We Can Celebrate All Life That God Chooses To Create
God is free to create however he likes. Just as we celebrate all life on Earth as Gods creation, so we can celebrate whatever alien life we might discover. We can be curious explorers, grounded in the knowledge of God as the loving Creator. Christians can encourage scientists in their study of the origin of life on Earth and the search for life on other worlds. We can encourage theologians to ponder the implications of such discoveries before they happen.
All truth is Gods truth, wherever it may be found. Lets explore Gods creation with curiosity, with humility to learn, and with care and respect for any life beyond Earth that we may meet.

How Should Christians Look At Mysteries Like Ufos And Aliens
While exploring mysteries like UFOs and aliens, Christians can learn valuable spiritual insights. Investigating those mysterious phenomena with both openness and wisdom can ultimately strengthen our faith.
In my book Wake Up to Wonder, I describe what I learned from participating in a UFO tour in Arizona. We wore night-vision goggles that expanded our range of vision. Not only could we see thousands of stars overhead, but we could even see the motion of gasses burning on those stars. A bright light flew over us through the sky the light grew significantly larger and brighter, and hovered over us as we gazed up at it. I couldnt help but wonder if we were encountering something from beyond Earth: an angel. Angels are light beings who carry out their God-given missions in heavenly and earthly planes of existence. UFOs in the form of mysterious lights could certainly be angels.
No matter what I had witnessed, that awe-inspiring experience opened my mind and heart more to the beauty of our vast universe. It motivated me to praise God. Psalm 19:1-2 declares: The heavens declare the glory of God the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech night after night they reveal knowledge.
We shouldnt be afraid, but neither should we be naïve. We can ask the Holy Spirit to give us the discernment we need to respond to celestial mysteries with both openness and wisdom.
What Exactly Are Aliens According To The Bible What Does The Bible Say About Aliens And Ufos
The Bible doesnt definitively say whether or not aliens whose homes are on other planets exist. Nor does the Bible answer the question of whether or not aliens from other planets if they do exist have ever visited Earth. The Bible leaves all of that a mystery, but it does leave the door open for such possibilities. Jesus declares that with God, all things are possible and many biblical passages speak about the vastness of the universe God has made.
However, the Bible does clearly describe a different type of aliens intelligent extraterrestrial life forms who travel between different dimensions. Those aliens are angels!
In Genesis 28:12, Jacob dreams of angels moving between heaven and earth: He had a dream in which he saw a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. What Jacobs dream shows is essentially interstellar travel. Jesus describes angels traveling in a similar way when he says in John 1:51: you will see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.
The Bible says that both holy and fallen angels are at work on our planet. UFO sightings and alien encounters could sometimes be non-angelic visitors from other planets and they could sometimes represent the work of either holy angels or fallen angels, depending on the context.

What Ufos And Aliens Can Show Us About God’s Wonder
Exploring the possibility of intelligent life outside our home planet can inspire us with awe for God. As Jesus says in Matthew 19:26, with God all things are possible. There is always more to discover about our all-powerful Creator from studying creation. Not only are there no limits to Gods power, but there are also no limits to Gods love. 1 John 4:16 tells us: And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. God could have created and redeemed extraterrestrials along with human life. Gods power and love extend throughout the entire universe and all who live within it.
So far, scientists have estimated that there are more than 1 trillion galaxies in the observable universe. We havent yet discovered if other forms of life exist. But we can be sure that God has created and sustains everything and everyone. Colossians 1:15-17 declares that Jesus rules the entire universe and all that is in it: The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him, all things hold together. Learning more about UFOS and aliens can motivate us to seek God, who is at the head of the whole universe.
Nevada Man Who Survived Ufo Abduction Says Aliens Asked Him About Jesus Christ
HENDERSON, Nv. A Nevada man who claims he was abducted by aliens from outer space last month says his extraterrestrial kidnappers attempted to convert him to Christianity while he was aboard their spacecraft.
Nigel Harshaw of Suffolk, England, who is in the United States on a temporary work visa, told Channel 13 Action News that on the evening of January 28, he was in his backyard assembling a grill when the incident occurred. I just remember I was standing there with an Allen wrench in my hand and then in what felt like an instant, I was someplace else, he recalled.
That someplace else, according to Nigel, was the inside of an unidentified flying object. The thirty-seven year-old IT consultant, who claims he spent nine hours aboard the spacecraft, says he was able to communicate with his alien captors. Their language and speech patterns were unlike anything Ive ever heard, he said, adding, Yet, somehow I was able to understand and interact with them.
According to Harshaws account, the human-like beings did not appear hostile. They asked me if Id heard the good news. I told them, I dont know that I have. They said, God loves you and He wants you to know and love Him. He offers you peace and joy and a fulfilled life. Nigel, who is an atheist, said he was too frightened to say so at the time and instead did his best to appear open to their message.

What Are Aliens & Where Are They From
There is one primary feature that distinguishes an alien lifeform from other lifeforms. It must be a biological entity that originated somewhere other than earth, hence the term extra terrestrial .
Two other features are usually highlighted in the research: intelligence and communication. In other words, ETs are usually not described as single-celled amoebas by those who claim contact with aliens, but can process information similar to or better than humans. Secondly, these aliens can communicate with us. Many claim aliens use telepathy unlike typical human language.
And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.
Opinions vary on the nature of aliens. Many accept the traditional explanation that aliens originated in another part of the galaxy. These beings have supposedly traveled many light years to arrive at earth.
However, many Christian researchers reject this idea. They opt for a more sinister explanation: that aliens are more spiritual in nature or demons with alien skin. One author gives 10 reasons why aliens are demons. His reasons include
- Aliens exhibit similar behavior to Biblical demons.
- Aliens explaining their origins change as time goes on and knowledge of the cosmos improves.
- Aliens often contact occultists and New Agers vs. Christians.

Angels Appearing As Humans
To round off this line of reasoning, there is interesting evidence in the Bible that angels can appear to take on human form. This happened several times in the Old Testament. Abraham meets three men, one of which is “the Lord”, and the other two are most likely angels who tell Abraham that his wife Sarah will have a son. Later, these two angels travel to meet Lot and tell him to get out of Sodom before it is destroyed . The other townspeople are so convinced the angels are men that they demand for Lot to bring them out so the townspeople can have sex with the angels . It is also told that Satan often appears as “an angel of light” . This may be metaphorical, but I believe when compared with the other two events above, that it may well be a physical manifestation also.
But Couldn’t God Make Aliens If He Wanted To
It is certainly possible that God could have made aliens. However, I find it highly unlikely. I don’t think there would be any problems if we discover microbes or even a species as intelligent as dolphins on another planet. I would celebrate God’s creativity at having created new life for us to discover and appreciate. However, I do not believe that God created any other beings with our level of intelligence and spirituality. This comes from the idea of original sin and free will in the book of Genesis. Any creature that God desires to have a spiritual relationship with is given free will. The angels had free will to choose God or Satan. Humans are also given the same choice. However – it was only Humanity’s decision which had an impact on the state of the universe.
For these reasons, I believe that God has only created one planet – Earth – with life capable of having a relationship with God. God has indeed made the universe and billions of galaxies and planets, but just the number alone does not guarantee there will be aliens. I believe that perhaps in the future after the Tribulation during the Millennium people will explore space, and during eternity afterwards we will have time and the ability to explore God’s vast and amazing creation.

Humanity is fascinated with the concept of extraterrestrial life. Many wonder if intelligent life residing somewhere else in the universe is busy watching us develop. We want to know who we are and if there is anything else out there that resembles us.
Interest in contact with aliens is not just the grist of science fiction but a real-life passion for many devoted to the search for other life forms. When a job transfer put me near Roswell, New Mexico, I soon learned of July 4, 1947, the date of an alleged crash landing of an alien ship a few miles northwest of the city. The next day’s newspaper reported that the commander of the nearby U.S. Army base confirmed that a “flying saucer” had indeed crashed into the desert the previous evening.
Rumors circulated that on board the craft had been aliens who had died in the crash. On the second day, however, the commander said the crash was simply a downed weather balloon.
Another report, released in June 1997, just days before the 50th-anniversary extravaganza staged by local residents, said that what some thought had been dead aliens were only test dummies.
What Does The Bible Say About Aliens
Every time that you see the actual word alien or alienated in Scripture, it is referring to foreigner or outcasts, not an extraterrestrial. The word alien appears in Isaiah 28:21, referring to a task. The word alienate or alienated shows up four times in Scripture.
Other than these references of the word alien, there is no mention of an actual alien in the entire Bible. As a believer, the Scriptures anchor me in every area and belief in life. Since God does not include information on aliens, it is hard to say that they exist. For example, one might argue that the Bible does not directly tell of dinosaurs, but we know they existed. Job 40:15-24 and Job 41 describe what can be interpreted as dinosaurs. This would make sense because the book of Job is actually after Genesis 12 in chronological order. Dinosaurs could have been destroyed in the flood.

I would question that if someone thought an alien was a demonic being, that maybe it is just a demonic being and not an alien at all.

What Does Science Say
Even within the solar system, there exists the possibility of some form of life. Europa, for example, one of Jupiters larger moons, is believed to be a geologically active world, due to the gravitational fields of Jupiter heating its interior. Its surface is covered by water ice, and scientists believe that beneath the surface, due to the heated interior of the moon, is a global ocean which may be over 100 km deep. Its plausible that the ocean floor contains hydrothermal vents and volcanos, features on Earth that enable the existence of life in the deepest depths of its oceans.
Enceladus, one of Saturns moons, is also ice covered with a subsurface ocean of salty liquid water. Scientists discovered enormous geysers near the moons south pole which spray out water into space. The water contains tiny grains of rocky silicate particles that provide strong evidence for the existence of hydrothermal vents, and possible conditions for life.
Another moon of Saturn which is of interest to scientists looking for life is Titan. Its weather system is methane-based, instead of water-based, and the moon contains rivers and lakes made of methane and ethane, as well as possible cryovolcanoes that erupt liquid water rather than lava. Its entirely possible that lifeforms exist on Titan, made up of different chemistry to lifeforms on Earth.
What Does The Bible Say About Intelligent Life On Other Planets
The question of UFO’s and intelligent life on other planets has become very popular. Many fashionable scientists speculate about the possibilities, insisting that we cannot be alone in the universe. Alien life is the subject of hit television shows and movies, and is also a common belief of many New Age religions. Many people have asked what the Bible has to say about this subject. The following article is an attempt to deal honestly and simply with this subject and to answer the question in an easily understood manner. It is not meant to be an exhaustive or comprehensive theological treatise.
The Scriptures do not directly address the question of alien beings. The Bible does not explicitly confirm or deny the existence of intelligent life from other planets. Although the subject is not addressed explicitly, the Bible teaches implicitly that the only things He created with intelligence are the angels, man, and the animals.
It is important to remember that the stars and planets were not created billions of years before Earth. According to the Bible, Earth is not the result of billions of years of stellar evolution during which many other planets were created. Earth was created before any other planet or star existed. Earth came into existence on the first day of Creation . God withheld the creation of the Sun, Moon and stars until the fourth day . Earth is unique and holds center stage in God’s Creation.
