1222. 22 Important Bible Verses About Exposing Evil

A few weeks ago, a 6-year-old girl was rushed into the hospital .

When she presented, she couldnt stand upright and was in severe pain.

Her mother stood by her side and was concerned.

As she initially described what happened, she said she had run into a pot of boiling water.

And because of that, she sustained significant burns to large parts of her body.

Quickly, my team and I resuscitated the young girl and treated her wounds.

But as each day passed, we began to realize that the mother was lying.

The mechanism of injury to the patient didnt make sense.

And so, one of my colleagues decided to ask the little girl some questions.

For days, she was unable to speak or say anything because she was afraid of her mum.

But surprisingly, she found her voice and decided to tell all.

Her mum had gotten angry with her for coming home late.

As she said, she boiled water and poured it on her body.

In fact, she didnt blink an eye until the next day when she rushed her to the hospital.

Group 1 What The Bible Says About Evil

Bible Verses About Evil Women

Scripture lets us know to stay away from evil women. They are greedy, rebellious, unsubmissive, wicked, adulterous, gossiping, slandering, and sexually immoral women. Bad wives and evil women in the Bible have done great damage such as lead Solomon astray, betray Samson, and order the killing of John the Baptist.

Evil women will cause Christian men to compromise and sin. They are on the wrong path and will bring you down with them. Beware!

In every nice-sized church there are worldly women put there by Satan to trap godly men.

They might profess to know Christ, but watch out. It doesnt matter how beautiful she is.

It doesnt matter if you think its love. If a woman is persuading you to sin or is giving signs that she will not be a submissive wife, end the relationship.

It is best for a Christian man to find a true Christian woman. Proverbs 31:12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. What fellowship can light have with darkness?

She is going down the wrong path seeking men to bring down.

1. Proverbs 5:6 For she cares nothing about the path to life. She staggers down a crooked trail and doesnt realize it. So now, my sons, listen to me. Never stray from what I am about to say: Stay away from her! Dont go near the door of her house!

What Does the Bible Say About Satan and the Origin of Evil?: 100 Bible ...

The Bible has a number of things to say about the problem of evil. They include the following.

1. We Live In A Fallen World

The Bible recognizes that evil does exist. We live in a world that has fallen into sin.

2. God Is Not Responsible For Evil

Evil came as a result from the choice of humanity – not God. By giving humans choice there was the possibility to choose evil.

3. God Allows Evil To Exist By His Permission

Although we do not understand why He permits evil in every instance, we know that it only exists because He allows it. Evil cannot overrule

4. God Can Overrule Evil For Good

We find that God overrules wickedness for the good. In the account of Joseph in the Book of Genesis, we are told that his brothers sold him into slavery – thinking they would never see him again. By God’s grace, Joseph became a ruler of all Egypt.

Evil, by definition, is not logical. It is random. Therefore we should not expect it to operate in a righteous way.

6. When People Break God’s Laws, It Will Have Consequences

Do not be deceived God is not mocked, for you reap whatever you sow .

We cannot break the law of God without suffering the consequences.

7. God’s Is Involved In Solving The Problem Of Evil

God is directly involved in the problem of evil. Jesus, God’s Son, came to die to deal with the problem of evil. He died on Calvary’s cross to free humanity from pain and suffering, sin and death. Someday there will be a world when all these things will be non-existent. Scripture says.

Why Would God Who Is Not Evil Allow Evil To Continue To Exist

As with the other questions in this chapter, great theologians have struggledover how to effectively answer this. Paul, in his book to the Christiansin Rome, offers some insight into the overarching perspective that we shouldhave:

And we know that all things work together for good to thosewho love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

All things, including the evil in this world, have a purpose. God is glorifiedthrough the plan of salvation that He worked out from the beginning. From thefirst Adam to the Last Adam, God planned a glorious way to redeem a peoplefor himself through the promise of a Savior who would conquer both sin anddeath.

Jesus was glorified when He conquered Satan, sin, and death through Hisdeath and resurrection . Both God the Son and God the Father were glorified through the resurrection. Everything that happens is for the gloryof God, even when we cant see how God can be glorified from our limitedperspective.

Those who have received the gift of eternal life look forward to the timewhen we join God in heavena place there will be no evil . This 6,000-year-old cursed world is only a blip compared to eternity. This relatively brief time on earth is all the time that evil will be permitted.

What Are Demons And Where Did They Come From

Demons are fallen angels who were cast out of heaven for helping Satan rebel against God.

To understand what demons are, we must look to the ultimate evil spirit himself, Satan. Revelation tells us that Satan was once an angel in heaven, perhaps even a cherub . Because Satan was a heavenly being, we know that Satanas well as his angelic followerswere created good but, by their own free will, chose to reject God and become evil.

While we have no definitive answer as to whether Satan rebelled against God because of his own pride or some other reason, we do know that a war erupted in heaven in which the archangel Michael and his angels fought against Satan and his angels . Satan and the other fallen angels were defeated and, as punishment for their rebellion, were cast out of heaven . Satan became the prince of demons and he and the other fallen angels were hurled to the earth and ultimately condemned to hell .

The Problem Of Evil Mackie

Summarizing the problem of evil, they can say that God cannot exist if evil exists, but Makis argument was not that God does not fully exist, but that God does not exist as an omnipotent or perfect God. He argued that both the omniscient God and the present existence of evil contradict each other logically.

Bible Verses About Evil Spirits

What Does the Bible Say About Evil?

God was performing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul,so that handkerchiefs or aprons were even carried from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out.But also some of the Jewish exorcists, who went from place to place, attempted to name over those who had the evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, I adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches.

What Does The Bible Mean When It Says God Sent An Evil Spirit On Certain People

Question: In Judges 9:23, I Samuel 16:15ff and 18:10 it is said that God sends evil spirits on people. Doesnt this support the idea that everything Satan and demons do is under Gods sovereign control?

Answer: Ill make six points in response to this question.

1) If everything Satan and demons do is under Gods sovereign control, wed have to say God has a specific good reason for everything Satan and demons do. This in turn entails that we can no longer explain any evil in the world by appealing to nefarious spirits or even evil human decisions for that matter for behind everything spirits and human agents do is Gods sovereign control. If theres a different way of interpreting these texts, therefore, I think it should be preferred.

2) The fact that Yahweh fights evil spirits throughout the Bible is enough to suggest that spirits arent always under his sovereign control. Most importantly, all of our thinking about God must be centered on the person of Jesus Christ, and Jesus uniformly manifests the will of God by coming against evil spirits. He never suggests that evil spiritual agents are carrying out the will of God.

3) Many scholars argue that the word spirit used in some Old Testament passages doesnt refer to a spirit being, but is rather just an ancient way of personifying human attitudes. So, for example, the TNIV translates Judges 9:23, God stirred up animosity between Abimelek and the citizens of Shechem

How Scripture Speaks Of Evil

Evil is used in Scripture in two ways. First, Scripture speaks of evil as moral wickedness in terms of sin . English speakers would understand evil in this way, but the Hebrew language is highly contextual.

The Old Testament references moral evil as closely connected to catastrophe, disaster, tragedy, or ugliness . Isaiah 31:2 even uses the phrase evil in both ways.

While modern English translations use evil for morality, older translations such as Isaiah 45:7 in the KJV use evil as disaster, therefore resulting in confusion in understanding the term.Moral evil is contrary to the nature of God and never necessary. The Lord offers a solution that no matter the situation, it does not and will not require evil .

Moral evil is neither justified by the moral law of God nor excused by any situation. Some people think that any kind of sin may be permissible, but, in truth, it is never necessary in the eyes of the Lord.It also needs to be explained that circumstances define actions themselves. This should not be viewed as situational ethics, which has, at its foundation, no objective moral laws beyond the ends justifies the means.

Instead, its an acknowledgment that morality is not defined by words but by our response to the will of God in each moment of our lives .

Yet, as GotQuestions also points out, it also needs to be said, not every instance of one man killing another is murder. For example, capital punishment , self-defense , and legitimate war are not examples of murder.

Applying The Scriptures: Calling Good Evil And Evil Good Is Ploy Utilized By Satan

Without doubt, Isaiah prophesied as much for the present dispensation as he did for his own. One prophecy that appears to be aimed at the present is his warning:

“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil that put darkness for light, and light for darkness that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” At the October 1995 general conference, Elder Durrel A. Woolsey of the Seventy said: “Satan offers a strange mixture of just enough good to disguise the evil along his downward path to destruction, as described by Nephi, an ancient prophet, when he said:

” `For behold, at that day shall he rage in the hearts of the children of men, and stir them up to anger against that which is good.

” `And others will he pacify, and lull them away into carnal security, that they will say: All is well in Zion yea, Zion prospereth, all is well – and thus the devil cheateth their souls, and leadeth them away carefully down to hell.’ ”

Elder Woolsey said: “Satan does rage in the hearts of some. Many he will lull away into carnal security others he flattereth, or he says there is no hell. He has lured and enlisted many followers with enticements of fame, riches, and power. He forges a Rembrandt-quality representation by calling evil good and good evil. He has confused many people, even nations and leaders, to the point of an immoral approach to moral issues.

Elder Woolsey gave 10 symptoms or warnings that one has begun traveling on a descending path:

Sin The Root Cause Of All Troubles: What The Bible Says About Evil

Pin by SoulOnFire4God5 on What The Bible Says in 2020

Everywhere in this world we find heartache, strife, sickness, poverty, injustice and a host of other ills. Why cant men live in peace and enjoy the good things in this earth? The Bible gives us the answer to these questions and tells us how to be born again and what that means. He tells us in His Book that all the troubles in the world are due to either my sin or someone elses. All of mankind is sinful, thus separated from the holiness of God.

Sin and the Wages of Sin

For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

What exactly is sin? If you asked ten different people, you might get ten different answers. Some might say that sin is doing something wrong or breaking the law, while others might say that sin is hurting another person or taking an innocent life. Still others might deny the very existence of sin, saying that there is no such thing as right or wrong in short, that there are no real absolutes in this world. However, most people agree that there are certain actions that are wrong, and should be punishable by fines, imprisonment or even death.

Even the person who doesnt believe in right or wrong would have a hard time observing a maniac rape and murder a small child, and say that what happened to them was not a crime.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 1 John 1:8

What Is The Eternal Fate Of Demons

Demons know that Jesus will ultimately defeat them and Satan.

The Bible tells us that Jesus became man for the very purpose of destroying the devils work . We see many instances in Scripture of Jesus authority to cast out demons who serve the devil .

In fact, demons themselves know that Jesus is more powerful than them and that their days are numbered. For example, when Jesus confronted the demons in Matthew 8:29, they acknowledged His ultimate authority and their eventual demise by shouting at Jesus: What do you want with us, Son of God?… Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?

The Bible affirms that Jesus will ultimately vanquish Satan and all his demons once and for all . These depraved forces are bound to an eternity in hell, described in the Bible as the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels .
