What the Bible Says about Women’s Physical Strength

If I were looking for the primary biblical texts, I think I would be looking at Proverbs 31, Titus 2:5, and Ephesians 5:22-33. Lets start with the toughest one – Titus 2:5.

NIV Titus 2:5 to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.

NAS Titus 2:5 to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be dishonored.

NAU Titus 2:5 to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored.

NKJ Titus 2:5 to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.

This particular Greek word is used only here in the New Testament, so we have no other clues to its meaning or use in the Bible. I think we get a clue to what Paul means by looking at his words to young widows in 1 Timothy 5:13:

NKJ 1 Timothy 5:13 And besides they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house, and not only idle but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not.

Working at home would at least include the sense of staying home and doing your work there, as opposed to going around from house to house, gossiping and wasting time.

Finally, I think that this is a matter of conscience and conviction, and I fear that there may be some judging here that needs to be considered. These are not easy matters.

Bible Verses About Being A Woman Of God

Now that weve looked at Bible verses about a woman of good character and her heart, how should that affect our lives?;

Our heart, filled with the gospel of Jesus, allows us to be women of God. These Bible verses about being a woman of God show us what that looks like in daily life.

14. Let love be genuine.;Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.;Love one another with brotherly affection.;Outdo one another in showing honor.;Do not be slothful in zeal,;be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.;Rejoice in hope,;be patient in tribulation,;be constant in prayer.;Contribute to the needs of the saints and;seek to show hospitality. Romans 12:9-12
  • It means believing that what God says will come to pass, just as Mary did when the angel told her she would conceive Jesus:

15. And;blessed is she who believed that there would be;a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.

Luke 1:45

  • It means being courteous towards others and slow to anger:
16. Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person;be quick to hear,;slow to speak,;slow to anger;for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. James 1:19-20
  • It means trusting in the Lord, even;when fear has crept into our hearts:
17. When I am afraid,;I;put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise,;in God I trust;;I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me? Psalm 56:3-4

Women In The New Testament

Outside of the infancy narratives, Mary is mentioned infrequently after the beginning of Jesus’ public ministry. The Gospels say Mary is the one “of whom Jesus was born” and that she is the “favored one” . Some scholars believe the infancy narratives were interpolations by the early church. Bart Ehrman explains that Jesus is never mentioned by name in the Talmud, but there is a subtle attack on the virgin birth that refers to the illegitimate son of a Roman soldier named “Panthera.” .:6769

Mary is not introduced in the Gospels in a way that would make her seem noteworthy or deserving of special honor. She is young, resides in an insignificant town, far from the centers of power, with no special social position or status, yet she is the one granted the highest of all statuses, demonstrating the supreme reversal.:14 When she receives the announcement of Jesus’ birth, she asks “How can this be?” Then, “…let it be” .

In the Gospel of Luke, Mary visits Elizabeth, her cousin, twice, and twice Elizabeth calls her blessed . Mary herself states all future generations will call her blessed . Mary “ponders” Simeon‘s warning that “a sword would pierce her soul” in Luke 2:34,35. She is troubled by Jesus staying behind in the Temple at Jerusalem at 12 and his assumption his parents would know where he was . Mary “ponders all these things in her heart.”:16,17

Why Do People Call Covid

Evans said that lack of trust in the government and medical field is a driving force behind the mark of the beast belief.;

Donald Trump tapped into American populism, and with that comes the disbelief of experts, Evans told USA TODAY. There is a small group of people who believe in the mark of the beast, and I think whats driving that thought process is starting with various concerns about receiving the coronavirus vaccine that are not specifically religious.

Evans said he suspects that the;mark of the beast popularity stems from an adherence to a social or political identity.

Peter Feaman, a top Republican National Committee official in Florida, said last month that vaccines are;the mark of the beast and comparable to a false god.;In May, Feaman wrote on his blog of Gov. Gretchen Whitmer encouraging vaccines in Michigan:;Diabolical Michigan Governor Whiter wants her citizens to get the Mark of the Beast to participate in society.

According to Evans studies, the majority of mark of the beast believers appear to be politically conservative and from Protestant Christian;backgrounds.;

People with spiritual beliefs that all things are influenced by religion are more likely to believe mark of the beast, which is in every Christians Bible, but people will focus on particular passages in the Bible to support their belief system, Evans said.;

When Does Human Life Begin

What Does The Bible Say About Women

God views human life as beginning at conception. In his Word, the Bible, God consistently portrays an unborn child as a distinct person. Consider some examples indicating that God does not draw a distinction between the life of a baby in the womb and one that has been born.

  • Under divine inspiration, King;David said to God: Your eyes even saw me as an embryo. God considered David to be a person even before he was born.

  • Additionally, God knew that he would have a special purpose for the prophet Jeremiah before Jeremiahs birth. God said to him: Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I sanctified you. I made you a prophet to the nations.Jeremiah 1:5.

  • The Bible writer Luke, a physician, used the same Greek word to describe an unborn baby as he did to describe a newborn baby.Luke 1:41; 2:12, 16.

What Is A Woman’s Role In The Bible

A quick look around the world today, allows us to see women filling a variety of roles: mothers, daughters, wives, judges, teachers, missionaries, lawyers, corporate leaders, journalists, and more. In the Bible, we find variety in roles women fill as well.

We read about women like Deborah, who held the valued and highly respected position of judge in Israel. As a result of her decisions, the Israelites experienced peace for 40 years. We find brave ones like Rahab;who landed in the lineage of Jesus even though her checkered past might have caused many to cast her aside. Also included in the Bible are Hannah, a mother who offered her son for the sake of the Almighty, Anna, a prophetess and one of the first to see the Messiah, Mary, the young mother who carried the hope of the world in her womb, Rhoda, the servant who was first to see Peter after his miraculous release from prison, and Phoebe, a faithful servant in the church. All these women filled different yet important roles.

What Do Health Care Workers Say Do People Actually Cite This As A Reason To Avoid The Shot

Nicole Williams, a traveling intensive care unit;nurse, said she has heard the mark of the beast as a reason not to get vaccinated many times.;

I get being hesitant because it is new and we dont know the long-term effects, but calling it the;mark of the beast is crazy, Williams told USA TODAY.;

Williams has worked in hospitals in;Texas, New York, California and Hawaii in her three years as a nurse.

She said the latest surge of COVID-19 cases has been hell,;and a lot of younger people have died. She said vaccines are not a magical shot that cures all, but theyre one of many tools to fight the virus.

;I understand that people want to get back to how things were, but calling something you dont understand the mark of the beast is extreme and harmful, she said.;;Im exhausted and tired of seeing so many people die, but I will do my damnedest to try and keep my patients alive.

Emergency room;physician Stephen Smith at Hennepin Healthcare;told USA TODAY he hasnt heard the mark of the beast as a reason to not get vaccinated; but a few other outlandish reasons.

Smith said one woman brought her child in for a fever and cough, and he explained that the toddler might have COVID-19. When he asked the mother if she had been vaccinated, Smith said her response was;Oh no, that turns you into a zombie.;

Social media plays a 100% role in the misconceptions about the vaccine, Smith said. They get all their information off Facebook and get all this garbage.

Interpret Scripture With Scripture

Perhaps our problem is not what the Bible has to say about women. Maybe the bigger issue is our lack of knowledge and effort to understand when it comes to these sticky topics? Unfortunately, many have listened more to what others have to say about the Bible and women than they have listened to the Bible itself. When you come across something that causes you to scratch your head, be sure to view that fuzzy passage through the lens of what is abundantly clear in Scripture.

If The Church Persists In The Distinction Of The Role Relationships Of Men And Women Especially Pertaining To The Pastoral Ministry Won’t This Have A Negative Effect Before The Watching World

What the Bible says about Women preachers or pastors NEW

The truth is that much of what the church stands for, teaches, and proposes runs contramundum that is, “against the world.” Is it not true that the Church’s teaching on human sexuality, the family, and, of course, the Person of Christ, is increasingly at odds with the postmodern and post-Christian society? Then again, if the Church advances this position or any other position based on anything other than Scripture, she will be completely defenseless against rhetorical attack. Indeed, the Church without biblical doctrine is in danger of collapsing. Therefore, those men who boorishly employ this Scripture as a weapon to keep female parishioners from exercising their gifts are wrong . They will be seen for what they are by the world and, ultimately, by the Church.

On the other hand, whether it is the ordination of women and we must remember that, again, there are those within the body of Christ who love the Lord, love his Word, and have arrived at a different position or whether it is human sexuality or any of the other issues we face it, if we alter, add to or take away from the Word of God we will not only fail in our attempt to impress the world with our magnanimity, but more importantly, we will incur the wrath of God.

Can Women Take The Lead In Corporate Worship Services

We believe it is desirable for men to take the lead in public worship. This pictures the divinely instituted order . There are not many examples of women leading in worship in Scripture : Exod. 15:20, 21; Judges 5; Ps. 68:11; Luke 2:36-38; Acts 21:9; 1 Cor. 11:5; 14:26, 34; Eph. 5:19; Col. 3:16. We encourage women to participate in worship services as long as they are not usurping authority or behaving in a domineering manner. We also see no violation of Scripture to have a woman planning the order of worship as long as she is submissive to male leadership and doesnt plan anything that violates the biblical emphasis.

Since our worship style requires some musical ability, if there is no man with such ability to provide leadership, we recommend finding a man who can at least lead in vocals and give verbal direction to the overall process, even if he cant play the instruments. This models male leadership, which seems to be clearly the biblical picture.

Color In A Coloring Book

One of the simplest activities can have a profound effect on mental health and well-being. To reduce stress or anxiety, try coloring in a coloring book. You don’t have to be a child to gain other benefits such as improved sleep, vision, and focus. Adult coloring books and crayons are inexpensive, or use a kid’s coloring book if you’d like. The point is to forget about life stresses and focus on something simple.

What Is A God Fearing Woman

In Proverbs 31, the author King Lemuel writes that above all, a woman of good character is a God fearing woman .

A God fearing woman is a woman who understand Gods holiness and righteousness.

She knows who God is and more importantly, that she falls short of the perfect standard. Tainted by sin and neither holy nor righteous, she knows that she needs Jesus in order to dwell and abide with God.;

She attributes reverence and honor to God and knows in her heart that only because of;Gods grace and love;can she enter the family of God. Her fear of the Lord manifests as reverence and respect for God. Because of that, she lives a;life of gratitude;and wants to use her life to give God the glory He deserves.;

Bible Verses about a God Fearing Woman of Good Character

The importance of the fear of the Lord is repeated throughout scripture. In the first chapter of Proverbs, Solomon writes that the beginning of wisdom is fear of the Lord. He continues to drive that point home in Proverbs and the other books that he wrote. Its no surprise that Solomons father, David, also spoke often of fear of the Lord in Psalms.;

Here are few Bible verses that capture the essence of God fearing men and women.

3. Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the;Lord;is to be praised. Proverbs 31:30
4. The friendship;of the;Lord;is for those who fear him, and he makes known to them his covenant. Psalm 25:14

Abortion Can Be Forgiven

Scripture has revealed, abortions are murder. Yet, for women who have had abortions, please know there is forgiveness of murder through repentance, .

I want to provide you an example so you can be assured that murder is forgiven.

In 2 Samuel 11:14-17, we learn that King David sent Uriah to the front lines of an intense battle to ensure he would perish. David did this so he could have Uriahs wife, Bathsheba.

The prophet Nathan rebuked David for this great sin.

2 Samuel 12:9Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.

It is clear, David not only murdered a man, but he did it with the purpose to take Uriahs wife.

However, we know that David repented.

Psalms 51:1-3, 101 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

2;Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

3;For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

10;Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

David acknowledged his sin before God, and asked to be forgiven. Through Davids great sin comes a great example of how we are forgiven of such sins.
