesians 2:19 You are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.

    • Have a Heavenly Inheritance: 1 Peter 1:4-5 … an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by Gods power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

One last thought: From the simplicity of a flower to the complexity of space, the more humankind explores the work of God, the more we stand in awe of His perfection. With such a creative and all-powerful God, do you think He would complete anything less than perfection in the important work of our salvation?

    Things God Says About Work

Job Chapter 41 Summary and What God Wants From Us

Jesus has taken the âthorns and thistlesâ we work among , and he wore a crown of thorns on his head as a reminder that he is indeed the âKing of kings and Lord of lordsâ .

The crown of thorns the Roman soldiers placed on Jesusâ head with the intent of mocking him, turned out to be a picture of Jesusâ rule and reign as the one true King.

As our Lord Jesus works to redeem all things, he has redeemed your life through faith in him. He has delivered you from the penalty and power of sin, and through the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit, you are empowered to redeem your work for the glory of God and the good of others.

In the words of Stephen Nichols, âChrist through his redemptive work undone what Adam did in the fall. And he restores to us the ability and the capacity to be image bearers as God intended us to be.â

In redeeming your work, here are three ways you will find God at work in you and through you in bible verses about work.

A Divine Shift Of God: Are You In Position

A divine shift is a supernatural move from one place to another a slight change in position or direction the supernatural act of putting one thing in the place of another or changing the place of a person or thing.

A divine shift will cause a supernatural advancement and/or upgrade in your spiritual, mental, emotional, physical, financial, career, character and conduct status.

In Deuteronomy 2:2, Moses stated that the LORD spoke to him and said, You have skirted this mountain long enough turn northward. In other words, God had watched them in the wilderness moving along or around the border of the promise, and he was getting ready to have them turn northward to go and inherit the promise, which was Canaan.

According to an article by Angel Manuel Rodriguez, “The Symbolism of the Four Cardinal Directions,” It has been suggested that the north is a symbol of the permanent or the eternal, perhaps because the polar stars were permanently visible in the sky. It is the place of Gods celestial dwelling and from which His glory descends with blessings or judgments . He is the true King of the North.

During this divine shift, God told Moses that they needed to turn northward to complete their 40-year journey to fulfill his purpose and plan that he had for the children of Israel.

Despite their sinning, disobedience, murmuring and complaining, Gods mercy and grace allowed them to inherit the promise they were about to walk into their wealthy place.

The Power Of Position: Rising Above The

Something in us craves an alternative to our very inadequate resources. We’re frustrated by our limitations, and we hunger for supernatural help. The people in and around Ephesus were also seekers of the supernatural. They had an array of incantations, spells, amulets, and other techniques for harnessing divine power.

    What The Bible Says

Scripture gives us many stories illustrating a Christ-like response to apparent unjust leadership. In the book of Daniel, the prophet deals with three pagan administrators who unfairly rise to prominence by his good work. Or in Luke 18, the parable of the Unjust Judge illustrates Gods sovereign care for us and His promise that justice will be done.

In Psalm 73, Asaph felt looked over and frustrated, writing: I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. They have no struggles their bodies are healthy and strong. They are free from common human burdens they are not plagued by human illsThis is what the wicked are like always free of care, they go on amassing wealth. Surely in vain I have kept my heart pure and have washed my hands in innocence. All day long I have been afflicted, and every morning brings new punishments.

Asaph had, in his own words, a bitter attitude from watching the wrong people get ahead.

Gallup would agree with Asaph, finding that companies choose the wrong manager 82 percent of the time! As a result of the struggle to deal with incompetent, distant, or even unkind leaders, billions of dollars are lost and only one-third of employees report feeling engaged in their workplace leaving the rest wondering when will the day end.

Is Abortion Wrong If The Life Of The Mother Or The Child Is In Danger

In view of what the Bible says about the life of an unborn child, a person would not be justified in having an abortion because of a potential health risk to mother or child.

What about the rare situation where at the time of childbirth an emergency forces the choice between saving the life of the mother or saving the baby? In such a case, those involved would have to make a personal decision about which life to try to save.

^ par. 3 Some translations make it appear that in this law to Israel, the crucial matter was what happened to the mother, not to the fetus. The Hebrew text, however, refers to a fatal accident to either mother or child.

^ par. 8 Jehovah is Gods name as revealed in the Bible.Psalm 83:18.
