The Book Of 1 Thessalonians Of Paul To The Thessalonians
The Book of 1 Thessalonians is Apostle Paul penned this epistle to the church in Thessalonica, an ancient city of Macedon in northern Greece. The church was primarily Greek and used to worship idols. Because of the misconception that Christs second coming will occur soon, the books primary topic is about what happens when people die, about their loved ones who have died, and about how Christ finally returns. Because of this misconception, the idleness of the followers became an issue these people tended to depend on the church. In conclusion, Paul reminded the congregation to rejoice, pray constantly, and remain loyal in the face of persecution.
Book Summary: Paul wrote the first letter to the Thessalonians to encourage Christians to continue building their faith. In several instances throughout this book, Paul motivates readers of the importance of spiritual growth with the hope of the ultimate return of Jesus Christ in his second coming.

Though Ezekiel lived with his fellow exiles in Babylon, his divine call forced him to suppress any natural expectations he may have had of an early return to an undamaged Jerusalem. For the first seven years of his ministry he faithfully relayed to his fellow Jews the stern, heart-rending, hope-crushing word of divine judgment: Because of all her sins, Jerusalem would fall . The fact that Israel was God’s covenant people and that Jerusalem was the city of his temple would not bring their early release from exile or prevent Jerusalem from being destroyed . The only hope the prophet was authorized to extend to his hearers was that of living at peace with themselves and with God during their exile.
After being informed by the Lord that Jerusalem was under siege and would surely fall , Ezekiel was told that his beloved wife would soon die. The delight of his eyes would be taken from him just as the temple, the delight of Israel’s eyes, would be taken from her. He was not to mourn openly for his wife, as a sign to his people not to mourn openly for Jerusalem . He was then directed to pronounce a series of judgments on the seven nations of Ammon, Moab, Edom, Philistia, Tyre, Sidon and Egypt . The day of God’s wrath was soon to come, but not on Israel alone.

The Gospel of Thomas was a forgery written in the third or fourth century AD. The Gospel of Thomas claims to have been written by the Apostle Thomas, but it wasnt.
The Early Church rejected the Gospel of Thomas as heretical as it contained many heretical teachings of things Jesus supposedly said and did.
None of it is true, though. For example, the Gospel of Thomas has Jesus saying in saying, Blessed is the lion that a person will eat, and the lion will become human and in saying, Every woman who makes herself male will enter into the kingdom of heaven.

The Old Testament is comprised of 39 books in the Protestant Bible. The Catholic Bible includes seven additional books within the Old Testament .
The Old Testament is largely an account of Gods dealings with Israel. The main narrative begins with Gods call to Abraham later Moses leads Israel in their Exodus to Egypt where they conquer the Promised Land of Canaan. A period of the judges follows and then the establishment of the Israelite monarchy. Thereafter, Israel is exiled from the Promised Land due to its disobedience.

The Book Of Galatians Of Paul To The Galations
The Book of Galatians is Galatia was a region in north-central Anatolia that is now known as Turkey. The Apostle Paul established the church in Galatia, but false prophets and teachers infiltrated and blatantly opposed the gospel when he departed. But Paul urged them, however, to keep the teaching they had received from him. He emphasized that a person is justified by faith in Christs death and resurrection, not by works or obeying the law. Paul reminded the Galatians of his life testimony, from persecutor of Christians to becoming a gospel preacher. Though he was persecuted, he urged them to remain steadfast in their devotion to God. As he said in Galatians 6:9, Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Book Summary: This book is a letter from Paul to the early Christian communities of Galatia. In his letter Paul speaks about the controversy between the Christian Jews and Christian Gentiles. Paul explains that people are not judged based on Mosaic law or their racial distinctions, but rather justified by their faith in Jesus Christ.

The Book of 1 John is considered a letter, though it lacks many characteristics seen in ancient Greek letters, such as a formal salutation. It is still connected to the book of John, which repeats the words, Jesus is the Word of God and believers are instructed to love one another. The book, which includes the second and third John, was written to encourage Christians to stick with Jesus teachings since some people said that Jesus was merely human. John reminded them that those who confess and expose their sins by asking forgiveness are the children of light, while those who deny him and his truth are the children of darkness. Second, because God is love, they were able to live a life full of love. We love because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19, NIV.
Book Summary: The book of John confirms the importance of Jesus Christ as Gods only Son in the flesh, and that he will provide salvation. Similar to other books, he also warns against false teachers and encourages readers to follow the Gospel of the Lord.

The Book Of Colossians Of Paul To The Colossians
The Book of Colossians is Paul wrote the letter to the church in Colossae while he was imprisoned. Colossae, an ancient Phrygian city in Anatolia, now Turkey, was a prominent city of Phrygia in Asia Minor. The primary message of this epistle is that Christ has supremacy over the entire universe. Jesus is the head of the church, instructing his followers to live their lives in accordance with Gods glory and to experience true life in fullness through Jesus Christ. Continue to follow Christ Jesus as you have accepted him as Lord. Paul also remarks on slaves who became followers of Christ to work for the Lord and not for men.
Book Summary: In the book of Colossians, Paul writes to the Church at Colossae to warn them of false teachers he clarifies to them that Jesus Christ is sole sustainer of all things and made in the image of God, his Creator.

The Books of the Bible is the first presentation of an unabridged committee translation of the Bible to remove chapter and verse numbers entirely and instead present the biblical books according to their natural literary structures. The Book Of 2 Thessalonians Of Paul To The Thessalonians
The Book of 2 Thessalonians is Pauls teaching from 1 Thessalonians is reinforced in this letter, addressed to a church at Thessalonica. People were claiming that Jesus had already returned. He gave further information about Christs return and how to get ready for it. Paul thanked God for the spiritual growth of believers despite their difficulties and suffering. He urged them to set an excellent example for other congregations and to work hard and be a burden to no one.
Book Summary: Similar to his first letter, Pauls second letter to the Thessalonians continues to encourage to be steadfast in their faithfulness. He also clarifies to them a misunderstanding that Christ has not yet returned but that they should continue to live responsibly for Him.

When I was creating my reading list for Chapter By Chapter this year, I suddenly needed a list of books of the Bible by chapters to build my reading plan.
Chapters and verses, of course, were added long after the Bible was written, so theyâre not inspired the way the text is, and you shouldnât read anything special into them.
But Iâm a fan of putting as many tools in your toolbox as possible. If you come up with some creative ways to use this data, let me know.

The Book Of 3 John Of John
The Book of 3 John wrote this letter to Gaius, a specific individual who had received the followers of the Lord and traveled to his place. Diotrephes took precisely the opposite action, refusing to welcome any of them and encouraging others to follow the same. John urged Gaius to continue what he was doing. In verse 11, he added, Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has never seen God. He also informed them how they may contribute to spreading the gospel by providing generous support to Gods workers.
Book Summary: In the shortest book in the New Testament, John writes a letter to Gaius and Demetrius praising them for their faithful service, and indirectly warns and condemns the behavior of Diotrephes.

The Book Of Revelation
The Book of Revelation is the final book of the Bible. John the Apostle penned this book while incarcerated on the island of Patmos for his Christian convictions. Patmos is an island located on the west coast of Turkey, the continent of Asia. This book is not just a prophetic book, but mainly a letter to the seven churches in the province of Asia. John may intentionally make it mysterious so that the non-believers may not understand the actual message. Moreover, John used Old Testament imagery that may appear to be a strange mystery, but its primary function is to stir up courage and faith in the early church to strengthen the Christian faith as a result of persecution. There is a God who will reward the faith of His people.
Book Summary: In this final book of the Bible, John unveils to readers of the apocalyptic times to come. He describes the imminent day when Christ will return and there will be a final battle of good verses evil, between God and Satan. Those who remain steadfast and faithful to God, despite persecution, will be blessed by Gods eternal glory in Heaven with Him.

An Overview Of The Old Testament & The New Testament
The Old Testament begins with the book of Genesis, which tells the story of how the world was created, and how God anointed his chosen people and taught them how to live. This includes famous stories like those of Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, and Noah’s Ark.
After Genesis, the different books of the Old Testament relate the trials of the Israelites as they endure centuries of enslavement or captivity under different empires. There is a general pattern where God sends a prophet to teach the Israelites how to live and to lead them from hardship, but over time they lose faith and find themselves suffering new hardships. The most famous example is Moses leading his people out of slavery in Egypt–the people are impious and must wander the desert for forty years before their descendants can enter the promised land.
Some of the other important episodes from the Old Testament include the rise of King David, the building of the Temple in Jerusalem, and the Babylonian Captivity. The Old Testament also includes various sayings and songs about morality, god, and other esoteric subjects.
The New Testament is concerned with the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, which are the basis for Christianity. His life story is told in the four Gospels . Almost all of the other books are letters written by Saint Paul or other Christian teachers, discussing their beliefs or giving advice.
