Importance Of The Subject

In the United States, the Bible is often hailed as a divinely inspired book. Television and radio carry religious programs praising the Bible as the holy and infallible word of God. Religious groups also distribute vast amounts of books, magazines, tapes, pamphlets, and other items. The materials promote the idea that, as televangelist Pat Robertson has said, The Bible . . . is a workable guidebook for politics, business, families and all the affairs of mankind.

The Bible is also extolled by many politicians. For instance, President Ronald Reagan signed into law an Act of Congress proclaiming 1983 to be the Year of the Bible. The law described the Bible as the Word of God and said there is a national need to study and apply its teachings.

Thousands of other religious and political leaders throughout the U.S. promote the Bible. In most communities, an opposing view is rarely, if ever, heard.

The massive and incessant promotion of the Bible significantly influences the beliefs of millions. A Gallup poll showed that over 30% of Americans believe that the Bible is the word of God and its teachings should be taken literally. Gallup identified an additional 25% of Americans who consider the Bible as inspired by God, but think some verses should be interpreted symbolically rather than literally.

Atheism As Rejection Of Religious Beliefs

A central, common core of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam is the affirmation of the reality of one, and only one, God. Adherents of these faiths believe that there is a God who created the universe out of nothing and who has absolute sovereignty over all his creation this includes, of course, human beingswho are not only utterly dependent on this creative power but also sinful and who, or so the faithful must believe, can only make adequate sense of their lives by accepting, without question, Gods ordinances for them. The varieties of atheism are numerous, but all atheists reject such a set of beliefs.

Atheism, however, casts a wider net and rejects all belief in spiritual beings, and to the extent that belief in spiritual beings is definitive of what it means for a system to be religious, atheism rejects religion. So atheism is not only a rejection of the central conceptions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam it is, as well, a rejection of the religious beliefs of suchAfrican religions as that of the Dinka and the Nuer, of the anthropomorphic gods of classical Greece and Rome, and of the transcendental conceptions of Hinduism and Buddhism. Generally atheism is a denial of God or of the gods, and if religion is defined in terms of belief in spiritual beings, then atheism is the rejection of all religious belief.

Is It Worth The Shot

The answer to this question depends on who you listen to. Vaccine advocates will tell you that it is beneficial while anti-vaxxers will tell you they dont. With so many self-proclaimed experts out there, its really difficult to sift the truth from lies.

Perhaps, it is worth noting why some people are against vaccines. Here are some of them:

  • Some of the most common vaccines were produced and cultured in aborted fetal cell lines.
  • Hepa B vaccines are designed to combat hepatitis B, a sexually transmitted disease. Babies dont have sex and are not at risk of Hepa B and thus, no need to give them Hepa B shots.
  • Vaccines produce adverse reactions.
  • Some vaccines include blood products of biblically unclean animals.
  • Vaccines contain harmful substances that include mercury, formaldehyde, aluminum, antibiotics, gelatin, and monosodium glutamate.
  • Pharmaceutical companies are more concerned about money-making and not really after the general welfare of the public.
  • Vaccines, especially those new ones, didnt undergo proper testing.
  • Naturally boosting the immune system is still considered as the best method of improving health.

The Fool Says In His Heart There Is No God: Atheism In The Bible And In Late Antiquity

What does the Bible say about Atheism and being an Atheist?

The Bible is nothing if not a small library of books very much focused on God. God is presented as the Creator of the Universe, the architect of the planet earth humanity s home and of humanity itself. In the Bible God has revealed his character, his law, his wisdom, his g race, and his redemptive purposes. Through his prophets God has spoken to humanity in a variety of circumstances and on a great many themes and topics. God has rebuked humanity, including his own special people Israel, for its corrupt and sinful activities. Chief among these is humanitys tendency to indulge in idolatry, either in worshipping various gods or in making idols that represent these gods. There are passages in the Bible where humanity is rebuked for ignoring God. Yet curiously, the Bible says very little about atheism, the belief that there is no God.

Of course, having said that, a well-known verse immediately comes to mind : The fool says in his heart, There is no God. The verse in fact occurs in two passages in the book of Psalms . Psalms 14 and 53 are slightly different versions of the same psalm, appearing in two distinct books that make up the five books of the Psalter. Most commentators believe Psalm 14 is closer to the original form of the psalm. In yet another psalm the same assertion appears. According to Psalm 10 we are told that the thoughts of the wicked may be summed up as There is no God and God has forgotten, he has hidden his face, he will never see it .

    Biblical Principles To Remember

Theres no doubt there are two sides to the coin when it comes to vaccines. It is up to you to make the decision whether to get a shot or not.

Im the first one to admit that Im not an expert when it comes to the topic of vaccines. Im not an expert when it comes to the perceived benefits or harmful effects of this medical practice. However, Im willing to learn and thats exactly what Im going to do. Ill do my own research and see for myself whether vaccines are good or not.

As of now, I believe it is important to share with you biblical principles you need to remember whether you should use vaccines or not. Here are some of them:

  • The whole world is deceived by Satan . This means that the majority is not always right. Dont readily trust people based on what they say.
  • Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit . You have the duty to take care of it. Thus, you shouldnt simply let any foreign materials or microbes get inside your body.
  • To receive vaccines or not is thankfully not primarily a salvation issue. God will not prevent you from entering His Kingdom for having or not having vaccines.
  • Our life is in the hands of the Most High . It is not vaccines, doctors, pharmaceutical companies who will ultimately save you. Though we need to do our part, we must trust the Almighty above all.
  • The reason I wrote this blog is not to convince you whether to get vaccines or not, but rather for you to seek out the truth.

Realize That The Purpose Of The Text Is Condemnation

There is a way to both affirm inspiration and inerrancy while at the same time denying that God had anything to do with it.

I am working on writing a more thorough explanation for a future book on this subject, but the short explanation is that we can view the Bible as a divinely-inspired text which inerrantly reveals human error. In this way, we get a glimpse into our own hearts by reading Scripture.

We see ourselves on the pages. We see our tendency to demonize our enemies. We see our desire to take what is not ours. We see our addiction to blaming God for our own evil actions. We see our habit of scapegoating the outsider. We see how easy it is to excuse our own sin and turn a blind eye to our moral failures.

When we approach Scripture this way, we can agree with the Atheists about the moral repugnance of these violent texts, but then turn around and say that the reason God inspired these texts to be written in Scripture is not to justify such behavior and actions, but to challenge us to not do such things ourselves.

Agnosticism is the view that the existence of God, of the divine or the supernatural is unknown or unknowable. Bible Verses On Atheism

There are many things in the Bible about why we should believe in God… why He is truth and the light. But what does the Bible say about atheism? Those who don’t believe in God?There aren’t many verses that specifically call out atheists or non-believers, but there are Bible verses about atheism. The Bible identifies those who say there is no God as fools. They are fools because the evidence of God everywhere. These people are corrupt and should not be believed.

    • Psalms 53:1The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.
    • John 4:24God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
    • John 6:44No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
    • Romans 1:19Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them for God hath shewed it unto them.
    • Romans 1:20For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead so that they are without excuse:

Communist Inspirations From The Old And New Testaments

Is it possible that Marx’s famous line “From each according to his ability, to each according to his need” took its inspiration directly from the New Testament? Immediately following this second passage is a very interesting story about a couple, Ananias and Sapphira, who sold a piece of property but only gave the community a portion of the proceeds, keeping some of it for themselves. When Peter confronts them with this, they both fall down and die — leaving the impression that they were struck dead.

Killing bourgeoisie landowners who fail to give all of their money to the community? That’s not merely communism, that’s Stalinism.

Of course, in addition to the above, there are many, many statements attributed to Jesus which emphasize doing all that you can to help the poor — even to the point of him recommending that a rich man sell all of his possessions and give the money to the poor if he really wishes to get into heaven. The Old Testament also indicates that something akin to communism is the preferable way to live:

This is what the Lord has commanded: Gather of it, every man of you, as much as he can eat you shall take an omer apiece, according to the number of persons who each of you has in his tent. And the people of Israel did so they gathered some more, some less. But when they measured it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack each gathered according to what he could eat.

What Does The Bible Teach About Vaccines

    173 best Atheism

Obviously, the words vaccine and vaccination arent found in the Bible. These are modern medical concepts that were used and popularized way back in the 1940s.

The Bible is specifically silent on the use of vaccines. It does not promote or prohibit its use. However, this does not mean that we should not do our part in exploring the pros and cons when it comes to vaccinations.

    The Bible tells us:

Test all things hold fast what is good .

We also need to be like the Bereans . Though it was the Scripture that they were studying, we can also apply the same principle when it comes to examining what others are telling us.

    Bible Verses About Atheism

Atheists are some of the most religious and faithful people ever. It takes an incredible amount of faith to be an atheist. Sun, moon, stars, oceans, the Earth, animals, babies, male, female, the human heart, emotions, our conscience, love, intelligence, the human mind, bone structure, the human reproductive system, biblical prophecies coming true all before our eyes, eyewitness accounts of Jesus, and more and still there are some people who deny Gods existence.

Just stop and think about it. Its impossible for something to come from nothing. To say nothingness caused nothing and created everything is absurd! Nothing will always remain nothing.

    J. S. Mill who was a non-Christian philosopher said, It is self-evident that only mind can create mind. For nature to make itself is a scientific impossibility.

Atheism cant explain existence. Atheists live by science, but science changes. God and the Bible remain the same. They know there is a God.

He is revealed in creation, through His Word, and through Jesus Christ. Everybody knows that God is real, people just hate Him so much they suppress the truth.

Behind every creation there is always a creator. You might not know the person who built your house, but you know it didnt just get there on its own.

What Does the Bible Say about Abortion

Absolutely nothing! The word “abortion” does not appear in any translation of the bible.

Out of more than 600 laws of Moses, none comments on abortion. One Mosaic law about miscarriage specifically contradicts the claim that the bible is antiabortion, clearly stating that miscarriage does not involve the death of a human being. If a woman has a miscarriage as the result of a fight, the man who caused it should be fined. If the woman dies, however, the culprit must be killed:

“If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished according as the woman’s husband will lay upon him and he shall pay as the judges determine.

“And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life, Eye for eye, tooth for tooth . . .” Ex. 21:22-25

The bible orders the death penalty for murder of a human being, but not for the expulsion of a fetus.
